I find the fact u cant aim blowdart up or down very distrubing
@@SuryaGupta-te7fq you probably can. That probably just some sort of lock-on.
That Alhamdulillah won million of hearts, for other world it's just a word but for middle east it's means a lot.

I love how Basim actually tells civilians to play along when using social stealth
It's probably scripted, only for the trailer. They've done the same exact thing in previous AC gameplay trailers, like AC4's

No, eivor did the same thing in Valhalla
@@AMT_AllMyThoughts well if i remember he would say some classic small talk or just "can I sit here?" But if its a voice line when you go into a group of people walking then idk ive never used those guys, but I do get what you mean and since its got a lot of stuff from valhalla they can probably reuse the code to be able to do that, so that's gonna be cool
@Sensei Shu yes u right always the trailers are extra I Remember game play with black flag they showed how Edward can interact with a.i while tailing it never made it to the end game
I think such things exist even during AC3
Actually agree with the bird not being allowed in certain zones, as it gives actual stealth situations with no intel
you got it right brotha
Isn't/wasn't this a thing already in Valhalla?
Synin, unlike Senu and Ikaros, does not automatically highlight targets, he only sees points of interest and treasure.
how does that matter if you can just teleport lol
The bird?
I really think they should revamp the teleportation ability to something more like a planned multi assassination where the character leaps on the first target and jumps to the next instead of teleporting. It really feels like this will break the immersion in some fights yet be necessary.
100%. Bring back the trained assassin helpers
The parkour system too seems to leach from Valhalla's hulking and charmless mechanics, a system that is straightforward which aims at easy navigation and learning while opting out unique depth.
Like Batman Arkham Knight mechanic
Literally could’ve been that easy this just shows how lazy Ubisoft if lol
@@oogway73 absolutely. There was a great sense of control when they had back and side ejects. The newer game controls are meant for idiots. It’s like driving a manual for years and then switch to automatic
One of my favorite ideas from this game is cutting out damage sponging. It always completely took me out of games. Weapons should be dangerous and consequential.
Yeah I noticed that. That may mean enemies will be able to kill you faster too.
@@crash10125 Good. That means the stealthy approach will be preferred for most scenarios and anybody who wants to get into combat has to either use it as a last resort or be really good at parrying and dodging. I liked Origins' combat system but level gating and large health bars got kinda annoying after a while.
I felt that when playing AC Unity, the game is a bit complicated because Arno is not a damage sponge
@thiagojt55
Syndicate was the worst offender of all the AC games. It was Unity but with punching which made it 10x worse.
They should also get rid of the HP bar, which is not compatible with this gameplay style..
It's not perfect, but hell, this is the closest thing to a true AC game we've seen in years! So thankful Ubisoft finally took a step in the right direction
Most people preffer RPG ACs, that's why Vallhalla had more sells than 80% of all the old ACs combined. Stop coping and accept facts. You're the loud minority.

Agree. After that trilogy they didn't add or learn anything at all but give us the old routine. I understand that they have bigger ac title coming up like Japan and I think they're going back with rpg with that lmao. Unity is 10x better than this honestly. Wish they crafted something more with parkour
I wish we could have a classic-gameplay trilogy with a character as good as Ezio and Desmond. I miss being actually engaged in the story and caring about what happens next.
Man those were the days. I remember beating ac1 and thinking okay wow that was good and getting HYPED for ac2 coming out just wow what a great time.

Эйвор как персонаж вообще неплох. Да и Кассандре глубины хватало. Что там такого было в Эцио?
The voice actor for the rosham character (can’t remember her name) is amazing in everything she does 🥲
Once again, no matter what, got to give huge props to the environment team for making yet another gorgeous recreation of a time period. They really never miss
Really can't be said for whoever thought having basim the reincarnation of loki teleporting around was a good idea

4:03 I love how Basim verbally tells them to "act as usual" cuz it makes a lot more sense than people just not questioning the random hooded guy who just came into their midst after brutally murdering 17 guards.
Yes plus the robes look normal since people wore stuff like that in that time And place not like a guy in Italy just casualy walking in white robes with a hood

It's like a mixture of origins and the old games. I like it.

That’s what I’m saying.

