Great Central Railway Winter Gala - 8 Locos in Steam!

The Great Central Railway's Winter Gala on Friday, 26th January 2024. Eight locos in steam plus the visiting NER Autocar. The following locos were seen in action on various combinations hauling passenger and freight/tanker trains. Locos as follows:

BR 4-6-0 Class 4MT number 75069 (visitor)
BR 4-6-0 Class 5MT number 73156
BR 4-6-0 Class 6959 number 6990 'Witherslack Hall'
BR 2-6-0 Class 2MT number 78018
BR 2-6-0 Class 2MT number 78019
NER Electric Autocar number 3170
The video was taken at Quorn & Woodhouse station and later in day from a field about half a mile south.
The GCR certainly know how to put on a gala - non-stop action. Well done to them!

Great video and lovely engines. never personally been to a Gala but as im a volunteer at the llangollen railway and theres one coming up my chance may have finally come
