    0:00 - 0:30 2024 Conti-Cup winners are Arsenal! 2nd year in a row!
    0:36 Very long match!
0:49 Dramatic! Pushing match? Scary moment!
1:00 Arsenal Vs Chelsea was going to be a hard-fought match!
1:21 In the 20th minute a Ramirez goal was called off due to a handball! VAR in this Match!
1:53 A lot of close calls! Lotte and Katie both came close! Also a Katie handball?!
2:10 Lauren James had the ball a lot. She came sooooo close in the 85th min! That could have been the game-winner!!!! Emma wasn't happy lol
2:56 95th min Maanum went down. We will talk about that more later!
3:29 Overtime! A few players came close but STINA CAME THROUGH!!! She didn't fall down on this goal lol awesome!
4:10 Great to see Arsenal with a trophy this year
4:21 Fireworks after the game!! This got interesting. Emma PUSHES Jonas!!!!
5:00 Jonas' face was like WTH, his face was funny... (It sounds like I said old lady but I did not! Not sure why it sounds so much like that)
5:22 At the presser after the match Emma Explained why she was mad.
5:50 It was due to male aggression. Jonas yelling at Erin Cuthbert
6:03 they both decided to use one ball but Erin Grabbed a new ball and Jonas was upset
6:33 More from the article - Emma was mad
6:57 Jonas hits back. Says Chelsea didn't play by the rules
7:26 I play the video where Erin and Jonas had their shouting match.
8:00 I understand his frustration. Did Erin square up first? I don't think he should have been yelling
8:23 Emma wanted to make sure he knew that was not appropriate
8:48 Sarah thinks he went a little over the top but understandable
    9:22 Those are important seconds.
9:35 Comments from Twitter saying Emma was in the wrong.
10:08 Emma had a point though
10:32 Comment from Twitter about Jonas' recurring anger
11:00 Unsightly for an opposing coach to yell at the other team. Emma was just defending her players
11:20 We are team Emma only cause she has to shape up the USWNT lol
11:40 Emma's poor sub choices lost the match?
12:24 Frida Maanum update. So scary when players go down. Esp off ball
12:52 We read from an article! She didn't have to go to the hospital!
13:45 She is the 4th Footballer to COLLAPSE LIVE ON TV IN THE LAST MONTH!
14:00 Soccer players are so intense on the body!
14:33 UPDATE. We didn't address something about Korbin Albert's "likes" in the last video. We wanted to make sure we mentioned this aspect
15:07 We read a comment about something that Megan Rapinoe said
15:25 That meme was produced because of a comment Pinoe made about God
16:00 Did Megan "start" it? (NO lol)
16:10 To target it at someone is wrong.
16:30 I still feel the same way about it. However, I did want to point it out
16:50 She is 20 years old. I just hope she learns from what she did.
17:13 This could be a good thing to happen to her. She doesn't have to change all her beliefs but to know her words are powerful and they can hurt people. People who have been hurt so much
17:37 Megan mocked God. Then Korbin retaliated. I don't agree with it but it's one side of the story.
    18:00 Recap.
18:25 My fave part was Jonas' face lol
18:40 Pinoe/Korbin situation more context is good. We still don't agree!

No male aggression detected. Attempting to include a second ball after agreeing to include only one is technically cheating. Nothing wrong with enforcing pre-approved game rules. It’s wrong to push, shove, scold, intimidate, and explain, rather than accept responsibility for “forgetting” the pre-approved game rule.

Jonas might have been on the wrong but Emma overreacted. Why did she push him away? She could have just faced him directly and confronted him on why what he did was wrong. I'm wondering if it was the other way round-like Jonas pushing Emma after the final whistle to show his frustrations? It would be a completely different story altogether. Anyway I think Emma was mad because on top of the issue she talks of, Chelsea lost and that escalated her emotions.

So, "defending her player" means it's fine to physically be aggressive? Sorry, you're on the wrong side on this one. I've seen most coaches yelling during a game due to rules, and that's what officials are there for. They can, and do, hand out cards to managers. But if this was reversed, and Jonas had pushed Emma, he'd be raked over the coals. Emma acted disgracefully, and it's changed my opinion on her.

Emma Hayes has gone down a lot in my estimation over the last couple of weeks. First the inappropriate comment about player-player relationships in the same team and now this. Playing the male aggression card is pretty despicable, particularly as she was the one who got physically aggressive by pushing Eidevall after the final whistle. Eidevall is no saint, he does have a history of getting over-animated on the touchline and should be punished by the officials for it (he did get a yellow card for his antics) but he was dignified in his response to both the shove (by not trying to throw Hayes under the bus for it) and the disgraceful male aggression comment. Hayes should apologize but I doubt she will, she seems a bit too far up her own backside these days. Imagine the furore there would be if Eidevall had pushed Hayes rather than the other way around.

Emma was totally in the wrong, she's held a grudge against Jonas since criticising him for over celebrating victory, since then she's acted very surly towards the gentle Swede, the incidents are quite clear, Cuthbert approached him aggressively when getting the ball, and Emma shoved the guy instead of the usual handshake, bad loser, then disgracefully doubled down with the male aggression comment, knowing the consequences, the other way around Jonas would never manage in womens football again.

