- This long bedtime story begins with you being in a park playing chess with a stranger. After the game of chess, you begin your journey home. You head past a bakery and ponder the different routes that you could take home, many of which take about the same amount of time, but which could lead to different life possibilities depending on the route you take. You take a slightly different route to usual, stopping for a while in a park, absorbing yourself in the moment. Once home, you rest a while then head to bed, sitting in bed reading a story about a cat going on an adventure, before drifting asleep into Slumberland.

Fabulous as always, but Dan, are you aware that CZcams have tacked an advert on the end, which immediately wakes you up.😢
Yes. They started doing that in November last year. Myself and other creators made videos about this issue in the months before that change happened. Jason Stephenson did a petition to CZcams to try to get them to not do this for sleep channels, myself and others shared that petition with our viewers to get as many signatures as possible.
CZcams said to use a specific hashtag and they would try to reduce how often ads were shown at the end of videos with that hashtag, but I don't think it has made any difference.
There is nothing we can do about it, so most of us creators started doing 3 hour videos to delay the ad so that it happens either hours after you have hopefully fallen asleep and hopefully you are deep enough asleep by then not to be woken, or giving you that time so that you can set a sleep timer on CZcams for the video to stop playing after say an hour or two but before the end, that way the video stops before it gets to the end and so no end ad plays.
CZcams are still testing turning on ads during videos that have mid-roll ads turned off, so I suspect that in a year or two CZcams will take creator control away around those ads too and all videos will have ads in the middle of them as well as at the beginning and end and the only option we will have is whether CZcams will decide the placement of those mid-roll ads or whether we decide where the ads go. But I think we will lose the ability to tell CZcams we don't want the ads.

I think you can only download CZcams videos if you are a Premium users, but if you are a Premium user then you wouldn't get ads anyway. I could be wrong, maybe there is a way to download the video as a regular user?
If you can download the video then it obviously would just be the video. Ads aren't attached to the video, CZcams places ads specific to what it thinks you are interested in seeing, so every viewer gets ads specific to them.
Obviously, I rely on the adverts to make my living so that I can continue to make sleep stories, so I need people to either be Premium users, or to see the ad at the beginning of the video, but it is frustrating that CZcams now places the ad at the end.
The best solutions are either to use a different service if you are subscribed to something like Spotify or another streaming service, or listen to the stories on Patreon where you can connect the Patreon feed with your podcast app of choice to create playlists of stories etc., or to use CZcams Premium, or to turn on CZcams's bedtime timer (in the settings you can turn on the bedtime timer and set for when you want videos to stop playing, then just set the timer for less than 3 hours into the video and the video will stop playing before it ends which means that no ending ad will play)