@@cristobalsoza7298I don’t think you’ve played the old games if you think this looks like a reskinned Valhalla lol
Everything about the location and the assassins creed hideout reminds me of AC 1 and I love it. AC1 had one of my favorite maps ever
The feather and everything too! They went back home with that one 👍
Even the voice acting and the mixture of music styles is very reminiscent of the first Assassin's Creed, which I enjoy.
Sands of time shhhhh
6:00 I love the ability but i think it'd be better if Basim could actually be seen moving just really fast instead of teleporting.
Something like the fear takedowns in Arkham Knight would be awesome
I think it has to do with the loki abilty, cause we all know he is like a loki reborn like eivor is a reborn of odin
Agreed
Since it can only be activated with stealth kills as it fills up with more stealth kills I am okay with it.
Either that, or they should go all out in embracing the simulation aspect and have more "Hacking the system" type mechanics
my biggest complaint is the teleportation during the chain assassination. Wish it was more akin to the Fear Takedowns from Arkham Knight, showing the actual character animation and movements rather than teleporting. Other than that this looks great
So lazy on their part... Killed the whole thing for me, not sure I'll even use it
Yeah, to have built the immersion up just to ruin it with this teleportation moment? Why is it even in the game? It doesn't synergize with the gameplay experience of "returning to the roots" at all.
My biggest complaint as well. I know Assassins Creed has fantasy elements in it, but its usually used as a plot device, not as a damn super power...
And the bs that his eagle got instantly sniped let alone attack like some plague
Absolutely agree
The fact this time your bird can get shot down is cool but is there really a marksman that went like: oh a bird let me shot it down! For no reason?
why not.. it's just good practice anyway
I used to be obsessed with ezio, Desmond, Connor, Edward and etc. Good old times 😅😂❤
Things I miss in modern AC games:
1. Actual history instead of myths
2. Using hidden blade in combat
3. The mini-map
4. Linear storylines
5. Assassins
Myths were cool but history is amazing
the last one is so true 🥲
I played more like an assassin in origins and odyssey than I did in unity 😂
@@eliadams3711 the game was designed not for stealth. If you actually went for that more than in Unity. You’re high on smt 💀

The thing i miss the most here is the flow of movement and parkour that we had in unity, the movement here is still the same heavy kind we've had in the last three games, it doesn't feel like the swift assassin movement i thought Basim would have...
Yep. Leaving the series forever due to that. No Unity parkour, no deal for me.
It’s still a work in progress, they might change up the parkour in the final release
@@HyperNovaMC The systems shown will have been finished already. Even when devs show "Work in progress" footage 99% of the time that is what will be in the game. Things that will change will be small things like some lighting effects, graphics etc. If it's coming out this year they don't have time to completely change the parkour system.
É só você voltar a jogar o unity.
I was looking for this comment. Looks so generic and clunky. Nothing cool about it.
Assassins creed 1+ prince of Persia +Assassins creed Origins = Assassins creed Mirage
I wish you the best in this project Ubisoft
Boy did I miss this atmosphere. Being able to run on buildings and just glide through the town. This is the first assassins creed I’ve been excited for since Origins
I miss valhal and origins :(
This is the first game I been excited about since black flag
Yeah, I hope they will keep up, even though Mirage is built on a joke of an engine (Valhalla one), meh parkour, janky animations, meh everything basically, just look at this kill from above, like what the hell camera doing. Hope they trash the fantasy stuff or make it seperate game and change the engine or just reuse Unity one with some tweaking.
@@fartgoggles I mean the interactiveness of AC1 and Ezio trilogy is good, but it feels very slow imo, Unity free run is good combination and looks and feels better, even tho not as interactive as AC1 and Ezio trilogy one, but I still have no idea why they ditched it right after, I mean imagine they tinkered it a bit all these years instead of downgrading AC as a whole.

Omgggg I love that this feels exactly like the original assassins creeds!!!! The blending in crowds, heat vision, sitting on benches etc. love it so much!
I love this return to their roots. I miss the assassin apprentices and the Unity parkour. But most of all, I miss feeling like an assassin learning the ways of the Creed and becoming a Grandmaster instead of some muscle-bound warrior who occasionally, when necessary, assassinates. If I only had to get one of those three things, and it looks like I do, then I think I'm going to get the one that matters most. I wonder if there'll be any weird out-of-Animus things, or if the focus of this game will just be pure AC the whole time.
???: Odin give me STRENGTH!!
Love the fact that escaping is so important. Loved how he planned his escape for that assassination mission.
Sadly, we don't really see how important it is. We don't see the consequences (if there even are any) of refusing the stealthy aproach
This was something in the older AC games they always talked about it tbh was never implemented in any game very well accept unity hopefully it’s better here
@@SD-kw2bn Has it really been implemented well in unity though? If stealth fails you don't need to run escape you can just kill every enemy in the area, even the smoke bombs are better used stunning enemies and preventing musket fire than actually running away.
Same as the Origins trailer. There is literally nothing new here.
@@gralmeidan the enemies were alot stronger and more strategically placed in unity. Especially during co-op missions so trying to have direct confrontations would result in death, many missions had you enter some sort of building as well and you there wasn’t always a obvious point of exit.
If only Ezio knew how to teleport, he could have saved his brother and father.
He doesnt teleport thats was the way for ubisoft to pass an image that Basim is so fast and agile that for the others it looks like he is teleporting but he doenst have powers.

