- The 2023 Kia Sportage Hybrid SX Prestige AWD is a compact crossover that sits between the Seltos and the 3-row Sorento in Kia's lineup. It is the fifth generation of the Sportage and comes in both regular gas-powered and hybrid variants. In this review, the focus is on the hybrid variant.
The exterior of the Sportage Hybrid SX Prestige AWD features a Shadow Matte Gray paint, LED projector headlamps and fog lights, satin chrome window surround, gloss black wheel arch molding and side sill molding, low-profile gloss black roof rails, and 18-inch matte gray alloy wheels. LED rear combination tail lights complete the look. The dimensions of the Sportage include a length of 183.5 inches, a wheelbase of 108.5 inches, a width of 73.4 inches, a height of 65.4 inches, and ground clearance of 7.1 inches for FWD and 8.3 inches for AWD.
The trunk offers a smart power tailgate that opens automatically when standing behind the vehicle with the Smart Key. The Sportage provides best-in-class cargo space with up to 39.5 cu. ft. of storage space, which expands to 73.7 cu. ft. when the second row is folded down.
The hybrid variant of the Sportage is powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine and a full parallel hybrid system, delivering 227 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque. It has a combined fuel efficiency rating of 38 mpg and comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The Sportage Hybrid SX Prestige AWD comes with standard all-wheel drive and offers four drive modes. It has 8.3 inches of ground clearance.
Inside the Sportage, notable features include Harman Kardon® Premium Audio with 400 Watts and 8 speakers, a heated front windshield to prevent ice or snow buildup, and a 12.3-inch dual panoramic display. The vehicle also offers advanced technology features such as a blind-spot view monitor, remote smart parking assist, and a 360 surround view monitor.
The Sportage Hybrid SX Prestige AWD starts at $36,390, with the review vehicle having a full MSRP of $38,530. The Sportage is praised for its style, technology-packed interior, and solid lineup of powertrain options. Whether choosing the gas-powered X-Line or the hybrid variant, the Sportage offers a compelling option in the compact crossover market, competing with other great vehicles in the segment.

Syntex seating material is not Leather, as per window sticker. Though desirable heated wheel is premium leather.
Seats & center armrest are more durable & with cooling & heating on seats, are just as comfortable.

What camera and lens did you film with?
I actually change it up a lot but mostly use a Canon system and have a 100-400mm lens, a 50mm prime, and a 16mm prime for all the interior shots.
Those "grab handles" are actually an area where you could put a bag or purse, or hang a jacket on it.

I changed my order from the gas version to the hybrid based on the very positive reviews and boost in power, torque and fuel economy. Unfortunately, the delivery time is forever! But I have my Seltos in the meantime.
