Russian soldiers 'abandoned by fleeing comrades truck leaving them stranded in Ukraine'

  • Bizarre drone footage of what appears to show Russian soldiers sprinting to catch up with their fleeing comrades' trucks has been ridiculed by their Ukrainian enemies.
The footage was shared by the Centre for Strategic Communications (StratCom) for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
The Ukrainian agency said: "Another myth that 'the second army of the world does not leave behind its own' is debunked."
The footage shows a Russian unit apparently relaxing by the side of a snow-covered road with two military vehicles.
The video then cuts and the two vehicles are seen racing up the icy road as at least two Russian soldiers run behind them.
One soldier gets close to the back of the fleeing lorry before suddenly slipping and face-planting the thick snow.
The footage was filmed by a Ukrainian drone and the time and location were not specified.
According to Ukrainian reports, the Russian unit fled from members of the 93rd Mechanised Brigade of the Ukrainian Ground Forces.
As of 29th March, the Russian forces have reportedly lost over 17,200 soldiers and officers, including seven generals, 597 tanks, 127 aircraft, 129 helicopters, and thousands of other military vehicles and pieces of equipment.
Meanwhile, Ukraine has reportedly suffered economic losses of around USD 565 billion (GBP 430 billion) from the Russian invasion.
Russian President Vladimir Putin's forces invaded Ukraine on 24th February in what the Kremlin is still calling a "special military operation" to "demilitarise and denazify" the European state.
The United Nations' International Court of Justice in The Hague, in the Netherlands, has ordered Russia to stop its invasion and remove its troops from Ukrainian territory.
Ukraine's President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has said that his government is prepared to discuss adopting a neutral status as part of a peace deal with Russia.
Russia-Ukraine peace talks are ongoing in Turkey.

Poland has one very large advantage-it is a NATO member. Ukraine is not, and would be many years away from full membership even if they were conditionally accepted today. We can't assist them directly without becoming a belligerent, so instead we donate weapons and supplies.
What people don't seem to realize is that western Europe outnumbers Russia many times over, while Russia's GDP was barely equal to Canada's before the invasion began (it's taken a big hit since). Germany for all intents and purposes beat Russia by itself in World War I and came close in World War II. All while also fighting most current NATO members at the same time.
There is no reason that Europe, with its huge reserves of resources and manpower, should not be able to contain Russia, whether the Americans assist them or not (which they are bound by treaty to do). Hell, the Ukrainians are doing a decent job of it by themselves, because they're fighting for their homeland-and that is the most dangerous kind of enemy.

Probably it was a joke played by the Russian comrades on one another, like how we boys fool around by locking a friend outside of the car and make him walk for a few yards. And I'm pretty sure Russian comrades can have such fun time coz the Ukrainians are hiding or fleeing LOL

thank God for video and the great Ukrainian people for showing us the Truth of Russian forces, they're weak and unprofessional!! disorganized military temperament has been eye opening!!! Putin and the Kremlin best crawl back under that Rock they have been under cuz if they ever have the unfortunate pleasure of meeting the US in battle it would be the end of this Russian Bear the world thought was so tough!!! Our military experience is far greater than wat was shown in the Afghanistan debacle!!!look back at Iraq and Afghanistan in the early yrs and know we'd wipe the floor with them!!!
