Geographically it's definitely Africa. Politically it's Europe. That's what makes Melilla such a unique destination

Hi mate :) thank you for the video! I am planning to do this soon, can I ask, were there any immigration checks at each side? And also, do the ferries run often / were there plenty of tickets available online? Thanks in advance! 😊

Hi, from memory there was an ID check as well as security, but not full immigration. You shouldn't have any problems at all getting tickets at short notice. Enjoy! Melilla is a cool place to visit, especially now that the border with Morocco is open again.

I live in Melilla. As a non Spanish citizen (even if you are resident in Spain with a TIE card) you will need your passport. There are police checks at both ends. Spanish citizens can use their ID cards. The ferries run everyday Balearia or Trasmediterranea. You can sail from Almeria or Malaga (sometimes Motril).
