Our people, all people were tribal at the beginning. Heilung connects with something in our DNA which moves us even if we don't understand why.

I love watching Heilung reaction videos; always curious what first-time viewers think. I've been to over a thousand concerts (only 3 of which were Heilung) and NOTHING compares to seeing them live. They awakened something so deep and beautifully primitive my soul and I love it! They put so much thought and work into their music and art. Thank you for doing them justice!

Can I just add som points that are important in seeing this? The most important being that the child is born under an eclipse 0:56 (seen in background several times). According to previking believs they had very special gifts: hamnskifte (= the ability to change appearance), age shift, talking to animals, and healing as in when she heals the bird. The previking time and it's religion in nordic countries is much more female directed than the religion in the later years (viking gods like Tor and Oden with all the everpresent masculinity... ). Actually it is more animistic than divine. The language they use is only partially known and therefore reconstructed. The final scene is when she reunites with her totem, the muschosoxe. (Partially reposted from my earlier comment on this movie)

Heilung" means "healing" in German. There's a live version of the song titled "Anoana Live| LIFA Llyn Dain". It's an amazing version with a different vibe. (also, a full stage ensemble)

Oh Kelly you found hielung such beautiful German folklore music from the past that this group brings to the ears of the listener much like wintersun and ensiferum use viking folklore in their music. And as you have a singing background you will appreciate the melodic vocals that they use in their music. And we here in Texas are still in recovery from the hurricane damage to my town Huntsville Texas I'm still volunteering help pass out water and food to people that lost their homes as a update if you wanted to know since I let you know earlier this week but we took a break to watch your reaction and analysis today for this song we are big wintersun and ensiferum fans here and we love you too Kelly. Wintersun Alex in Texas ❄️👋❤️

Heilung's performance of Lifa at Castlefest was their first live performance together. It's available on their channel, and it's the full, uncut performance. It's more a ritual than a concert, and I highly recommend watching the entire thing. It's simply entrancing.

Thanks for reacting to music that is outside of the mainstream. It exposes your audience to music that some may not have heard but wanted to hear

Exactly. This is the reason why I wanted to do a reaction channel. Expose people to all kinds of music that I have never heard about or thought existed and I am glad you are all suggested music that most of us have never heard before. Thank you for watching.

OMG!!! I am so glad you have gotten to Heilung! I left a comment on your video for TOOL’s Reflection. Both are bands are part of my spiritual journey.
Heilung has a number of videos from their 2017 LIFA performance (or ritual). “Krigsgaldr” is a good one to check out next. czcams.com/video/QRg_8NNPTD8/video.html
Heilung is based in Northern Europe. Kai (male singer) from Germany, Maria (female singer) from Norway & Christopher (male singer, musician, sound engineer) from Denmark.

As much fun as Heilung's videos are, their live performances are actually better. You are exactly right. The group has stated that it isn't important that you know what the words mean because the music is meant to be experienced as a ritual. Saw them in Norway and in the U.S. They often invite local indigenous dancers to join their ritual performances. They have certainly the most original act I've seen in 40 years. Pagan folk is a burgeoning genre and there are lots of bands now compared to 10 years ago but these guys are unique.

Anyone who tries to make any definitive propositional assertions about Ancient Norse beliefs is at best writing fan fiction.
The earliest written records of them did not come until, 1220 at the earliest, and the guy who wrote them down was a Catholic Christian named Snorri Sturluson from Iceland.

Hi there I am new to you I have looked through all of your reactions on here and I see you like alot of different music ( alot of metal also) but if you want something completely different for you I have to artists for you to check out one is a young lady from Russia she just turned 20 her name is Diana Ankudinova she will blow your mind I would suggest starting with her cover of the classic Elvis song "Cant Help Falling in Love" then the other artist I have for you is an artist from Wales his name is Ren and I would suggest you start with his song "Hi Ren" he is very good he has been covered by Azahriah and I see you have a few of his songs that you have reacted to so I am sure you will like REN. I loved your reaction to Heilung they are an experience not just a music group at all they are spiritual if you aloow yourself to get lost in the music it will move you.
