I initially missed the entire feast scene because I was too busy laughing over Jack Black being in freaking Star Wars.
You didn't miss anything.
To me Jack Black being in Star Wars is completely natural and he has been head-cast as Voort "Piggy" saBinring for decades.
Can’t believe Jack black is now in Star Wars along with Christopher Lloyd it feels weird.
I think it’s even crazier that fuckin Lizzo is canon in the Star Wars universe 😭😭😭
@@roycetheprodigy8394 yeah it’s a weird feeling like I would have never thought that they would be a part of it some day.
Looks like everyone is full of surprises.
I think Lloyd said he was in the show a while ago
also Lizzo lmao
Now that we're seeing that the separatist cause survived into the new republic era, I NEED to see Kalani. Dude is still out there.
He lived enough to remember Dooku and the Jedi Enforcer who shall remain nameless 😅😅😅

General Kalani shall rise again!
Who's Kalani again?
It was so cool to hear Count Dooku to be mentioned!😮
I’ve seen some heavy criticism of this episode. But I was thoroughly entertained by almost every minute of it. Seeing Jack Black and Christopher freaking Lloyd was awesome, and I loved the way Mando found a way for Bo to take the Dark Saber.
Some people aren’t happy unless everything is dark and serious. Some even seem to need death and gore or they hate it. Not me. I loved this. It wasn’t perfect (there were some contrivances and a bit of odd dialog) but it was still a very solid installment.
And great work from you, as usual. Your empathy for the droids was particularly noteworthy, and laudable.
i think it’s a nice way for Bo Katan to get the darksaber without her and Din fighting so they can work together and not have any hard feelings without it being gifted essentially
As Gideon said in the season 2 finale, what matters is the story, and specifically if the people being led accept that story. Axe Woves and his crew seem to accept Bo's story of saving Din, so it all checks out. And you're definitely right with Din's weapon, he kinda needs a new main one
If they bring in Hondo live-action, it'd be an absolute amazing "I smell... PROFIT!" moment. XD
Here from the future: just wait until episode 3 of Ahsoka 😅
@zoomerunion2393 what?
Star Wars with a Back to the Future cameo. My childhoods have truly merged. 😂
I believe they played a Delorean sound effect from the movies on the one security feed of the speeder going out of control
@@jneumy566 oh?
@@jacktheflash8478 either that, or it was a speeder sound effect from the OT which was then used in Back to the Future for the Delorean. Which is still poetic that it's an original Star Wars sound effect that jumped to Back to the Future and is now used in the same scene as Christopher Lloyd
@JustFacts they gotta get Keanu Reeves to play live action Darth Revan hopefully
if i remember correctly, this is the first time i ever saw a B2 Super BattleDroid run in both live-action/animation and printed media. they always slow marched forward, even at their peril. cool to see.
The closest thing to panic I remember from them was in the first Episode of CW. Where Yoda lifts one to shoot down the rest and he says: "Don't shoot, I'm having a serious malfunction. I'm on your side."
@@theendlesschapter3720 that is right.
Watching this is the only thing that cheers me up after the end of The Bad Batch
U drunk this was terrible and bad batch was good wym😭
@@QuinlanVoss. True, this episode was semi-filler but now I’m less pissed about the bad batch season two finale
No kidding, I've spent the last week in tears off and on almost non-stop.
Technically, this episode had a bad batch in it too.
@@warrionusprime2992 why were you pissed?
christopher lloyd in a star wars show doing scenes with jack black and lizzo would have been right at the top of my list of impossible things that would never happen...AND YET!!! LOL
He never really wanted the darksaber. He never really connected with it, which is why it didn't work for him.
It was shocking seeing Jack Black of all people in Star Wars.
Not a loophole. I've been saying all along that the monster took the saber from him, and then she took it from the monster.
