I’m at least proud to know that the “tell” twin cities had in its shoulder is in fact a real boxing habit. Little habits like the twitch of a muscle do determine entire fights. This was how Ken Norton beat Mohammed Ali
I think the premise of this movie was genius, because when you see most of the opponents they're often implied to just be "bot makers" and not actual fighters, or people who know fighting, or boxing in this case. If that Mashida guy had some boxer give advice on what skills Zeus should have, like countering ability, footwork, or stances, then he'd probably get an overwhelming win in the fight against Charlie and Atom, imagine, in the middle of the final match, Zeus switching from orthodox to southpaw, or taking a more outfighter style approach, making use of his larger reach. You can also see here with Twin Cities, little to no use of a guard, poor footwork; not even assuming a proper stance, only throwing these large hooks, like at least mix it up, your opponent has a small reach, take advantage of your larger reach, and throw some jabs, look for an opportunity to counter, there's no rush because you're definitely ahead in terms of points
No doubt I mean because all mashida had was a machine that can analyze overall techniques doesn’t have the instinct of a real fighter plus just overwhelming strength that takes immense power to supply so hold out long enough then Zeus is done for
I disagree, because Zeus was supposed to represent how robotic the sport is, Atom is by far the most human robot in the movie, Zues quite litterally had piston arms so any wild human complicated moves couldve been impossible, like teaching a fish how to walk
That’s also the pint of This scene I think. twin cities machine is powerful and can counter most things but with human ingenuity and experience he was able to find a weakness and counter. All the best tech couldn’t beat an expert
The really cool thing with the scenes, is that you can tell that instinctively, Charlie’s body wants to throw the punches and do the slips and rolls he’s calling out for Atom. Even before the final fight of the movie, you can see he’s putting both his body and mind into each fight, even if he’s not the one fighting it.
Twin Cities has longer arms than most robots and was designed as a quick striker, as you could see he can't take hits but can easily deal the damage needed
I never really understood why he has 2 heads, if they really intended to build a robot with maximum area awareness then they could have build a bot with eyes all over its head. With this design it's all over the place for example when both of the heads spin uncontrollably due to confusion. Twin cities design only enlarged the place that boxers don't won't to get hit, the head and two of them, but I don't know, cool factor maybe?
I imagine the processing power needed to power 2 heads worth of situational awareness and all the technology that powers the cityscape esque body lights and stuff on Twin Cities (get it? It's body has light dots all over like a nighttime cityscape?) Would mean that it has a lot of fragile components in its body and all the money was poured into its programming and component building so its chassis isn't durable. All Charlie needed to do was focus the body and you can see Twin Cities team pulling up what looks like a motherboard chipper probably because all those shots to its body was breaking stuff inside and that's why it got confused when Atom spun around. Normally it should be able to track Atom no problem but because its components were damaged it couldn't handle the processing

Fun fact: One head of twin cities control the legs while the other head controls the arms. It’s pretty smart if you think about it. They can look both ways and tell each other what’s coming to them and one will have to make a move while the other guy can’t. This even prevents them from multitasking so that way it’s much easier.
there is enough lore for a second part and they did cut off the movie in hopes of giving us a part two cause never explained what happens and what the characters are doing after@@BeniRey32
So Atom can’t hear Charlie shouting commands at him but then as soon as Charlie makes a plan Atom suddenly decides to listen to him and get out of the corner and cover up. How to deafest a world class robot - hit it in the torso
Well taking atom down isn't easy as he's a sparing bot, meant to take hits better than any bot since he made out of pure metal while other uses carbon fiver or hardened plastic
what I realized when watching twin cites fight: 1. does not block 2. only attacks 3. does not care to defend when atom punches him what a funny wacky character
I’ve got to say, twin cities design can be useful for military purposes, one head will lock on to the target, and the other head will be wary for incoming danger
It is probably best for room to room clearing. One head looking at targets and the other in case of something in the back. Another comment mentioned the heads control a part of the body (1 for the arm 1 for the legs) so that also helps
Not only is this movie great, the soundtrack in this scene is great, starting with a very industrial theme with themes of the main song coming through, more and more until it takes over with a triumphant finish. Almost like the fight...

