    Hi, how to export 2FAS app from Samsung to IPhone? I didnt record my secret code when I first set up and I am facing problem exporting out to my new IPhone. Thanks.

    • @2FAS
      @2FAS  Před 2 lety +1

      Simply export a 2FAS backup file from Samsung and import it to your 2FAS app on iPhone - 2FAS backup file is compatible with both Android and iOS :)

    This looks like the best authenticator based on features, the only thing that I dislike is that it isn't open source.

      Thank you, we're happy to hear that. As for the open source, maybe in the future

      @@2FAS It's open-source now. But I heard of this 2FAS first time. that's why can't make decision. And I heard Authy will go end of life. So in a hunt for new authenticator.

    Didn't work for Android Google Authenticator. I have 10 codes to export and transfer. When I scan it with a 2nd phone, it doesn't read or detect the codes.
    What's the workaround.

      We've just double checked this and it work as intended. Please make sure you've updated both apps to the newest versions!

      @@2FAS It worked when I scanned over the Google codes one at a time versus trying to scan over all 10 Google codes at once 👍

      Unfortunately, it's not possible. We would love to have this option, but they don't allow it.

    how do i transfer my 2fas from one android device to 2fas on a new device

    • @2FAS
      @2FAS  Před rokem +2

      You should enable Google Drive backup on your current phone. Then log in to the same Google account on your new phone and also enable the backup. After that, the codes will be transfered.

    how do you move your tokens from 2FAS to Google Authenticator? I cannot find this information anywhere

    • @2FAS
      @2FAS  Před 4 měsíci +1

      You have to manually export the codes to a file (it will have a .2fas ending, but it's a .JSON file). After that, you have to import this file to another Authenticator, and all of your accounts will be transferred.

      @@2FASI exported it to a .2fas file but could not find a way to import it into Google Authenticator. Can you explain further?

    • @2FAS
      @2FAS  Před 4 měsíci

      Well, if Google Authenticator doesn't have the option to import a .JSON file, then you have 2 options.
      Export the file from our app (make sure it's not protected by a password) and open it with a notebook on your PC. You'll have all the secret keys there, and you'll be able to use them to enable 2FA in Google Auth.
      The second option involves more work. You have to disable 2FA manually on all the services you want to transfer and enable it with Google Auth.

    Can I thereafter delete the Google Authenticator? Now codes are appearing on both Authenticator apps and don't dare to delete the Google one just yet haha.

    • @2FAS
      @2FAS  Před 11 měsíci +2

      Well, if you've done everything right, then sure, you can delete it. But if you want to be sure, test everything with the codes generated by our app and then uninstall it. It will take a little but will save you a headache.