We really got a “The South Will Rise Again” villain in Star Wars lmao
I knew it that they would solve the problem with the darksaber this way. This monster in the second episode seemed random, but they specifically showed how Mando lost the darksaber and how Bo Katan took it to defeat the enemy. Since this moment, I said that she is technically the rightful owner of the darksaber and could claim it.
But this episode still managed to surprise me, because I really didn't expect to see Jack Black in a star wars show.
I got some serious "Lethal Weapon" meets "Law & Order" vibes from Din and Bo-Kataan in this episode...and I loved it. And personally, I don't get the internet hate for this season. Yes, Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau have tied this series into the larger Star Wars "universe," but from season 1 episode 1, this is an episodic story-not an 8 hour movie. Too many people are spoiled by the amazing finale to season2. I just want to watch these characters have weekly adventures.
The world/lore building continues to be ever more of a pure delight... And the way the writers & actors bring such subtle layers to every character (whether it is whole new characters or characters we know already), it is really great to see ! And it can be felt that all actors highly enjoy to be part of this series/story that's already iconic and keeps becoming always more endearing with every new episode... How deeply satisfying and rewarding it is to see were the story is going and how the main and supporting characters (Din Djarrin, Bo-Katan Kryze, Grogu, The Armorer, Paz Vizla, Axe Woves) keep learning and evolving from every slightest situation or event that occur... How beautiful.
This world, this story and these characters... What a wonderful series to witness.
*PS : Since very early on in the series, I've always been thinking that "The Mandalorian" does not at all has to be about Din Djarrin only... I think Din is the protagonist we follow through this whole story that keeps evolving and taking us to the point where Mandalore is retaken and its people fully reunited. And Din is very much the type of person able to naturally create bonds with any culture in the galaxy... So I totally see him being the 2nd in command for Bo-Katan, and chief of diplomacy. Him and Bo-Katan make a great team together (their loving couple is hinted since a good while, and I personally love this)... She has a long experience and deep knowledge about The Mandalorian culture from the inside of the Realm ; leadership's in her DNA (and she's cool, and baddass) : while The Armorer is more like the voice of wisdom, past knowledge and preservation of the culture/spiritual beliefs (while also being very cool too)... Grogu for sure is gonna play an important role in the future ; his life span is a huge factor, and you can see him already making valuable friends for the future of Mandalore, therefore I totally see him combining the forces of these various tutors that he has around him : Daddy Din, Mommy Bo, Aunty Armorer...
You sure they won’t do an armorer
For a moment I thought _Mandalorian_ mercenaries might have been hired to free *Gideon.* But since he was a key player in the destruction of Mandalore, it's highly unlikely any _Mandalorian_ (mercenary or otherwise) would free *Gideon.*
I'm amazed that, in every reaction I've watched, no one has asked why they didn't get the Mandalorians already contracted to "protect the planet" to take care of the droid problem. NOPE! instead they chose to rope Bo-Katan and Din Jarin into doing the side quest. It's got to be because of Grogu. They wanted to snuggle the cuteness.
They answered that exact question in the episode 😅😂
This was such a freakin' weird episodes. But I love it.
Yeah Episode did feel like a semi Clone Wars side mission..real odd it was placed this far into this season. Hopefully last few eps pops off doe, and we get the story juice we craving🥲
It's funny that there were some fans out there that guessed that "loophole" on why Bo Katan had the right to own the darksaber again. I thought it was a stretch, but it turns out that every once in a while fan theories do come true.
Thanks, Primate! 👑 How fabulous to see *Lizzo* as 'the Duchess', *Jack* *Black* as 'Captain Bombardier' and *Christopher* *Lloyd* as 'Commissioner Helgait'?! #ItsAPrimate #StarWars #Lizzo #JackBlack #ChristopherLloyd #TheMandalorian
Haha, freaking Mandalorian being such a hit, every actor wants a piece of it!!
