Me too. Unfortunately, 1980, turned 18 in January, followed them, and was the worst year of my life. My parents separated, and I fell in love, which was unrequited, have never come to turns with it and it still haunts me to this day, aged 59!
10/10 without even needing to blink before selecting the answers....way to easy of a quiz. They could have asked the questions without showing multiple choice answers and I still probably would have got all of them right.
I'm 65 (10 out of 10} and I remember all those songs as if it were yesterday. It was a different radio world in the 70's as compared to today. Those were the top 40 days and the top 40 hits were played several times a day. It was just Rock and Roll and Country. There weren't a gazillion different songs being played and you could easily distinguish Rock from Country. Now days, I wouldn't really know what to call the music that is being played so I just listen to Oldies stations.
Hi Jimmy! I listen to 50's,60's,70's music mainly, but still listen to todays music too, with having a 24 year old in the house. Most of it is not good, but I do really like the odd gem. Bet you won't be still listening to it though in maybe 20/30 years time. I'm 64!!
9/10 when are the quizs becoming hard if your 50 or over these are easy.KC and the sunshine band where around just long enough for a 55yo to remember. A little harder please.
I'm with you, Mr Baker. I'm 58 and I, too got 10 out of 10 & you are absolutely right these were the top 10 in their day.....and there were days when I couldnt wait to hear these songs over & over again.!! And, unlike today's stations ( the oldies ) you were lucky to hear a single one of those songs played twice in a single day.😁👍👍👍
I was born in 1959. 10 out of 10. I admit i guessed on Rose Royce though. I remember Rose Royce doing Car Wash. The song from the movie Car Wash. Workin at the car wash yeah
The year us wrong for Crocodile Rock, it was 1972 not 1974 I remember listening to this as a 13 year Old in my friends house. We played it over and over again and Bennie and the Jets was 1974.
I was born in 2007. Thirty years past all these songs. I still got 9 out of 10 correct. (I missed #5). This quiz was so easy and you said that even if I lived through the 70s I would fail the quiz. I only have one thing to say. YOU WERE WRONG!!
I got them all. Quite easy except question 7, which I luckily guessed right. Redbone I have never heard of. I live in Australia and they never had any hits here
10/10.A couple of guesses. I'm mostly into 60s music.By the way,the song from the 5th Dimension that you said was from 1970.It actually hit the charts in 1969.
I enjoy your quizzes but I have very bad vision and it's difficult for me to read the answer choices especially when they are tiny. I don't know if it's because they are white print or not but I would appreciate higher contrasting colors in the answer boxes. Thank you for any consideration.
I got 9/10, and I don’t even know why I missed the one, I’m just tired I guess and need to go to bed. This was so ridiculously easy though and I don’t know how anyone could “fail” this.
9/10 correct. Missed # 5. To me it was a slightly Hard Quiz. I was in the Army Overseas 71’-74’. Most of our Music was Motown & CCR. None of that in this Quiz but I did Good.
Pretty simple, 10 out of 10. I was born in the early sixties. A lot of the 70's years in the questions were wrong though. For example the KC & The Sunshine Band song was 1975, not 1977.
I REALLY LIKE DOING THESE QUIZZES BUT ALL OF US DON'T HAVE 20/20 VISION. I CAN BARELY SEE THE PRINT & FOR SOME REASON IT SEEMS LIKE THE CORRECT ANSWERS ARE SMALLER EVEN. PLZ FIX THIS OR I GIVE UP. AGGRAVATING!!
I couldn't name anyone currently on the charts, but for us old folks, this was ridiculously easy.
@woolhat1
#6 had a funny alternative answer for an Elton John song.... "Don't mess with my man"
You got that right! Lol!
same. got them all right.
You're absolutely correct. I got 100%. I'm an old fart the 70's were my time I turned 18 in 77.
@@rcbailey2581 I was 15
10 out of 10 and I was born in 1961.......the 70's turned out to be the best time of my life.
Me too. Unfortunately, 1980, turned 18 in January, followed them, and was the worst year of my life. My parents separated, and I fell in love, which was unrequited, have never come to turns with it and it still haunts me to this day, aged 59!
Easy 10 out of 10
Well....there was some good music in the 70s, but we also had to endure the horrors of disco.
10/10 I could have been UNCONCIOUS and answered these questions.
I was in a coma when I answered them.
I know, right? I swear, this shit is some kind of weird click bait or something. You could be comatose and still answer it all correctly.
This was a piece of cake! 10 out if 10 did it again!
10/10 without even needing to blink before selecting the answers....way to easy of a quiz. They could have asked the questions without showing multiple choice answers and I still probably would have got all of them right.
Me too. lol
Easy! 10/10. I'm 66 and thought I had it " goin' on" back then.
We did! I did and didn't know it!
I'm 65 (10 out of 10} and I remember all those songs as if it were yesterday. It was a different radio world in the 70's as compared to today. Ps: yeah they were really easy for me too!!
I was in radio back then. This quiz brought back some wonderful memories.
