I am not a Muslim but a hebrew and was excited about the concept of promoting modesty. In today's age of "do what thou will" it's so important for women of faith to stand for principle.

I believe there are two aspects of modesty; one being superficial which is expressed by attire (islamically for females this means wearing hijab which fulfils the 7 conditions), the latter being spiritual and internal for example being humble etc.

Wow non of them really gave a well rounded answer about what modesty is. I'm quite disappointed. They all seemed a little confused and caught off guard.
The more you pray salaat the less self centered and more selfless you become,,, its not about the amount of shit you load on your face may allah help this sisters i knw as young women each one want to look good but modesty is not showing off to the world cause wallahi when your in the darkness even your shadow will not be there for you,,so work for the grave that is dark and no escape may allah have mercy on all the muslim sisters its hard world out there when jannah is the focus...SHOW MORE Girls With Abayaa and Nikkab
As a woman of God , and having Jesus Christ as my only savior and only truth. I also believe that modesty is very important. But what is the point of covering your heads when you have so much makeup, jewery , nails , and stuff that hide who you really are. Modesty is covering yourself in a way that pleases God not yourself . although i am not muslim i was exicted to see modest fashion but this isnt it . God bless you all 😊😊🎀💕

Beautiful girls ma sha Allah. But none of them seem to answer clearly what modesty is. Being strong inspiration to many young girls and claim "modest fashion" then maybe you should learn the definition. Yes, these women wear scarfs. But they wear tight clothing and bright clothing. A lot of makeup and jewelry, you are not being modest at all, maybe that is why they cannot give a clear answer. You attracting attention and are too much involved in this world. I'm not judging though, I love makeup and fashion. And in order for to get closer to Allah (swt) I should become more selfless and disconnect from this world. In sha Allah may we find our way to the right path. Ameen

So basically theres no point of us covering our hair if we're wearing makeup and have jewlery on.. Like what women or girl doesnt wear make up whats wrong with wearing makeup..occording to what you just said madam us MUSLIMAH women arent modest if we wear make up and jewlery ... Tell me ONE women who has never worn makeup nor jewlery ? I dont see how were hiding who we are under makeup
