    aFor me, the ideas in czcams.com/users/postUgkxAfqpMLyFn37qcqUl0FAzqkkycQeXqrhP Plans were a starting point for building different sheds . Ryan gives ideas that allow an individual to draw nicest conclusions into the design and building of his or her own shed.

    I bought this shed last September. I'm by myself; 61 year old woman in good health.
    The wind has postponed me putting up at least the walls... until I can get someone to help me with the roof panels.
    I have all the walls up and now all I need to do for support, is put up the truss at least.
    The truss per instructions, is all built before the walls go up. Since it's just me, couldn't I slide down the side brackets into the slot on the wall by itself, screw the truss legs together with the bracket and then I could attach it all together that way?
    First btw, I'd put the center beam from front to back and then guide the truss legs over the ridge beam. Lastly attaching the 2 thin truss cross beams? Point is raising that whole truss assembly up and then evenly before sliding down or however it goes...seems it would be heavy amd Id have to keep going from one side to yhe other to get it in the formed area it goes?
    Thanks for doing your video.. it's helped that you mentioned the wind. How's yours holding up?

      That is awesome! Hope it continues to hold up for you. I am already having some issues myself. Not sure if it was made a little different at that time or not. The seems where mine comes together are coming apart. The plastic screws don’t seem to be holding up. I had to tap the walls back together and use a sealant to hold them.

      I feel like it used to be. Over the years the quality has declined and gotten worse since bought by Stanley. Just my opinion though.

    the accessories are for the Versatrack system; it doesn't list them at Lowe's AND you need a $60 bar set to mount on the wall to USE the versatrack system and add a pegboard to the wall

    i spread all the parts out they are clearly labeled, didn't use directions, i had a tough spot where i put it and started with the left rear because of assesilbility . wrong, i looked at the key ways and and saw that it needed to start from front left corner so i began there. which made the rear left (in my situation) really difficult. but after that it was a breeze panels snapped together like legos, got to the roof and noticed it was missing the ridge and the brackets, with rain threatening i made some brackets and cut down a 2x4 to use. installed the roof all in all took about an hour and a half to put together even making my own brackets and ridge. not a bad shed, i think its a little pricey for what it is, but what do i know

    • @joshdoesreefing7241
      @joshdoesreefing7241  Před 3 lety

      Yeah, not sure how it will hold up in really high wind. I have it anchored down and have had some strong winds. The panels started separating and had to use some liquid nails to keep it together.

    Do your doors close smoothly? I just put one together, went together easily. My main door does not close smoothly, have to lift and jiggle to get it to close correctly.

      Your foundation could not be totally square so it might not sit right so it may not want to close real smooth.

    What a well-done video. Raw and to the point. We took a look at this model at our local Lowe's today, it was nice but did seem cheaply made with tons of areas for water entry. We'll probably NOT be going with this model.

    • @joshdoesreefing7241
      @joshdoesreefing7241  Před 4 lety +1

      Thanks for watching and the comment
      It is cheaply made and if I needed to store something that had to stay dry or was important, I would not use it. When we have thunderstorms, the wind has already made the walls pull out of the bottom channels. Also gets a little water inside. But, works fine for pool floats. I putt the bottom back in and used liquid nails. Will see if that works. Thanks again!

    • @joshdoesreefing7241
      @joshdoesreefing7241  Před 4 lety

      That is actually what I have done. Probably several ways you can fix the little issues with it.
      Over all, it’s not a bad building and works for keeping pool floats and things. I just wouldn’t store anything critical/valuable in it.

    There is one of these sheds on my place already but it was not installed properly. I want to build a deck to put it on to make it more stable. Do you know if the shed could be moved a very short distance without de-assembling it?

    • @joshdoesreefing7241
      @joshdoesreefing7241  Před 3 lety

  • @renniefisher3880
    @renniefisher3880 Před 3 lety +1

    You’re 100% correct on the quality and irregularities..
    & It had the Worst directions ever.. It COULD be Great.. but, it is sadistically Inferior..
    The walls are the worst part of it.. with short little plastic screws that
    barely connect it.. and it’s worst if the foundation is not perfectly square..
    I’m thinking about getting some huge bolts and replacing many of the wall screws..
    I was embarrassed for Craftsman for designing what seemed intentional pos
    construction for whatever reason.. BUT, IT IS INFERIOR mainly
    BECAUSE OF THE DESIGN.
    Appreciated your honest video..
    I would Buy a Real Wood shed after this experience..
    And would buy Harbor Freight before Craftsman..ever again.
    Disgusted.

    a total pos . was kinda ok until the roof. how they expect a 3/8 chanel to overlap into a 3/8 channel is beyond me . i also had to cut off a tab on the rear gable panel. all lettered right but no tab hole in the roof cap. i wish i had gone with a metal shed. i notice none of these videos show the roof overlap.

    I bought one too. Assembled it last weekend. SUCH A PIECE Of PLASTIC SHIT!
    Shame on you Lowe’s for even selling it! A $300 shed selling for $800!
    The floor is cheap as hell! Soft and cheap plastic!

    • @joshdoesreefing7241
      @joshdoesreefing7241  Před 3 lety

      Yeah, I wouldn’t trust keeping anything other than pool floats in mine.
      Not sure why, but the walls are pulling apart on mine now. It stinks that the only thing holding them together are threaded plastic plugs. I hammered them back together and used some liquid nails. Hope it holds.
      The gaps at the roof are now bigger as well. I am sure wasp will start nesting inside it at some point.
      This building should have been designed/made a little better for sure.

      @joshdoesreefing7241  Před 3 lety +1

      I don’t really check it in the winter. To be honest I am not sure if it can be stopped. I assume it can by caulking all seems/crevices. But I couldn’t say for sure. I only store pool floats and stuff that is meant for water inside it. So I am not concerned with sealing mine up. I just notice that when we have heavy rain and I walk in it the next day, it has water in it.
