- Today we have an adventurous fall day in Florence, Italy! 🇮🇹 And it also happens to be my favorite holiday weekend of the year too - Thanksgiving! 🍁 Even though I'm not in the States to celebrate with my friends and family, we still find lots to eat and drink, make a little pit stop at the Santa Croce Christmas Market for some mulled wine, check out some Black Friday sales, and spend the evening having a drink and watching the sunset at one of my favorite rooftop bars in the city! And I'm happy to say that Florence in November is still charming and delicious! 🍂

I was shocked to see "Black Friday Sales" in Switzerland. Our traditions are becoming very popular around the world :) 6.5 Euros for Thanks Giving meal? What a deal! Love the cheap Gluhwein in Christmas markets as you can keep the Mugs as souvenir.

First of all; Pino's! Great shoutout! We had some great meals there! Together with "Panini Toscani" next to the Duomo (try the walnut bread!), these two were our favorite panini negozi! And scond; Thanx so much for introducing us to this AWESOME rooftop bar alla Piazza della Repubblica!

Hey, love you guys. Started watching because we're coming to florence in May and now watching all your videos. Mateo the hat is called a chaperon they are made of wool they're medieval High class headwear, consisting of a thick border (bourrelet/rondel), a tail (cornette/liripipe) and a loosely hanging piece of fabric (cape/patte). The white underneath is a coif made of linen. I make reenactment clothing, there are probably some in Italy that do too, find a medieval reenactment fair. Or you can buy online usually the cheapest come from Poland. The "shrek" guy was Lorenzo De Medici.
Side note have you ever been to any of the "speakeasy" bars in florence?

Loving the spirit of Thanksgiving. I'm travelling to Italy in May/June. Quick question. At somewhere like the rooftop bar, do you pay at the counter when you leave, or at the table? Sorry, it's been a while since I've travelled to Europe.
That’s so exciting! 😍🇮🇹 And we usually get up and pay on our way out, but you could also ask them to bring you the bill - it really just depends on the place!

Which neighborhood? Do you like it there? We're just starting to get interested in the neighborhoods and aspects of life in each.
Thank you so much Chris! 🤗 That sounds incredible 😍🇮🇹 We stay in Piazza Beccaria, which is about a 15 min walk from Santa Croce. It’s more of an Italian residential area, and very lively with a really big Coop supermarket which great. A few years ago we lived right next to the church of Santa Croce, which was also fun, but we feel like we have a bit more room to walk around and get stuff done in the Piazza Beccaria area 😊
@@michaworldwide Sure, I know that area! Very cool. We've stayed in Piazza Santa Croce one year as well. Also Borgo Pinti, which is kinda near you guys, right? This year we're staying over in the Oltrarno--Via dei Velluti, which we're looking forward to. Just like hearing about the characteristics and nuances of the different neighborhoods. Grazie! 😀

Yes it seems quite a few of them have rooftop bars! I know there is a rooftop bar at their locations in Florence, Rome, Milan & Palermo! 😍
What is the weather like in Florence during thanksgiving week in Italy?
Last thanksgiving it was surprisingly pretty warm during the day, then it got colder in the late afternoon / evening! ✨
When are we getting Mateo's channel?
