0:36 Very long match!
0:49 Dramatic! Pushing match? Scary moment!
1:00 Arsenal Vs Chelsea was going to be a hard-fought match!
1:21 In the 20th minute a Ramirez goal was called off due to a handball! VAR in this Match!
1:53 A lot of close calls! Lotte and Katie both came close! Also a Katie handball?!
2:10 Lauren James had the ball a lot. She came sooooo close in the 85th min! That could have been the game-winner!!!! Emma wasn't happy lol
2:56 95th min Maanum went down. We will talk about that more later!
3:29 Overtime! A few players came close but STINA CAME THROUGH!!! She didn't fall down on this goal lol awesome!
4:10 Great to see Arsenal with a trophy this year
4:21 Fireworks after the game!! This got interesting. Emma PUSHES Jonas!!!!
5:00 Jonas' face was like WTH, his face was funny... (It sounds like I said old lady but I did not! Not sure why it sounds so much like that)
5:22 At the presser after the match Emma Explained why she was mad.
5:50 It was due to male aggression. Jonas yelling at Erin Cuthbert
6:03 they both decided to use one ball but Erin Grabbed a new ball and Jonas was upset
6:33 More from the article - Emma was mad
6:57 Jonas hits back. Says Chelsea didn't play by the rules
7:26 I play the video where Erin and Jonas had their shouting match.
8:00 I understand his frustration. Did Erin square up first? I don't think he should have been yelling
8:23 Emma wanted to make sure he knew that was not appropriate
8:48 Sarah thinks he went a little over the top but understandable
9:22 Those are important seconds.
9:35 Comments from Twitter saying Emma was in the wrong.
10:08 Emma had a point though
10:32 Comment from Twitter about Jonas' recurring anger
11:00 Unsightly for an opposing coach to yell at the other team. Emma was just defending her players
11:20 We are team Emma only cause she has to shape up the USWNT lol
11:40 Emma's poor sub choices lost the match?
12:24 Frida Maanum update. So scary when players go down. Esp off ball
12:52 We read from an article! She didn't have to go to the hospital!
13:45 She is the 4th Footballer to COLLAPSE LIVE ON TV IN THE LAST MONTH!
14:00 Soccer players are so intense on the body!
14:33 UPDATE. We didn't address something about Korbin Albert's "likes" in the last video. We wanted to make sure we mentioned this aspect
15:07 We read a comment about something that Megan Rapinoe said
15:25 That meme was produced because of a comment Pinoe made about God
16:00 Did Megan "start" it? (NO lol)
16:10 To target it at someone is wrong.
16:30 I still feel the same way about it. However, I did want to point it out
16:50 She is 20 years old. I just hope she learns from what she did.
17:13 This could be a good thing to happen to her. She doesn't have to change all her beliefs but to know her words are powerful and they can hurt people. People who have been hurt so much
17:37 Megan mocked God. Then Korbin retaliated. I don't agree with it but it's one side of the story.
18:00 Recap.
18:25 My fave part was Jonas' face lol
18:40 Pinoe/Korbin situation more context is good. We still don't agree!
No male aggression detected. Attempting to include a second ball after agreeing to include only one is technically cheating. Nothing wrong with enforcing pre-approved game rules. It’s wrong to push, shove, scold, intimidate, and explain, rather than accept responsibility for “forgetting” the pre-approved game rule.
Jonas might have been on the wrong but Emma overreacted. Why did she push him away? She could have just faced him directly and confronted him on why what he did was wrong. I'm wondering if it was the other way round-like Jonas pushing Emma after the final whistle to show his frustrations? It would be a completely different story altogether. Anyway I think Emma was mad because on top of the issue she talks of, Chelsea lost and that escalated her emotions.
well said !!!! Hayes is a bad loser ! and she did a FEMALE AGGRESSION .....
Cuthbert seems more aggressive towards JE, I hadn't seen that footage before. How can EH claim moral high ground when she pushed someone she wants people to believe was aggressive
the first thing she said on the subject was 'we have to role model' - slight lack of self-awareness there Emma?
EMMA HAYES is the *new role model* for players !!!!! obviously for Lauren James who is often cheating !