I'm 51 and aced it ,,, just better music back then 👍
9/10 when are the quizs becoming hard if your 50 or over these are easy.KC and the sunshine band where around just long enough for a 55yo to remember. A little harder please.
I was a teenager in the 70s. I listened to them all. Very easy test.
Born in 56, got them all. Thought you said this was hard questions???!!!!
I missed the Rose Royce one. I know they did Car Wash but didn't know that Get Next to You one was them.
I missed that one, too.
They had the wrong year. I Wanna Get Next to You was in the movie Car Wash. But Car Wash came out in 1976. Not 1978
Too easy, 10/10. 70's music I know. 60's music I know, I might have a little more trouble with 80's, because I'm a classic rock fanatic.
Too bad these weren't classic rock. Too AM radio for me.
When are the questions REALLY going to be difficult🤔
The size of the Print makes it hard.
they don't realize how much the 70's generation were into music back then! This was easy!
Rose Royce almost tripped me up. I was looking for 'Car Wash' but I guessed right. I agree, it was too easy.
I'm with you, Mr Baker. I'm 58 and I, too got 10 out of 10 & you are absolutely right these were the top 10 in their day.....and there were days when I couldnt wait to hear these songs over & over again.!! And, unlike today's stations ( the oldies ) you were lucky to hear a single one of those songs played twice in a single day.😁👍👍👍
I lived through the seventies, and still managed to miss two of them, but only because I didn't recognize the artist or the song.
I was born in 1959. 10 out of 10. I admit i guessed on Rose Royce though. I remember Rose Royce doing Car Wash. The song from the movie Car Wash. Workin at the car wash yeah
I was also born in 59'and grow up on this music
I Want To Get Next To You was in the movie too. My father and my BBFs niece would watch that movie over and over as if they had never seen it before.
9/10 & I completely guessed on Q’s 9 & 10. (31 yr old who grew up listening to 70’s music her parents listened to. 🥰)
10 for 10 . Bought back memories , when you could understand what they are singing.
The year us wrong for Crocodile Rock, it was 1972 not 1974 I remember listening to this as a 13 year Old in my friends house. We played it over and over again and Bennie and the Jets was 1974.
And Redbone was 73 not 75
Fleetwood mac was 77
And Im pretty sure the other Elton song was off a year or two
I think most of them were wrong.
9/10. I missed 🌹 rose Royce.
Me too. I think the Car Wash song was the only thing I remember Rose Royce for.
That was the only one I had a question on and I guessed right out of two after eliminating two of the songs.
Me too
Have to do better than that to make me fail in this era music, best days ever!
I was born in 1955 but the late 50s 60s 70s and 80s was the best music of my life. Then I switched over to Country for a couple decades.
Got 9 out of 10. It is a very good quiz. I was happy that there were multiple music genre questions.
This was the easiest test ever. Too easy to the point of me thinking it was just clickbait. 🤷♀️
Yep, 10/10 here. Clickbait!
Yes it was , click bait
I aced it too. Had to guess the Rose Royce one though.
Had a hard time on the small print need to make it bigger
Correction: Elton John released the song Benny & the Jets within the album "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" in 1973 and not in 1975.
10/10 right always listened to Kasey Kasem’s top 40s
me 2
Fun to recall music from the 70’s! I got all 10 out of 10 questions right without even guessing on any!😎👍
I was born in 2007. Thirty years past all these songs. I still got 9 out of 10 correct. (I missed #5). This quiz was so easy and you said that even if I lived through the 70s I would fail the quiz. I only have one thing to say. YOU WERE WRONG!!
I get all ten these were some of my favorite songs
So far every one of those trivia quizzes a've had 10 out of 10.
10 for 10 and I'm 57. The 70s was my decade. Man did I have some fun! 9 to 19
10 for 10 (again) Bennie and the Jets came out in 1973 on the double album “Goodby Yellow Brick Road” instead of 1975
100% agree. I'm a huge Elton fan
An easy 10/10 for the 70s music category. No applause necessary.
I got Rose Royce song wrong, although I do remember “car wash”
Sabina Dums Same for me
Me too
Don’t remember much of the seventies. Lol. But it was easy. I loved the music.
I got them all. Quite easy except question 7, which I luckily guessed right. Redbone I have never heard of. I live in Australia and they never had any hits here
10/10 I am 77 and remember these songs very well....70's and 80's the two best decades for music...
I would say mid 60's to mid 80's.
10 out of 10 I guessed on Rose Royce!
Who could possibly think these quizzes are difficult....... 10/10 again.
9/10 - 1961 baby! 70’s was my decade!
10/10. Loved the 70's music.
10/10.A couple of guesses. I'm mostly into 60s music.By the way,the song from the 5th Dimension that you said was from 1970.It actually hit the charts in 1969.
10 put of 10. Music was my life as a shy child in the late 60’s and 79’s
I'm 53, was 12 in '80 , 9/10 missed Glen Campbell, couldn't find my glasses quick enough to read them all....