@@RyoHazuki224 true
This episode felt like a joke, but I honestly enjoyed it! And her comment on “politics” was awesome kind of connects to the world we live in. And the battle droids for my generation was what we grew up with! Was it an amazing episode? Not really, but did I want more? Yes. I think seeing this world, and the characters, proves that with a good story, Star Wars may be forever expanding and everlasting! Also the whole detective thing going this episode, made me think I would 100% watch a Star Wars crime related show 😂
all the cameos had me laughing my ass off but in a good way, it was silly but a good kind of silly lol
Perhaps they could named this episode The MamanDeLorean (in honour to Grogu's new Mandalorian leader mama Bo, and guest Doc Brown)? 😂
Co-op Quest Complete: Good Cop, Bad Cop
It's very clear that Bo katan is the new main character of this show.
I have a strange feeling that they're setting up Din and Bo-Katan to *_become an item_* 🤔😳!
Anyone else agree 🤔?
If we think about this Ezra stole the darksaber from maul so it wasn't technically won, obi wan beat maul, then vader beat Obi-Wan and luke beat vader, so technically the dark saber should be lukes
If u really wanna go down there...technically after Maul won it, the first person he lost to was Palpatine, and he was even using it in that fight. Who defeated Sidious in the OG trilogy end? Vader. And then Vader died pretty much immediately after he did that, so technically shouldn't Vader have been the last true owner of the Dark Saber? Is it Elder Wand rules like this seems to suggest at the end of the episode, or does it need to be won over a challenge for the Saber outright? Maul clearly beat Pre Vizla in a straight up challenge for the saber/postion. Din won it straight up from Gideon but if u go the logic this is suggesting, then either 1) it wasn't his truly to pass on since presumably he got it from Bo, who didn't have a valid claim anyways OR 2) since Mando defeated Gideon at the end of Season 1 in the TIE, it should have been his from then on.
I’m so fucking happy about Jack Black being in Star Wars.
Yes that's Jack Black, Lizzo , and Christopher Lloyd
Any other Echo fans out there who hissed at the screen when they heard Techno Union?
I've mentioned this to multiple people, but to me, it seems like Bo and Din are starting to get too attached, and if a love interest starts happening, someone will die. That's just the Star Wars mantra. When love shows up someone usually dies.
And it will be mando getting his face smashed in😂
Not only did they take away the dark saber and mandalorian throne away from bo katan off screen, but they used a stupid loophole to give it back to her.
Also why did Mando wait so long to give bo katan the dark saber? Bo katans redemption scene would have been the perfect time to hand over the dark saber.
This also completes the undoing of Mandos character arc.
We got baby Yoda back before season 3 even started, Mando got back with the clan, and now Mando has lost the dark saber.
Baby Yoda hasn't done anything important to the plot in the entire show besides needing to be rescued.
Going off with Luke was the perfect sendoff for baby yoda.
I said before that I didn't want the season to be about the redemption of Mando, but if that was the overarching story of season 3 at least the Season wouldn't feel so random and disorganized.
Curious to see if other Mandalorians will accept that logic, like Ursa Wren.
By season five(maybe even 4) Bo will be The Mandalorian that the title refers to.
Right off the bat you guessed it was mandalorians on that ship way faster than me, I didn't put it together they would be in an imperial ship till they were shown
14:56 I almost wanted him to say Anakin's name. XD Is that just me?
10:39 well the team must have either gotten better or it’s a different team altogether
I think I'm starting to come around to this episode now. When I first watched it last night, less than an hour after I finished, I had completely forgotten that I had even watched it and was wondering what made me stay up so late. The veer in a very different direction was a bit jarring upon first viewing, even something as small as staying from the typical title tradition of the titles just being "The something", the strangely upbeat tone of it all and all the focus on Bo Katan in Din's show was kind of strange at first. And their loophole with the Darksaber is still something I don't like because it goes against everything we know about it and have told thus far which is that it has to be won in combat and getting caught in a giant cages bear trap is not combat. But I do enjoy the further worldbuilding of showing the Separatist cause still being a small but present thing at this point in time
What a great episode!!! Bo-Katan is officially the leader she was destined to be. The tribes uniting is coming and like she said "Mandalorian's are stronger together".