*Like Basim talking to Enkido
*Basim talking to the crowds while blending
*Basim talking to himself during combat
I have seen many Ubisoft demos and these almost never stay in the final game.
Apart from the teleportation system which is just ridiculous, the game looks absolutely beautiful. The assasssinations seem well made, the atmosphere is just awesome. I love it ! Very immersive !
They tried to copy Arkham Knight but it should be just like it. There is no teleportation there.
Even though TLOU-Part 2 « looks absolutely beautiful» the story was horrible and the characters were lame and terrible.
They've really just copied Shadow of Mordor/War's teleport system, effects included.
The use of the eagle makes things way too easy. Once we know the direction to take, the challenge is gone.
We could use more social interaction with the npcs or interrogating the guards to obtain useful information.
Hidding/dragging the enemy corposes should be a thing by now! After all, that's one of the oldest tricks in the book for stealthy operations, way before gunpowder existed.
The "Teleportation" feels like the last Underworld movie! The "Ultra-Instinct" of vampiric abilities: Moving by Teleportation - Twilight Style, pretending to be Ninja.
It's really horrible because it resembles to SHINOBI main character's dash, from PLAYSTATION 2.
Even a last century's Benny Hill movie can make the fast-running more organic and visibily authentic! Not this ghost dash thing we see in this video.
What i think is ridiculous is jumping off a roman church into a hay bale and surviving but keep venting
You can see the Valhalla dna from the way Bassim runs to certain assassinations and parkour. Considering it was initially a Valhalla expansion, the improvements are noticeable.
The improve on the price will be too 😂😂
And a Valhalla font
@@DFC1154 it's $50.

which is awful^ there’s no gravity or momentum in basims parkour. this entire trailer, there was only 1 new thing to the franchise and it was the environmental smoke from pulling the cart/shelf thing down. that’s it. this is not a new assassins creed game, it’s an expansion. i’m actually disappointed
I live in baghdad (where the game is set) and it absolutely blown me of how much historically accurate the city looks.. its just like what we studied in our history books! And the round city that we used to see in maps can now be explored in this beautiful World.. i just hope they don’t over exaggerate some historical characters in this.. Truely excited
i feel like they are, I can already feel the sunni-shia split since the time of this game is around the time of "ali's followers". one of the NPCs even mentioned "alis followers" in the game 4:05 . I already feel a storm brewing
@@ibyghee7795 "Ali's followers" refers to Ali ibn Muhammad's followers, the leader of the Zanj Rebellion in 861 CE. Ali, cousin of the Prophet, passed away long before this time.

"Basim. Where is your hookblade?!"
Not a big fan of "teleporting" assasinations, but this is taking the right way. Now I hope that fighting multiple guards will be hard, as it is supposed to be, to incentive players to be discrete and run away when outnumbered.
Same. I just booted up Unity the other day, my first playthrough of a non-RPG AC in years, and was pleasantly surprised at how much of a threat 4+ guards could be. They overwhelmed me with consecutive attacks and bullets, as a crowd of enemies would 😅

Honestly I think they avoided showing any combat in the gameplay because it is just like the other games. I don't see them forcing us to take a stealth approach

Didnt ubisoft made Prince of Persia?
@panagiotist47 they did! I'm talking about how back in the early concept, Assassin's Creed was also a Prince of Persia game before being made its own IP
I think a good alternative to that teleport ability at 6:00 is the recruit assassins attack that you can do from brotherhood, and I honestly expected them to add something like that in this game as it would make a lot of sense, since this game is all about going back to the roots.
Recruiting assassins, sending them on missions and watching them level up in brotherhood was so much fun, they could change how it works from brotherhood, a little bit, to keep it fresh.
They can keep everything about that teleport ability other than him actually teleporting, like Basim locking on targets, and the visual effects when he locks on and stuff looks amazing, but instead of him teleporting let other assassins do the job.
@@welsh-cymru1588 I didn't play Valhalla nor do I know much about Norse mythology, so you are probably right, but am I wrong when I say having your recruits support you in your missions is way cooler than just teleporting to a guard and killing them? I don't really care much about realism but some would argue that the recruit attack is much more realistic.
Also, I don't think anyone is complaining about the teleport attack not making sense with respect to the previous games or the Norse mythology, it's simply because the ones complaining (myself included) just want an ac game like the older ones, were there wasn't too much fantasy or mythology themed concepts affecting the gameplay
He could literally have him throw 2 knives while jumping then follow up with hidden blade and still make it a triple assassination without teleporting.
Same thoughts. One of the reasons why AC Brotherhood is my favorite AC.
The thing is you're not a master assassin nor a mentor you're like altair in AC1 in this game working alone.
Like others have said. I think the parkour is a step in the right direction from the previous 3 titles (especially Valhalla) but i think it needs that swiftness and ease that unity had.

