Heyđ€, I wanna start my major in interior design but I am afraid of three aspects:
1. the maths and physics. Do you really need to be good at it?:)
2. that I am not creative enough when I am under stress and that i Would lose my passion about art and drawing if I'd have to do it on a daily basis. What is your experience with that?:)
3. That I won't find a job later on because there are so many who have that degree and the competition is huge. So I am afraid that I will end up without a job. Is that true? Is it really not that safe?
I know that it's a lot of questions but I am so lost atm and don't know what to do with life.

hi! no need to apologize, i'm always happy to help! so far the math aspect is not too difficult at all. for the art aspect, i'm actually the opposite haha and work best under pressure. I was never the best at drawing but always pushed myself to produce the best work possible. when working on a project, the closer I get to completion the more passionate and determined I am to finish it. and lastly, that is one of the main reasons I chose a small school! it is a competitive field so having a small class increases my chances of making connections with professionals/guest speakers which can lead to potential internships or jobs. My daughter wants to take up interior design after her A levels. Any suggestion for her? How will it help her professionally ?
Can you please make a video on floor plans and the units because I am really struggling with understanding what they mean by foot and converting it into a floor plan
hi! i'm a little confused on what you mean. we convert feet into inches so for example every 1 foot would equal 1/4 inch on our floor plans. so if my room was 10 feet wide it would be 2 feet (10 x 1/4 inch = 2 ft) on the plan. i hope this helps but if you have more questions let me know :)

These videos are so helpful!! Would you say you have enough free time in the weekends and during the week bc this seems like a very time consuming project. Iâm just wondering because Iâve been looking into going to an interior design school.
hi! thank you so so much! i would say that it varied some weekends i would have a lot more and vice versa. it depends on how you balance your time but for me especially towards the beginning it was more time consuming coming up with the initial idea :)

U said u went to a small school and I wanted to know whether going to a small school vs a school that's bigger but the top 10 best school for interior design which would u pick.
hi! personally I would chose a small school because I have always gone to smaller schools and am used to that more one on one learning experience. also with smaller schools I feel like its easier to make connections with guest speakers. on the other hand, there's reasons why that bigger school is top 10. it probably has many more resources and also may land you more job opportunities by having a top school on your resume. ultimately I feel its up to you and which learning environment you feel will help you succeed and land a solid career. hi! unfortunately I don't know any on the west coast because I wanted to stay on the east coast đ but this website helped me SO much when looking for schools: bigfuture.collegeboard.org/college-search you can filter by location, cost, whether you want to do a 2 year program or 4 year and so much more! hope this helps đ