And Korbin’s age doesn’t give her an excuse…
So, "defending her player" means it's fine to physically be aggressive? Sorry, you're on the wrong side on this one. I've seen most coaches yelling during a game due to rules, and that's what officials are there for. They can, and do, hand out cards to managers. But if this was reversed, and Jonas had pushed Emma, he'd be raked over the coals. Emma acted disgracefully, and it's changed my opinion on her.
Emma Hayes has gone down a lot in my estimation over the last couple of weeks. First the inappropriate comment about player-player relationships in the same team and now this. Playing the male aggression card is pretty despicable, particularly as she was the one who got physically aggressive by pushing Eidevall after the final whistle. Eidevall is no saint, he does have a history of getting over-animated on the touchline and should be punished by the officials for it (he did get a yellow card for his antics) but he was dignified in his response to both the shove (by not trying to throw Hayes under the bus for it) and the disgraceful male aggression comment. Hayes should apologize but I doubt she will, she seems a bit too far up her own backside these days. Imagine the furore there would be if Eidevall had pushed Hayes rather than the other way around.
Emma was totally in the wrong, she's held a grudge against Jonas since criticising him for over celebrating victory, since then she's acted very surly towards the gentle Swede, the incidents are quite clear, Cuthbert approached him aggressively when getting the ball, and Emma shoved the guy instead of the usual handshake, bad loser, then disgracefully doubled down with the male aggression comment, knowing the consequences, the other way around Jonas would never manage in womens football again.
Jonas is yelling at Emma, not Erin, look at where he's looking. He turns toward Erin when she comes at him.
I think his behavior is strong but fine and Emma is in the wrong.
Agreed
If you look more at the closer-up view it's clear that Jonas is screaming at Emma not Erin before Erin squared up to him and he just didn't back down and stood his ground by not walking away. Maybe he should have walked away when Erin squared up but in that incident, Emma is at fault. But also it has been proven by the 4th official in previous "incidents" such as the city game that what he was accused of wasn't accurate. Emma is trying to find an excuse for herself by using sexism which is wrong. The fact she isn't being punished for it when if it was in the men's game or a man doing it they would is in my opinion ridiculous of the FA.
Jonas didn't get a yellow card for the incident with Erin cuthbert he got it for celebrating the goal,so for Hayes to infer he got the card for thei incident with cuthbert is just wrong ,if Jonas had shoved Hayes there would be an uproar
Pause the video at 4:30 and look at the right side of the screen. Something is already going on there and it looks as if the man in a red shirt with a sleeveless black puffer jacket was kinda holding her while she was trying to plough right through him.
Anyway this is a really bad look on not just Emma, but it will rub off on other female players and coaches and the media will spin the narrative that women are just too emotional to compete in sports and then misogynists will eat it up, because it serves their narrative. Celebrity women and girls (that includes sports also, not just the entertainment industry) have to understand that whatever they do will not only be filmed and go viral, but *always* ends up being used as means to shove everyone, who is falls into the category of what society consideres to be female or feminine, into a box of stereotypes and for backwards men to make broad arguments that are not based on science to justify discrimination, oppression, financial (lower wages, ) and physical harm of women and girls.
Emma tried to play mind games with wanting one ball, to get the advantage. I believe she got in the minds of the players with Sock gates. The game back fired on her. Jonas may have been yelling but he did not put his hands on anyone.
Arsenal said today they haven't found a cardiac issue with tests on Maanum, will continue to monitor her. still a mystery what casued her to pass out
Dehydration can cause this problem. Any alcohol the day before would contribute to this.
Sad. Wish her speedy recovery and hope its not that bad
Wishing frida a speedy recovery
Well done, Arsenal, and a speedy recovery for frida magnum
The rest is handbags
Well said 👏🏻
I haven't watched the match, but listened to podcast commentaries on the match.
t was very important that VAR was used in this final.
If you watch the scene with Erin Cuthbert, you could see that Jonas was more in a discussion with the match officials, before he briefly interacted with Cuthbert.
It is a professional match with high stakes. It was also probably Arsenal's only chance to win a title this season. I don't know what he said to Cuthbert, probably that she has to play according to the rules. It was a little aggressive, but understandable considering what's at stake. To call it "male aggression" was a little over the top from Emma Hayes. I also think that the shove was also a little bit out of frustration that Chelsea would able to make the quadrouple title (championship, Champions League, FA-cup and Conti cup), which only Arsenal was able to do in 2007.
Emma Hayes definitely made substitution errors which helped Arsenal win.
