    He accidentally said Disney+ instead of Genie+, which also tells you how confusing this is.

      I was thinking to myself, there's nothing really confusing about the system it's the way people describe it that makes it confusing. Back in the day you selected your 3 and then picked one after you finished your three...little different now but the concept is the same

    Thank you for creating this basic, clear and precise explanation of what seems to be a very overcomplicated and messy system implemented by Disney. This has come in very useful for our Disney Holiday as it was confusing us a bit. We have only done Universal and not Disney since the late 90's and early 2000's so lots has changed (including this system) and many guides go on and on and as a result confuse people more so it's nice to come across an informative video which is simple to understand. Thanks again

    just got back from disney (January 2024) didn’t use lightening lanes or genie plus. just started on one end of the park and went from ride to ride. got everything done except for similar rides like dumbo, astro orbital and aladdin’s magic carpets. (we did do dumbo) but i skipped its a small world. great time. put your phones away and enjoy the parks.

      this would depend on when you go in the year. i’m sure january was a slower time so without genie+ or lightning lanes it would be a little easier than peak seasons

    Genie+ ruined the parks for us. We won't go back until it's gone (so, never probably). It has taken away the ability to enjoy the parks in sequential order. Instead, you're running across the park multiple times in blazing heat in the hope of getting on something. Your family's ability to plan your day has now gone. It's also turned people into total phone-zombies - worse than before. You don't get the rides you'd like, and we only ever got max 2 and never 3. It feels like a con, a rip-off. We flew 4300 miles and couldn't get on Jungle Cruise, Tower, Slinky, or Pirates. Sorry to be a negative nelly, but we remember life before G+ in the parks, and it was so much better

      Those are all good points. It is so frustrating. I think if I went to Disney World again, I wouldn't get Genie+. It is only worth it at Disneyland.

      You can still ride the rides though, you just have to wait in line just like everyone else. Tron and Cosmic Rewind are the only ones that you can’t just walk up and get in line for, but it’s still free to get a virtual queue.

    What is the point of individual lightening lane selections if you have genie+? Cant you just select the ride via genie+? Isnt that the whole point?

    Thank you so much for this video. I was just searching for something like this yesterday. Planning an April 2024 trip. I’ll be watching this one more than once and taking notes to better understand it. Planning our Universal trips are WAAAY easier!😂😂. I’ve book marked your site as well.

    So you don’t need to purchase genie plus if you want to ride the premium ride only. So lets say I only want to ride seven dwarf one day. I would just buy the individual LL and not have to actually purchase the genie plus? Is that correct?

      @@roseawen5961 I knew that... I talked to a cast member before, at least the Haunted Mansion was only a forty minute wait the first time my mom and I rode, unlike Jack and Sally's line, it was long but not too bad at least I met them again for the 2nd time

    Hi, What happen if you buy both (LL and genie+)? you can use both at 7 am? or you have tu use first de LL and then genie?

    • @TheParkProdigy
      @TheParkProdigy  Před rokem +1

      You are allowed to schedule both LL and Genie+ at 7am - it doesn't matter the order!

  • @sgiaki
    @sgiaki Před 3 měsíci

    So, say both my husband and I get the genie +, will we be able to book the same times for the LL or is there a possibility one of us doesn’t find a spot for the time the other selected?
    Also, we have a 2 year old toddler that doesn’t have a pass yet. Does she get to go on the rides with us?
    Finally, it says somewhere that you typically get to do 2-3 attractions in a day? That’s not a lot !!

    • @TheParkProdigy
      @TheParkProdigy  Před 3 měsíci +1

      One person will be able to book LL for the entire group (including your toddler). Children under 3 are welcome to join the rest of their party in the Lightning Lane entrance.
      We find that you are absolutley able to book more than 2-3 attractions in a day especially in parks like Magic Kingdom but it also depends on how busy the park is/how many people are puchasing Genie+ that day.