I enjoy your quizzes but I have very bad vision and it's difficult for me to read the answer choices especially when they are tiny. I don't know if it's because they are white print or not but I would appreciate higher contrasting colors in the answer boxes. Thank you for any consideration.
10/10, and there's a lot of the 70's that I don't remember.
10! yippee good years for good music
I got 9/10, and I don’t even know why I missed the one, I’m just tired I guess and need to go to bed. This was so ridiculously easy though and I don’t know how anyone could “fail” this.
8/10 . Born in 1951. Some of your print was small, needed a magnifying glass.
Fun Tim In California
This is great...10 of 10.
9/10 correct. Missed # 5. To me it was a slightly Hard Quiz. I was in the Army Overseas 71’-74’. Most of our Music was Motown & CCR. None of that in this Quiz but I did Good.
For me, that was easy. I grew up during those years and I was an avid music lover. 10 out of 10
8of10 🤣 Sorry Rose and Kenny, I was thinking about your other songs 😂
Rose wasn't a person, it was a group. I am sure they accept your apology anyway. Lol!
9 out 10. Never was a Fleetwood Mac fan I missed that one.
10 out of 10. Born in 1966 and still aced it. Could've done it in my sleep. The only people this would be difficult for is anyone born after 1990.
Why is the print white on blue and way too small to read?
I grew up in the 70s. Got 10 out of 10. They were pretty easy.
Double nickles here and good Lord I can tell you the albums these songs were on and most of the record labels. Hard my ass. Kiss my grits
Pretty simple, 10 out of 10. I was born in the early sixties. A lot of the 70's years in the questions were wrong though. For example the KC & The Sunshine Band song was 1975, not 1977.
Loved them songs ❤️👍😘
61 years old, got them all, wasn’t sure with Rose Royce answer.
10/10....I either had the 45 or my dad or older brother had the LP of each of the songs. Too easy!.
10 out of 10 thank you!!!
10 out 10 correct; Hey, I was there! I'm 60. 2/17/21.
'Com on do some Led Zeppelin.
james Armijo Led Zeppelin fucking shite
Got 'em all right, but 2 were lucky guesses.
I came of age in the 70’s. 10 out of 10.
Galveston 69, Glenn campbell / Jimmy webb
9/10. Great quiz but I think A Boy Named Sue came out in the summer of 1969.
These were back in my era. I got 9 out of 10
Bennie and the jets was way before 75. I was in 8th grade 71,72 when it came out
The carpenters released their song “close to you“ in 1970, not 1971.
Tiffany, you are absolutely right.......its off that one album from late 1970's
C’mon man ! My memory at 70 is shit but even I aced this.
10 out of 10 - - bun had to make an educated guess on two.
Fortunately for me..... I was listening to Rock - N - Roll back in the 70's........ And yet...... I still got 100% correct.
I’m 65, got them all very easily
10 out OF 10.
If you lived in the 70s there is no way you could fail this quiz even if you'd been in a comma.
9 out of ten but i do smoke at 4:20 every day.
Some answers were so tiny i got 8/10 Loved the 70s 💜
Me too!8 out 10
100 % . Thank you !!
I am 59 and I got all of them right. Please make these quizzes a bit harder.
This quiz was ridiculously easy, I was born in 63,
15 to 25 y.o in the '70s, 10/10
Oh, & don't forget Casey Casim & his ' Americas Top 40' program on Sundays.
Sonny Haskins - Casey Kasem is still doing the American top 40 for the 1970s on Sundays at 11:00 AM.
9/10 it then I’m a musician and have sang and played a lot of those songs
I REALLY LIKE DOING THESE QUIZZES BUT ALL OF US DON'T HAVE 20/20 VISION. I CAN BARELY SEE THE PRINT & FOR SOME REASON IT SEEMS LIKE THE CORRECT ANSWERS ARE SMALLER EVEN. PLZ FIX THIS OR I GIVE UP. AGGRAVATING!!
10 of 10. I love music!!!😻✌
Great score Ms Debbi😻8 of 10 for meeeeeeeeow😂😹miss you🤗😻🤞✌️
It was a fairly easy quiz. Just missed the Rose Royce - cannot remember them or what they sang.
5/10. I grew up in the 80's.
Ok you got me. I missed the Rose Royce question. I think that was the name but I’ve never heard of her. I prefer male singers anyway.
Annie/TN
9/10 missed the Rose Royce one. Teenager in the 70's
Maxed it! I had to guess a couple as they weren't hits in UK though.
I did score 8 out of 10 because I didn't even remember the Redbone was a band and another one. Not bad though...
I was a small child in the 70s and still aced this. Easy
10/10 And actually the 5TH Dimension Age of Aquarius came out in 1969, but close enough 😎
The year was off in every one of these. Some by two years.
I only missed two....back in the 70s I was mostly a disco and an Eagles fan. LOL. Still I got 8 right. LOL.
This was cool. missed one ? got the names messed up. most were simple ?
9/10 couldn't remember the Rose Royce song.
10 out of 10 for me. One was a guess though. The remainder were pretty easy.
I got 9/10 right. Not bad for being born in '67.
