U should grab all the fallen logs debark them and stack them so they dry out and u can use them in the future if u decide to build something else like a outhouse or a addition to the cabin they come in handy and will already be dried and debarked also I like that u used tin for the roof and are debarking the cabin now it'll last a long time, I've built a few cabins and dugout and it's a lot better to get the bark off, u can dig up some clay and use that for shinking works good also it will give u pretty good insulation
awesome cabin Woodsman, I built a little cabin like that and drug back a power washer and blew the bark off. Have to have water though. it appears those logs are balsam fir, those peel easy. On another note I picked up a 86 Winchester in 38-56
Hey, the cabin looks great! Hiping to do something similar soon as we're buying a few acres in New Brunswick. What part of Canada are you in? Do you have more videos of the build? What did you use for foundation? Cheers!!!!
Have you started cooking there, yet? It's easy to see you're burning calories but you don't seem to cook much. Also, the pump gun leaning against the porch, is it in one of your videos? Tedious work, but it's looking good and worth the effort to make your place just the way you want it.

Looking so nice by this stage. So cozy.
Nice work.
Howdy buddy- glad to see you’re doing well with the bark removal. It looks really good! Hope it all goes well for you. God bless you

Awesome ! Looks so much better now
Thanks :)
It’s looking good
Nothing works as well as a Draw Shave to take the bark off. It looks really nice with the bark off and now the wood will last a very long time.
Cool
Those tree breaks are from Sasquatch
I think it looks much better but more importantly the bugs and insects should leave it alone now.
I find it looks nice too. Gives it a decent look.

I just put the logs up on posts . One day id like to lay it on rocks if possible. Im in Quebec.
@@northernwoodsman ok great, thanks. Really nice job!
Hello I may help to heat the cabin if you block off the underside of cabin to keep wind from blowing under cabin and keep critters out
Yeah, i might add logs at some point. I added a plastic under the floor so wind doesn't blow in. I don't have any heat issues for now.
Going to lose a lot of heat threw the floor. Need to block off so wind can’t blow underneath. How is the roof insulated? Do u have access to water?
I'm not worried about heat at all... I get to 45 degrees in 15 minutes at - 30 outside. And floor is blocked off with plastic film. No wind.
i used balsam once but peeled it first in the spring is slides off
Ya that's what you're supposed to do

My grandfather is from Quebec his name is Galloway. His mother was an O'Reilly. I'm in NY state I want to do this in the woods somewhere.