Twin Cities : *Punches Atom Alot* Victory!!!
Atom : Are You Sure About That? *Does an Uppercut*
this movie is a core part of my childhood, I come back today with a smile
Dang The Screen is Clear
BrickLogoCraftsHD Official site is not a problem with this new version of this movie
8oooo
This movie was my child hood even today
Read today that there’s a Real Steel series coming out and just had to come here to look up some of the amazing fights from the movie. So stoked!
I’m not getting stoked until cameras start rolling. But I’ve wanted more of Atom since 2011
2:56 best part of the fight just me
My brother watched this movie nearly 300 times when he was a child that he could recite every scene and dialogue from it then lol
3:17 Me losing to the easiest game of all time
Plus I think the operators for twin cities are fighter gamers but they didn't expect Charlie's expertise when it comes to actual boxing🤣
Fun fact: One head of twin cities control the legs while the other head controls the arms. It’s pretty smart if you think about it. They can look both ways and tell each other what’s coming to them and one will have to make a move while the other guy can’t. This even prevents them from multitasking so that way it’s much easier.
Thanks for the fact. It's pretty interesting.
That makes since

Anyone else a really strange tingling feeling whenever it cuts to the woman saying the combo?
why do the good movies that actually deserve a sequel never get one?
Fr man, supposedly a sequel is in the works. I'm really hoping for it
there is enough lore for a second part and they did cut off the movie in hopes of giving us a part two cause never explained what happens and what the characters are doing after@@BeniRey32
This movie will always be amazing
So happy that this licence is getting a disney + serie
What?
@@endless_fox1462 A real steel serie is currently in production for disney +
@@zizormusic5186 where did you hear that from?! Because I wanna see and it sounds awesome
I like the sound of metal striking metal.
Imagine leaving your nephew with his deadbeat dad for the summer and then hearing that they won a big league WRB fight a couple of weeks later.
I love how atom punch twin cities "satisfying"
I have so many good childhood memories watching this movie.
Love how the guys controlling Twin Cities were acting like pro gamers who ultimately wanted to rage quit once they realized they lost the match.
So Atom can’t hear Charlie shouting commands at him but then as soon as Charlie makes a plan Atom suddenly decides to listen to him and get out of the corner and cover up.
How to deafest a world class robot - hit it in the torso
Atom couldn't hear charlies commands because twin cites kept on hitting him which cancels his command
@@aperson5466 fair enough you got me beat
Atom couldnt find an opportunity to follow Charlie's commands because Twin Cities attacks are too quick.
Well, the torso is where most of the robots had their power cores and/or cpus, so a direct hit to that, and fight won
Well taking atom down isn't easy as he's a sparing bot, meant to take hits better than any bot since he made out of pure metal while other uses carbon fiver or hardened plastic
I want this to happen in the future.
According to the setting, it should’ve happened this year. But, we got quarantine instead...
Well not in 2020 unfortunately
@@Alliz2005 what is this true?
@@Sunnyislive25498 unfortunately, no.
Lol idk why this movie makes me so emotional. Good shit man. 💯💯
This was my favorite movie back then.
They need a VR version of this game
0:52-0:55 I love this part
what I realized when watching twin cites fight:
1. does not block
2. only attacks
3. does not care to defend when atom punches him
what a funny wacky character
1:09 doesnt block you say?
@@Ch4z_ oops, I mean after that
“He has a tell in his right shoulder”. While literally yelling everything atom is going to do
Quite a long time since last time i watched this movie, still as good as i remember, definitly need to rewatch it again
I’ve rewatched it twice in 2020.
3:36 Kids these Days XDD
Not only is this movie great, the soundtrack in this scene is great, starting with a very industrial theme with themes of the main song coming through, more and more until it takes over with a triumphant finish. Almost like the fight...
Charlie: says right uppercut, does a left uppercut
If u see that clip carefully he does it with right
Nvm
That was his right tho-
