A 90s classic from the group Deep Blue Something. What I like about this song is that it shows that it is possible to write a song about breaking up that is not the usual cliché about putting the blame on someone or about dealing with the pain but something completely different: finding the one thing that connects the two ex-partners, even though it's really only that little thing, in this case a film both seem to like.

I never would have thought this song would work as eurobeat, but you managed to make it sound so natural!

I wasn’t sure if it would work when I saw the tempo of the original. 110 BPM is really difficult because it either needs to be slowed down significantly and get a double speed beat or be sped up by a lot (to 150 BPM in this case). When I found out that it was possible to recreate the rhythm of the acoustic guitar with a synth while keeping the same feel, I knew that it would work.

Huh, didn't know this song, but I agree that I find it hard to find breakup songs I can actually somewhat relate to, since I also find myself tired at that same old cliche about excessively blaming the other partner. It feels kinda self-centered and often a bit too hateful imho. But I like this one, it's kinda wholesome in a way! Loved the nostalgic way it sounded as well!