I agree that Korbin Albert is only 20 years old. I hope she learned from her behaviour and will do better in the future.
Worth mentioning that Arsenal wanted multiple ball availability but Emma insisted on singe ball. Then Chelsea tried to grab a different ball so Jonas went mad. No winners in that one. Thankfully Frida is ok.
Jonas was making sure his team didnt get shafted yet again chelsea wanted a one ball system cant change the rules when it suits you he waa shouting at the 4th official not eh or ec thats his job as for eh and he male aggression statement the only people who were aggressive where women thats a very dangerous statement to be throwing around thank god for jonas and his family that the video shows other than stepping outside his box what he got carded for he did nothing wrong cause those kind of statements could have finished him
Good luck to team usa pleased she's taking her toxicity out of the wsl
I wouldn't tangle with Erin or Emma after they'd just lost a game. glad Frida seems to be ok now, hopefully she'll be back to normal after a rest in the international break
Did you see how long he was out of the box yelling and screaming before an official turned to him? Going after players is not ok ever.
Keep telling yourself the lies. He was screaming while facing the 4th official
James should definitely have passed more instead of taking shots from bad angles
it was called a hand ball because it WAS a hand ball
Chelsea tried to break the rule they wanted to use and when challenged about it they get all stupid! Who was is the agressor??? JE wasn't yelling at the player but at the situation towards the fourth official if anything. They got called out for cheating and didn't like it. Role reversed JE would of been crucified.
The way Emma acted was disgraceful. She has always been a poor loser, but people never realise because Chelsea do not lose often. If it was the other way round and Jonas pushed her, he would be out of a job before the coach even returned to London.
Now it makes sense why James conducts herself in the manner she does.
If they agree one ball and try to get a second ball surely they should reprimanded in some way. Yes Jonas could have reacted slightly differently but in the heat of game and one ball wasn't his decision, they carnt change the rules to suit their game at that moment. Emma waited then came across and shoulder barged him, this was not in the heat of the moment, she actual waited till end, this was a premeditated agressive assulted and should not be tolerated, a massive disservice to Female football and her team who now have been side lined and over shadowed by her actions. She definitely needs reprimanding for her Female aggression. I think she realised her one ball decision most likely cost them the match.
It's a hard one. You can't say either way unless you were on the pitch.
They're both as bad as each other. Jonas was wrong to get agro with Erin and Emma shouldn't have put hands on Jonas. It's embarrassing and not what we should be talking about after a final. I hope Frida is ok and the match was exciting and as a neutral that was great to see.
10:04 gaslighting! good word
this is the norm in this pathetic world of today ,no one has a spine
emma hayes has more toxicity than anyone !!!!!! gobby so and so
I doubt he would ha e got a card if he had stayed within his box. IF what he said was right re the ball i dont blame him for getting agitated, but not having different camera views and no audio its difficult to be definitive. Emma woukd have been in a better position to complain about his aggression if she was cool and non aggressive in response I was so so tense during this match as i really wanted both to win, or at least didnt want either of them to lose. Having said that i saw a few calculated fouls by Chelsea, which dissapoi ted me
Emma Hayes’ team lost and shouldn’t have acted the way she did. Arsenal was just lucky that day. This kind of game brings out either the best or worst of the coaches’ character.
Water under bridge about Jonas vs Emma
Here's totally wrong! Tell the 4th official or cuss the linesman not the player. In a premier league game he would of been red carded.
Gotta remember 3 uof our matildas helped get that goal!!! Now matildas in USA playing Mexico in a friendly internet gone crazy over Caitlyn Foord missing conspiracy theories Katiee McCabe got her Reusha kidnapped her in Dungeon in Ireland Emma Hayes got her because of player relationship!!!! No she found alive okay in America with team mates haha sent internet crazy!!! Take care
Emma just used words anyhow, she's not smart and she can't win all the time
he got a yellow card for celebrating on the pitch. not for yelling which is normal
OH!! thank you!! I looked in the game log on google and it didn't show it! That article was rubbish lol It also made It sound like Emma was the coach of Arsenal lol. Thanks for the info!!
as a neutral, I have tried not to take sides on the Jonas-Emma incident and what led up to it but I really think both sides are in the wrong. Chelsea agreed to a one ball system and they appeared to renege on that agreement but Jonas shouldn't have acted like the giant man-baby he is. Tbh the match itself wasn't that memorable so it is fitting that this incident is what it will be remembered for going forward. 😆😂🤣
Spot on 😂
Ah yes, context, ifTHAT MEME was a response to Rapinoes comment re God deffo not existing i am far less offended by it. It reads as "as if" rather than hurt the gays
A so-called christian god would retaliate against a soccer player, right? And then ask to be liked in a meme? Hmmm, that's a compelling way to influence a world to become holy. Fer shure, go on, please.
