I wasn't hyped at all at begining bc I got USA for free I didn't understood why Mexico alone was so expensive. Man now I love Mexico, is the most creative civ in the entire game, I hope they make more Americas civs like that, Gran Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, Chile... I'd love to play them.
Mexico is actually kind of a good civilization for Revnak, considering his early game pressure style of playing, cheap insurgents and chinacos work perfectly for him, so I'm not surprised he won.
this is a great show whats the main weakness of aztecs. if you deal with warrior priests effectively early on you can win the game fairly easily. that wasnt the greatest game of Kynesie, he overall plays better... but also in aztecs considerably there is only one thing that should be nerfed. And this was shown in this video - shadowteching of warrior priests... they have better overall stats than veteran hussars age 3 (excluding siege attack) and have no tag properties to be countered effectively (they are not infantry, nor cavalry).
Is there actually any way to view the win rates of civs, also across different elos? It would be interesting to see if Aztec has a win rate above 50%, because they are considered strong but I often see them losing
@@lionheart9015 i think lacking strategies of ottos on differenciated maps are main problem. On maps without trade routes they are already on losing side because ottomans most of the time spend their starting wood on trade route. In compare to e.g. Germany - even though it builds trading post early, most of the time isnt really needed due to their strategies can be switched from ff to very early aggression, with which ottoman doesnt handle too long without any support from capital shipments and if misplayed once it can change their winning situation to losing relatively quickly.
The insurgente have been nerfed too much to use except in early age 2. Their siege speed is now 50% slower. They can't counter cav spam like normal spears without the reach. I've been crushed with a 30 mass with a handful and muskets and hussars. It would be better to have real spears. It looks like civs without a musket and cav composition can't defend well against them.
Hey bro sorry I have another question. I was playing vs. Mexico and the player revolted and had 8 filibusters, 3 owlhoots, 3 cowboys, revolutionary padre, gunslingers, 2 falconets and 1 culverin in exactly 6 minutes. How could I stop this?
I'm pretty sure those 2 falcs were quaker guns. They actually don't deal any damage. Just a bait. Against baja you mostly want skirms if available and some heavy cav. A little wall might help. And use stagger mode on your skirms or bows.
