Thank you, I came across your networking videos that are over a decade old, I am glad that you're making modern videos on the subject with all your experience. The osi model as a mentality , which also prevents overwork, which is prevalent in the Technology industry, is also a nice way to look at this video. a large part of troubleshooting is anticipation and knowledge, so it's nice to hear that 99.9% of problems(hard fails?) can be directed at 1 of 7 layers lol.
unfortunate that you had to arrange a flight to plug in an ethernet cable, at least we have video-calling now!

The actual OSI model has helped fix more issues as a network/systems engineer than I can care to think about.
Advice from an old but young looking IT dude to the "non-boomer" peeps:
I'm always learning but as a tech professional of 15 years, do yourself a favor, learn each topic deeply so that you are not just memorizing it. When you do that, you realize that when you're facing an actual issue that needs to be resolved, you will be better prepared to come up with solutions and implement them like a true professional.

Wow! Haven't heard anyone mention the OSI model in quite some time. I still remember studying that for my Netware 3.x CNE. The cool kids from TCP/IP land used to make fun of me and take away my 3Com cards in the sysadmin playground as they insisted there were only four layers to worry about. Those bullies didn't even care if the NIC was bound to 802.2 or 802.3.

I guess at the end of the day, Eli gives the concrete specific examples I was looking for. This is the best damn description of the OSI model and re subbed for more examples from future videos. You come across as an asshole at times, but I guess that means you speak my language lol.

Your tech videos aint getting much views not because ppl arent interested in your tech videos but other factors. Here's my suggestion:
    1) clickbait titles
    2) 100% focus on tech, any non-tech will simply dilute your channel, create a 2nd channel for non-tech, that way ull do well for both channels rather than mixing both in 1
    3) Project based videos