Great? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Sure, and so is Attack of the Clones.

At least you can see the way of a buildup. I can understand the frustration of the fans, but there’s one thing they need to understand sometimes a balance is much better than perfection.
"balance is much better than perfection" I don't think you know what perfection means lol
@@Kdeem.224 Let’s say everyone wants things to be perfect all the time that it’s perfection and as soon as they get that they become greedy and obsessed.
And let’s just say the fans of Star Wars had become very selfish with that. They deserve a very harsh punishment for that one that will come soon.
Comparisons between Declining the Throne and Arguing in Favor of A Female Acquaintance to Be Ruler Instead:
Din Djarin - Publicly makes an eloquent speech that appeals to the values of the warrior culture he is speaking to wherein he explains why he is no longer a viable candidate to rule but why Bo Katan is in fact more deserving. The result is Bo Katan earning the Darksaber without having to fight/kill an ally and she regains the allegiance of her former army.
HBO Jon Snow: Parrots the same series of stock phrases (“We NEED ALLIES”, “I DUNT WANT IT” “U R MAI QUEEN”), refuses to publicly elaborate on HBO Daenerys’ qualifications and privately shares information that hurts her cause. Result is HBO Dany stews in her grief and insecurities and ultimately snaps and becomes her father’s daughter

Honestly I didn’t like this episode at all feels like just a bunch of random side quests that have nothing to do with the story and there’s still no plot and there’s only two episodes left. 😬
I mean, rebuilding Mandalore is the plot. But yea the last like 8mins is all that that pushed 😅
@ItsAPrimate I love that they brought back the battle droids in live action! 😃 I always identified with the separatists in star wars when it came to there political ideology. I like that the battle droids are trying to contribute to society in a positive way. An I love that there are still people in the star wars universe that still identify with the separatists even at this point in the time-line. I hope that we get to see more of the battle droids in the future in more star wars projects animated and live action.
Wow, and I thought Bobf had some bad episodes. Yikes. Guess all the rumors have been true.
honestly i didn’t like this episode very much din giving away the dark saber seemed so cheap and unearned he never even got a chance to train/ use it bo had her chance to rule and fail din won the darksaber in combat legitimately he should he mandalore
The toxic star wars fanbase drives me bananas. I loved this episode, it was fun, creative and reminded me a lot of something you'd see in clone wars. Just a good old slice of life detective story. Yet the toxic fanbase shit on it because it's "filler."

When I was watching this episode, I was getting some RoboCop meet Back to the Future than till the close of end with a Combat Game within this episode. It’s funny and odd episode for witnessing it. 😅
Liked the ep, like a buddy cop episode with some good cop/bad cop. Its been getting bad reviews due to lack of overall storyline but I found it fun, why rush things?
Actually neither one of them are the true owners of the darksaber. The true owner of the darksaber does not fit in the current timeline of the final three movies. Darth Maul won the darksaber in combat and became the ruler of Mandalore. Then Emperor Palpatine beat Darth Maul in combat. Then Darth Vader destroyed Palpatine. When Darth Vader died by Mandalore law the sword would then be passed down to the next of kin. The true owner of the darksaber is Luke Skywalker
Actually wouldn't it be no one's after Vader died? Luke beats Vader, palps beats Luke, Vader kills Palps, Vader dies. That should have been it right there since the first thing Vader did after becoming the "wielder was die. Luke beat him BEFORE he would have had claim to the Saber, not after
@Threshman9182 Entertainment however in Mandalorian lore whoever is holding the darksaber passes away then transfer to the next of kin so Luke would inherit the sabre. There is a whole video on CZcams about it
@@kid582120 cool cool thanks. So let's try it as presented in the shows then. Maul gains the Saber, loses to Palpatine. He reclaims it after escaping Palpatine and uses it to even fight Grevious in the Son Of Dathomir comic. How are we describing losing? Maul doesn't lose one on one to Grevious but his forces are defeated and forced to flee. I'm cool with that not being considered a defeat cause it's not one on one. Cool. Next time we see it, it's with Maul and Maul isn't defeated but just leaves it there and Sabine takes it. So I assume in this instance the Saber recognized Maul abandoned it as he did Mandalore, so with the work Sabine does to train with it, she has its allegiance and it can work for her. Then she gives it to Bo. By the rules presented ok, we can see that Bo wouldn't be recognized as the leader cause she didn't win it. So wouldn't that make Moff Gideon having it irrelevant with that logic and therefore every time it changed hands after that it wouldn't matter anyways? Since it should definitely still be Sabines? It's been a while since I last watched Rebels season 4 but did Sabine suffer any one v one losses in combat after that?
