A company manufactures two types of pen namely 'Hero' and 'Raja'. The following are the detail of the cost for the year ended 31st March 2013.
Direct Material
Rs.1,30,00
Direct Labour
1,10,000
Production overhead
72,500
The following further information are available.
1) The Direct Material in 'Raja' pen was 40% of that in 'Hero' pen.
2) The Direct Labour Cost in Hero pen was twice as much as that in Raja pen.
3) Production overhead per pen was in the ratio of 5:3 (Hero and Raja).
4) Administration overhead for each type of pen was 100% of Direct Labour Cost.
5) Selling and Distribution overhead was Rs. 1.50 per pen both type.
6) The following were the production and sales during the year. "Hero" pens was 20000 manufactures of which 18000 sold @ Rs. 22 each. 'Raja' pens 15000 manufactures of which 14000 were sold @ Rs. 14 each.
Prepare a statement showing cost and profit per pen each type.
