Vintage Story is a post-apocalyptic sandbox survival block-like game with Lovecraftian-like themes and a lot of lore. It's in early access and has a ton of options for how to play. It even has a thriving modding community and was built with modding in mind. It can get a bit overwhelming at times to try to undersdtand just how much there is available to you with this game so I've made this video (and others) to help you to understand from the basics to the advanced. so i just started playing the game recently and watching this series, this game has so many in depth mechanics in it its actually insane and the amount of building freedom you get is so good and its still in early access. i think i might have found my new favorite game
And there's still many more mechanics that hasn't been covered in the playlist yet.

Yeah and the mods add even more. I have about 60 hrs into the game so far and I still feel like I don’t know everything about the game yet.

The most daunting part of the game haha. I'm a huge builder in Minecraft, but really just ready to jump into something new. Mostly stuck to vanilla Minecraft, so chisel is completely new for me. Gonna be timeconsuming as hell, but so many ideas already!
The building in this game is amazing, it would be crazy if they somehow let you make your own shelfs and tables, like being able to actually place bowls, crocks, candles, etc in specific parts of chiseled blocks.
First time i got a chisel i went crazy chiseling every wall i saw

Wow, that is just insane. I have a number of hours in the game so far, and I've mostly focused on just surviving my first winter, but this opens up a lot of creative possibilities for later though.
Nice tutorials. Shows concepts, points out the oddities and exceptions and provides use-cases, while not holding you by the hand and giving specific blueprints or recipes.

Instead of /worldconfig miscroblockChiseling
Remove the s in "miscro"

Please do a video on leatherworking and also tips for finding Lime, if possible. I've been travelling for days in my world and haven't had any luck finding it.
Will do. Lime is only one option. Try chalk or borax too! Traders can sometimes help.

Love you videos and love the game but I do get stuck sometimes on things so I'm just going to ask. How did you pick up a copy of a block without going to the creative inventory? I've been searching everywhere online and I can't find the mouse or keyboard shortcut to make this happen. Probably very simple, but I cannot figure it out and its driving me crazy. Please help! How do you remove a different block from a chiseled block?
how do you remove the blocks you added to the chiseled block? is that even possible?
the opposite mouse button but you have to be aiming at part of the chiseled block you want to restore.

I adore chiseling but there NEEDS to be a way to copy chiselled blocks somehow in survival. I want to do larger builds but it becomes incredibly tedious with how detailed I like to get... Let me get some schematics PLEASE, blueprints, something that'll let me recreate the thing I spent hours chiselling by doing something else...
There are some great mods that do that nicely