It just pulls at my heart. Some of the best assassins games where the beginning. Yes it was repetitive but they did it so well for what they could back then. I also wonder how they will do the "current" story as well. I like Desmond's the most. The way your hawk can be attacked is a great thought. I'm surprised it wasn't done before. I'm also sooo glad that blending has made a comeback. Might have been small but the conversations you hear can sometimes be interesting.
I just hope the map is very big. I saw horse and boat in that trailer so hopefully it is
not much ezio stuff, maybe ac1 and origins mix
I agree! For the first time since Syndicate I’m interested thoroughly on getting this game . AC is back 🔥
The stealth mechanics actually seem exciting to try. I like how there are contracts where you are not allowed to kill any enemy aside from the target too. That really puts some emphasis on being a low key assassin instead of a ruthless serial killer in the previous games.
And it won't just be those 5 contracts either. That board will constantly get more and more full as you progress
Ruthless serial killer😂 I would be the one killing everybody in sight just cuz I could 😂
But I liked being an overpowered ruthless serial killer in previous games 😔

@@Ayto27 Replay them and wait for Red because it's being made in the same style by the same studio as Odyssey. Hexe will be something new. Mirage is trying to return to the OG style (actually a mixture of AC1 and Valhalla).
Mirage is a love letter to the original Assassin's Creed games, and I love that. Nothing wrong with he newer ones, but it's nice to see them still honor the original formula that made the series so popular in the first place. Look forward to playing it!
LOVED the new additions! would appreciate if more wor were to be put into the guards reactions and interactions between one another
I really miss the part when Altaïr and Ezio teleporting kills 3 guys in a row. This game is truly going back to its square roots.
It's not copying the old games. It's looking at them for inspiration, which can be seen gameplaywise through this entire video. Basim isn't teleporting, as he can't do that. It's a mere hack/glitch in the Animus. Like Evies cloak or Arnos ability to morph into civilians/gaurds.
😂
They could have at least made the animation like batmans fear takedown
They'd better go back in time and eliminate the developers of this boring franchise, so it would never appear.
what an idiotic thing to say.
If you want AC1 or any of the Ezio trilogy games, just play those. It's literally that simple. This
other than that weird teleportation assassinations, this looks awesome. No weird superpower like in odyssey and valhalla. And it looks like that combat really is a last resort.

Shohreh Aghdashloo is literally everywhere, The Expanse, Mass Effect now even Assassin's Creed.

From the atmosphere to the music it is a job well done! I love the interactions Basim has with the environment. Even the people act oddly and play along when Basim blends in a group. I wonder if those reactions change based on notoriety.

Dude what a stupid complaint, you dont run like your superman when your parkouring a bunch of ledges.
They made it realistic
@@gamerd8709 6:00 So this is realistic then?
The hype is real with this one
I think the teleport thingy was pretty unnecesary. If they really want to have something that helps you assassinate various enemies in fast succesion, then they could make something of a "buff" to the movement, like moving faster, jumping further away (the parkour system still needs to be worked on nonetheless) & the enemies moving/reacting slightly slower for a short time; A good justification for this prolly could be the effects of some kind of drug or spices. That way you could manage your way of going around and being quick without breaking the immersion and realism so much.
Did you play AC Valhalla? If not then don't read this. Spoiler, Basim is a reincarnation of Loki and he went to animus this time instead of Layla. Loki do have teleportation ability and it make perfect sense to include it in the game.

You do realize in the second game the final boss fight literally has you fighting clones of a templar. AC has always had sci-fi relations in its story and gameplay. At least now we're actually assassins and not a no fall-damage taking demigod who has no relation to the Creed.

