  • MASSIVE German Yellow Jacket colony (Vespula germanica-anthic) nest inside an old school house wall. This client wanted the nest removed ASAP and hired me to have it extracted through the old plaster and lath wall.

It's ironic this video is on German yellow jackets. Just last week we had yellow jackets in the office, and I was able to identify them for the groundskeeper thanks to watching your videos. Thanks again for being as educational as you are entertaining.

Another great video, as usual. I just recently found a nest under one of the steps for the stairs leading from the rear deck of my house. Had noticed one or two buzzing me when I would go to the shop out back, but really thought nothing of it. And then I started noticing three, four, maybe five or six at a time. I thought "Ok, HAS to be a nest nearby". Checked under the deck, around the deck, around the house foundation... nothing. Was standing in the shop entrance door and just happened to look at the deck stairs...WHOAH...there it was, right under one of the steps. Luckily had not gotten TOO big, so I was able to take care of it myself. I hate to think what might have happened if I hadn't used those stairs for another two or three weeks! Again, thanks for the great video.
