If you say 'jambo' in Tanzania to mean 'hello' we're gonna know that you're not a native swahili speaker and you're still learning Swahili. We normally say 'hujambo' to mean hello. And we don't say 'bei ya hii ni nini' we say 'hii ni bei gani'

I just realized that Swahili has a lot of Arabic influences for the language! I am pleasantly shocked and hopeful I can learn the language with a little bit of ease speaking Arabic as a first language!

Tafadhali in Arabic means “here you are” in a polite way or “welcome” to let someone get in a certain place and it said in a polite way for females , “Tafadhal” said for males

You're right hujambo is singular and hamujambo is plural. Jambo is shortened hujambo by tourist and who swahili isn't they first language like this lady who is teaching.
