I think I understand where the whole "Sajam is getting easier opponents than me" thing now. Sajam is better than whoever is complaining, especially at capitalising on weaknesses, so he *makes* the other player look like ass.
Man that JB set is so fun to watch. Obviously a top 3 CPT qualifier player is probably going to win against your day 2 Ryu but it was really fun to see the difference in applications
I can never see or understand why Ryu is considered weak. I always see him as perfectly fine in most games with the thing being there's characters that do everything he does and more
I think the point of a character like Ryu is to have every option but not be the best at it. It's fine if someone's rushdown is better than Ryu's or someone's zoning is better than Ryu's, but if someone is all-around better than a character that's supposed to be an all-around character it pretty much makes Ryu obsolete. Not weak, just pointless.

The thing is there is basically little reason to use Ryu over Luke mostly since Ryu's unique advantages are situational mostly since dejin charge is hard to make work and needs a rework so his main advantage over Luke often doesn't matter
Ryu doesn’t have pressure and pressure is very important in this game, his hashogeki isnt used like his other specials unless it’s someone like endingwalker or paladin
I mean, if you think about it, there's nothing more honest that a straight punch to the face, it has to be the quintessential fighting move in the history of fighting. Besides slapping i guess.

Your Ryu playstyle definitely hightlight how generous they were with standing normals hitting crouching characters at midrange in this game. Back in SF4, most of those standing LP and the standing HP would probably whiff a lot more. Again, not saying it was better that way, but it looks very apparent here.

I'm a bit confused why i's being Heavy Medium when I thought Medium Heavy was 100% accurate on connect and faster (part of a target combo)?
I feel like Aki needs to be a counter to a heavily played top tier or a buff of some sort to get her played more I like her though.
Does it matter what version DP you use to anti-air? My ex DP seems to whiff sometime.
Each strength is better for a specific range. Light for when they're very close and so on.