@nancyalstrand8548 sorry, I didn't put the whole thing Rapinoe said. She referred to her being injured for the last game she played as being proof that God didn't exist. I think, after hearing that, the meme with God landing in a plane was meant to mean, as if God would bother to target you.

Preface to that I'm a Chelsea fan....feaux sexism sets everyone back and is a part of 3rd wave feminism that hurts people getting further as a GROUP TOGETHER WHERE WE NEED TO BE! STUPID! I love Emma but she blew this one!
Hello Sara and Sarah. Must have been the winning socks this time?
From above, the Arsenal manager looked like a villain from a kids musical, twirling around.
Emma reminded me of a typical British mum, similar to a scene from the last Harry Potter film, "Get away from my kids!"
You would think twice about upsetting Erin. I was here reminded about a comment I made after the World Cup final about kisses from a city on the Clyde.
Well, the Americans are welcome to this typical British mum! Chelsea will become the premier team in Europe under Sonia Bompastor.
I don't think I'd call it male aggression but I would call it Jonas aggression. This is not the first time I've watched a match where Jonas yelled at oppositional players. Saw it happen at a Liverpool match (Seen him yell at officials, tho that seems more commonplace among managers). Although we will never know, I'd be curious to hear other manager's take on his behavior or experiences with him. But, let's not be SO quick to villainize Emma Hayes here, call her actions "gaslighting" which I've seen many doing online, b/c in a world that all is ALL to quick to not believe women I am more apt to take a breathe esp when not knowing the full picture when women feel a man has been threatening or too aggressive.
I ALSO think as women & gay women we should & would be understanding of a woman's quick judgement in labeling a man's "aggression" in her eyes as "male aggression". Haven't all women experienced such ire from cis dudes? I know I have. It's not like we're Lesbian Separatists for the fun of it! And if this is a pattern with him, then Emma's comments don't feel too off base or extreme to me. There is always a story behind the story that we as fans & viewers do not see.
Lots of assumptions on your part there about everyone who watches and comments on these videos. 😄I think it's complete hubris to equate verbal aggression from managers to officials and players to unacceptable and toxic male behavior, which sadly so many (but not all) women have to put up with.
I think Hayes making such a false accusation is actually potentially damaging, as it encourages cry wolf reactions to genuine cases of male aggression. Hayes' comments weren't a quick judgement at all, they were well made well after the end of the match. They seem to me to have been a calculated attempt to weaponize Eidevall's gender against him (rare that it's this way around but it does happen), probably partly in response to the agony of a late defeat and partly from her annoyance at his continual remonstrating from the touchline. Sour grapes with a bitter aftertaste.
What I saw was Emma pushing him away from a "hug". She shook his hands but did not want any prolonged contact so she pushed him away. You can see his left hand move from around her as they parted.
Stop lying. She pushed him away leaving Jonas bewildered. And that is why its blew up and became another story altogether
You might have seen that but I don’t think anyone else did
😂😂😂 Why would he attempt to hug her. What was the ceremony? Stop this already! What is bad is bad. No coverup
what an annoying voice no thanks
The trouble is…Jonas was one of the in-studio pundits during England’s Euros, and he came over as passionate, knowledgeable, and such a nice guy, that it’s hard to think of him as being your stereotypical ‘aggressive male’ ?!
I think it’s safe to say that (whilst respecting her enormously) not everyone loves Emma, but ANY and ALL Lioness supporters love Jonas!
Gareth Taylor had a whinge about Jonas too, but we just thought maybe he should grow a pair? 🩵😂.
Seems to me and most people that Jonas was right to be hugely aggrieved, after giving into Emma’s preference to just use the one ball, then have Cuthbert call for an extra ball right at the end? Not male aggression…i don’t think (and honestly, i’d be on him if i truly thought it was), just Jonas being passionate and Emma being a sore loser….