@@classicpanthur9649 Exactly and this game is supposed to be a predecessor to AC1. I'm just glad the abilities are more rooted to Assassination instead of combat. Combat in the old AC's was always seen as a last resort and I'm glad its going back to that standard.
@@shawnjones1877 Knowing ubisoft, this potentially could be the last game they apply the old roots of assassins creed before reverting to a rpg money dumping route
As much as I love them going back to the roots of the series, the parkour looks like it has been heavily simplified, not in the best way. The city structure is great and allows for interesting traversal, but the animations and number of moves seem a little limited. It's a shame they didn't incorporate some animations from Unity's parkour system. Still solid though
Yeah the parkour seems like it’s magnetized
Surely they know unity has the best parkour so why couldn’t they just use that?
it comes from Valhalla this is why
The graphics looks pretty bad for a 2023 AAA lol
Unity had the biggest potential imo with the parkour, the animations, the city. The parkour engine was the thing lacking, it wasnt constant in the slightest, one jump could be a world record 5 meter jump and sometimes Arno cant jump 1 meter
Unpopular take: I actually like the teleporting ability. It's a nice gimmick to have and it ain't different at all from the RPG abilities. TBH it kind of makes me even more immersed, since it feels like Basim is so fast, quiet and delicate that nobody can even see him.
First and foremost, I am happy that Mirage is bringing some of the original Assassin's Creed gameplay and combat. It truly feels like an Assassin's game and not some mythical Valhalla bullshit (I'm not here to spark a debate. I'm an old school AC fan, and I don't like the modern games after Unity - that's just my opinion)
Having said that, what my heart still craves for is the verticality of the world design that older Assassin's Creed games nailed perfectly - 1, 2, all the way till Unity.
The vertical game design with tall buildings, climbable statues, towers, etc. is what breathed life into Assassin's Creed's parkour!. Without the 4-5 storyey buildings prevalent every 100m, one never truly feels the eagle-eyed magnanimity of the game!
I know that Baghdad as a city is not vertical by nature, but, I sincerely hope that Ubisoft creates a current gen AC game similar to Unity (which had the best combat and parkour in an AC game)
The satisfaction and elevated experience you get by climbing atop a viewpoint every 50-100m is a big part of what made AC a spectacular gaming experience!
As a die hard fan, I want that experience back!
i appreciate that they are returning to the original AC style that players love about the series apart from the teleportation
I hope they don’t keep the level system in. I hated when that was introduced during the past 3 games. I’m fine with the teleportation stuff because it’s still a “simulation”. Definitely excited

At this point even if its buggy, I'm still gonna play the hell out of this if it's really like this

How? I‘m so excited for this game, but the movement is so much closer to AC 2007 then Unity.
@@vSoulreaver glad someone else sees it... unity had the best parkour system and it looks like they just ditched it. this game reeks of the RPG elements (animations, health bar) but they're trying to coat it with a nostalgia factor
It looks good but the parkour should look smoother imo and he should be running faster
this game is stunning, i can't wait for it to release
The urge to run up the side wall and side eject in the first parkour scene is irresistible and hard to get over but I see they have put so much work into other areas of the game and added many interactive parkour environments. So I'm definitely excited to try that out!
for sure, the environments, density, and numerous parkour pathways somewhat makes up for not being able to manually eject but still missing that option
@@thenegusayo
Yes if there is enough of those environments it would be acceptable. but it would still lack freedom and self-expression embraced by many of the classic fans, which manifested itself through the catch ledge and ejects.
But again this was made based on Valhalla engine so I can't really complain. It turned out better than I expected.
What do u mean I am so sad at the parkour did u see the strides and over all it's just slow and not at all smooth
r u Ahmed Mohsen's brother??
I get the pain, man. Everything else genuinely looks decent but it seems like movement isn't getting the long desired functionality back. The level design is genuinely nice, but even the best level design can make up only 50% of good parkour. Still, it's indeed exciting
Feels like a mix of Origins + AC1 and the parkour of AC2.
Picking the best of the franchise and making the ultimate experience. I love the Middle Eastern setting, that's were the games began running through marketplaces and then escaping on rooftops.
I wish they weave in more Assassin lore and more about about the brotherhood and how it will link to Altair's timeline.

I think this is a good step in the right direction for Ubisoft. We have already seen Basim, and they set his story up great in the trailer. We've all wanted an Assassin's Creed game WITH AN ACTUAL ASSASSIN. They've done a good job with the stealth, and added in the tool wheel for it again. We didn't get to see what the combat is like much from this gameplay, but I have confidence that Ubisoft will fix that when the time comes too. It would also be cool to see Altair's mentor because this is only 90 years before AC 1 took place.
Also I forgot to mention that we have BOTH eagle sense abilities. Basim must have something weird going on to have both
@@gusblack1508I think probably because everyone like the the literal eagle vision because it was so cool and somewhat practical.