If you look more at the closer-up view it's clear that Jonas is screaming at Emma not Erin before Erin squared up to him and he just didn't back down and stood his ground by not walking away. Maybe he should have walked away when Erin squared up but in that incident, Emma is at fault. But also it has been proven by the 4th official in previous "incidents" such as the city game that what he was accused of wasn't accurate. Emma is trying to find an excuse for herself by using sexism which is wrong. The fact she isn't being punished for it when if it was in the men's game or a man doing it they would is in my opinion ridiculous of the FA.

Pause the video at 4:30 and look at the right side of the screen. Something is already going on there and it looks as if the man in a red shirt with a sleeveless black puffer jacket was kinda holding her while she was trying to plough right through him.
Anyway this is a really bad look on not just Emma, but it will rub off on other female players and coaches and the media will spin the narrative that women are just too emotional to compete in sports and then misogynists will eat it up, because it serves their narrative. Celebrity women and girls (that includes sports also, not just the entertainment industry) have to understand that whatever they do will not only be filmed and go viral, but *always* ends up being used as means to shove everyone, who is falls into the category of what society consideres to be female or feminine, into a box of stereotypes and for backwards men to make broad arguments that are not based on science to justify discrimination, oppression, financial (lower wages, ) and physical harm of women and girls.

I haven't watched the match, but listened to podcast commentaries on the match.
t was very important that VAR was used in this final.
If you watch the scene with Erin Cuthbert, you could see that Jonas was more in a discussion with the match officials, before he briefly interacted with Cuthbert.
It is a professional match with high stakes. It was also probably Arsenal's only chance to win a title this season. I don't know what he said to Cuthbert, probably that she has to play according to the rules. It was a little aggressive, but understandable considering what's at stake. To call it "male aggression" was a little over the top from Emma Hayes. I also think that the shove was also a little bit out of frustration that Chelsea would able to make the quadrouple title (championship, Champions League, FA-cup and Conti cup), which only Arsenal was able to do in 2007.
Emma Hayes definitely made substitution errors which helped Arsenal win.
I agree that Korbin Albert is only 20 years old. I hope she learned from her behaviour and will do better in the future.

If they agree one ball and try to get a second ball surely they should reprimanded in some way. Yes Jonas could have reacted slightly differently but in the heat of game and one ball wasn't his decision, they carnt change the rules to suit their game at that moment. Emma waited then came across and shoulder barged him, this was not in the heat of the moment, she actual waited till end, this was a premeditated agressive assulted and should not be tolerated, a massive disservice to Female football and her team who now have been side lined and over shadowed by her actions. She definitely needs reprimanding for her Female aggression. I think she realised her one ball decision most likely cost them the match.

Chelsea agreed to a one ball system and they appeared to renege on that agreement but Jonas shouldn't have acted like the giant man-baby he is. I don't think I'd call it male aggression but I would call it Jonas aggression. This is not the first time I've watched a match where Jonas yelled at oppositional players. Saw it happen at a Liverpool match (Seen him yell at officials, tho that seems more commonplace among managers). Although we will never know, I'd be curious to hear other manager's take on his behavior or experiences with him. But, let's not be SO quick to villainize Emma Hayes here, call her actions "gaslighting" which I've seen many doing online, b/c in a world that all is ALL to quick to not believe women I am more apt to take a breathe esp when not knowing the full picture when women feel a man has been threatening or too aggressive.
I ALSO think as women & gay women we should & would be understanding of a woman's quick judgement in labeling a man's "aggression" in her eyes as "male aggression". Haven't all women experienced such ire from cis dudes? I know I have. It's not like we're Lesbian Separatists for the fun of it! And if this is a pattern with him, then Emma's comments don't feel too off base or extreme to me. There is always a story behind the story that we as fans & viewers do not see.

    • @Footielad560
      @Footielad560 Před měsícem +2

Lots of assumptions on your part there about everyone who watches and comments on these videos. 😄I think it's complete hubris to equate verbal aggression from managers to officials and players to unacceptable and toxic male behavior, which sadly so many (but not all) women have to put up with.
I think Hayes making such a false accusation is actually potentially damaging, as it encourages cry wolf reactions to genuine cases of male aggression. Hayes' comments weren't a quick judgement at all, they were well made well after the end of the match. They seem to me to have been a calculated attempt to weaponize Eidevall's gender against him (rare that it's this way around but it does happen), probably partly in response to the agony of a late defeat and partly from her annoyance at his continual remonstrating from the touchline. Sour grapes with a bitter aftertaste.

The trouble is…Jonas was one of the in-studio pundits during England’s Euros, and he came over as passionate, knowledgeable, and such a nice guy, that it’s hard to think of him as being your stereotypical ‘aggressive male’ ?!
I think it’s safe to say that (whilst respecting her enormously) not everyone loves Emma, but ANY and ALL Lioness supporters love Jonas!
Gareth Taylor had a whinge about Jonas too, but we just thought maybe he should grow a pair? 🩵😂.
Seems to me and most people that Jonas was right to be hugely aggrieved, after giving into Emma’s preference to just use the one ball, then have Cuthbert call for an extra ball right at the end? Not male aggression…i don’t think (and honestly, i’d be on him if i truly thought it was), just Jonas being passionate and Emma being a sore loser….
