Here's a look at our most recent trip to Toronto to photograph for Modest Street Fashion. We were able to work with some amazing people! We also had the opportunity to sit down for an interview on Metro Morning hosted by Matt Galloway at CBC (Canadian Broadcast Channel).

Modest Street Fashion is a collection of photographs that commemorates the emerging culture of modest street style which has erupted around the world. It is the first book to visually document this ever growing international trend that has exploded from the streets of Kuala Lumpur to the alleys of New York City. Do you document solemnly about Muslim fashion (modesty)? "Faith driven" can also imply Christians and Jews. :)

I look forward to seeing the book and viewing your art, but a small criticism if I may… try to keep your subjects in focus. The focus hunting from foreground to background is enough to make one nauseous while viewing. Use manual focus and a larger DOF. Get a tripod or stabilizer of some sort.
Do you also focus on filming modest Christian women? (;
I wish you can show the entire look, not only faces. It just seems like its just pretty faces, which isnt a bad thing, these ladies are gorgeous and the scarf brings out their eyes, however, seeing the full look from head to toe would be helpful. Thanks

Just wondering. When you say modest street fashion, do you just mean Muslim modest street fashion. Seems everyone on here was Muslim, which is not bad but the title was misleading. It came across as being all kinds women, the comman threat being modesty from the title. This seems as just Muslim women finding ways to be fashionable and obey thier faith. Which is not a problem. It just came across before watching the video it was going to women of various faith being modest, because most faiths teach modesty and women of other faith can be modest as well. Just a thought. :)