@@ThreshmanEntertainment czcams.com/video/WZAoOO_XDbE/video.html
@@ThreshmanEntertainment the rule is you don't have to be in possession of the saber in order to own it nor do you have to be in possession of it to lose it in combat. When Darth Maul lost to Palpatine the ownership of the sabre goes to Palpatine. Even though Darth Maul took it with him when he escaped he was no longer the owner of the sword darksaber. Palpatine would be the rightful owner and ruler of Mandalore. Once Darth Vader destroys Palpatine then ownership of the darksaber would transfer to him. After he passes get his first born would inherit the darksaber which was Luke. Or if you wish to look at it from another way. When Darth Maul escaped with the darksaber after his fight with Palpatine, if he was still considered the owner of the darksaber then you can look to his loss to Obi-Wan Kenobi in Rebels. Which means obi-wan-kenobi would be the owner losing it to Darth Vader in episode 4 which again would be passed down to Luke after Darth Vader dies. Either way the rightful owner of the darksaber and Bi-Rite ruler of Mandalore is Luke Skywalker
Everyone out here saying Jack Black is what was distracting how about Lizzo...
As much as I loved Din with the Dark Saber, it just didn’t fit him. It wasn’t his style
I-ight, watched your entire reaction and analysis now. I absolutely love your take.
loved seeing Christopher Lloyd but also made me sad how old he's looking and Jack Black is always a treat the episode was OK not much really happens to be honest to move the plot along much another side mission.. Honestly a lot of wasted episodes this season.. I would feel different if we had 12 episodes
I thought it was interesting when Din & Paz fought they had to remove their jet packs but Bo and Woves didn’t. Boba Fett doesn’t fall under what Bo-Katan said about Din cause Boba Fett never took the creed. He gets to keep his suit cause it was his dads who was a foundling. I like that Din found a way to get Bo back the Dark Saber. It was true that creature caught Din and got the Dark Saber from Din. Unless there’s specific rules written about how the Dark Saber gets won. All I’ve seen is you have to win it from your opponent in “battle” which also depends on what each person sees what a battle means.
It's probably because the clans all believe in different things. Bo's group doesnt believe in what Din's group does.
Well done, not perfect but not awful either.
(Now, let’s get our home back)
Jack Black And Christopher Lloyd are not Cameos tge definition of a Cameo is a famous person who have one brief scene and lines and they both have multiple scenes they're guess stars

Ah yes, the sidequest of a sidequest episode... in season 3. This could have passed if it were in S1 or S2, or even the beginning of S3, but this late into the season? This episode could have been 15 minutes long and had the same effect (beginning and end of episode).

Cameos don't fix horrible writing and pacing, they focus way to much on gathering actors for roles rather than the material they get.
I loved the cheesyness of the episode. But at the same time, it makes you wonder if they know where they are going with the series. I do understand some episodes are "fillers" of course. But this was such a strange episode.
Only two episodes left this season and they decide to drop this hot turd of an episode after having that awesome closing scene with the damaged shuttle last episode. The way they settled on giving Bo the darksaber on a technicality was weak, weak writing. I wanted to see Din and Bo put into a position where they actually had to fight for it. Not a fan of this season at all bro.
