Safe Isolation - Don’t FAIL Your AM2 or AM2S

During AM2 or AM2S or AM2E you will be expected to remove the cover of a 3 phase distribution board. It is important this is done correctly by asking for permission before staring the isolation procedure next all MCB's need turning off followed by the main switch. Many leaners when under the pressure of the end point assessment forget to isolate the main switch before removing the distribution cover.

That isn't safe isolation as there could be exposed copper on the incoming side of that switch disconnector. I would isolate upstream of that DB as it is much safer. I can't tell you the amount of domestic CUs I have inspected where the installer had not terminated the line conductor properly and there is exposed copper to touch