I wonder why most reactor channels like this episode. Because of the actors?
In my opinion, this was the worst episode.
Din is no longer the main character and the meaning of Grogu in this series has been erased.
The only character that has a plot and purpose is Bo-Katan, but the way the story is told gets sometimes boring.
The first 2 episodes were very good
The pirate episode was ok
I would throw the rest in the trash
For me I just enjoy most Star Wars content, could it have been better ? 100%. But did I still enjoy it? Yea.
@@ItsAPrimatee I like Star Wars too, but a good story is the most important thing for me. Season 3 of mando doesn't have a good plot. Of the entire episode, only the last 5 minutes had any real impact on the plot. And once again, Bo-Katan is more important than Din.
Even if the series was made specifically to make us like her, because she will be killed in the end, she should not become the only character who has a real impact on the plot and she should not replace the main character.
The truth is that Din (the main character) could have left and nothing would have happened.
A lot of the reactors on YT focused on the actors and not the story and that's why I was very surprised.

I actually loathe all 3 cameos of this episode. And BDH did her best with this script cause man this is a weak one imo
Have you seen Rise of the planet of the apes
What was the point in giving Din Djarin the darksaber, the writing has not been it this season.
To give Bo Katan an arc where she'd either fought Din to get it back or earned it back in some other way. Either way it was always a set up to give her a bigger role this season.
They’re obviously setting up a romance They couldn’t make them fight to the death for it. Now we don’t know how this season will end. It could end in tragedy. Bo could die in Din’s arms and he gets it back or Gideon could get it. We don’t know how it’s gonna end.

What do *_you_* know 😠😡🙄😒?
it was a cool episode but it felt like a bit of a parody, didn't like that...
they kinda forced that cliche "magical kingdom" vibe in the episode and it was intencional, that's why it looked like a bit of a parody
even the giving the key to the city and the knighthood in the end of the successful quest screamed parody
they gave knighthood to a baby just for eating? really? nah didn't like it...
also hate the droid bar idea, droids are programmed to do something, who programmed them to waste time and go to a bar? only 1 droid there is doing what he was programmed for and it was the bartender droid, again with the droid rights shit...
in the end, this felt like a filler in a season of 8 episodes, again...
lastly, I didn't think the Darksaber was handled correctly, it must be won in combat and that creature didn't fight Din in combat, Din was captured out of an ambush, there was no combat, there for, the creature never had the claim of the Darksaber for Bo Katan to win it from it
however after thinking about it, I've come to the conclusion that the only way this makes sense is if Din is twisting the story a little bit on purpose, because Bo wasn't there when he was captured, so she couldn't have seen it, only he and Grogu were present
but then, Din is ok to no be faithfull to the lore of the Darksaber but follows the Creed with so much commitment
If you think that it's a waste of time to let the droids be able to have time to themselves instead of just sticking them into a box or recharging port, then you don't see them as people. What about R2-D2 and C-3PO and all the other Droid buddies that accompany the heroes in the Star Wars universe 🤨?

that doesn't mean I don't like them, I love them but they are what they are
if they got destroyed I would be sad, just like I was said when the Razor Crest was destroyed or if the Falcon was destroyed
I would be sad in that sense, but more obviously
That "Certain point of view" talk is the twisting of the story lol
Very bad episode
I absolutely did not like this episode at all I’m sorry
More Filler #TrashShow
I heard somewhere that *_there is no filler_* 🤨. It's all connected, whether you want to admit/accept it or not 😑.
@@erikolson4148 The whole season is filler, easily could have 16-20 episodes of good episodes and filler garbage, not 8
@@CadenTheGreatWesternEngine I, personally, enjoyed it as well as my family, thank you very much 🤨. I won't try to force you to change your opinion, but, could you please at least keep your negative thoughts to yourself 🤨😓?
@@erikolson4148 This season could use some Moff Gideon and the Empire and Mandos fighting against the Empire tho
Garbage episode
