Not autumn yet for sure but some relief in western Montana. Most fires controlled or out, hoot owl lifted on some streams. Lightening struck house in Bitterroot south of Missoula monday evening. Total loss.
It was 95 degrees, windy yesterday & last evening before sun down saw that large cloud of smoke from the fires in Canada drifting overhead from West to East. This morning it is 80 degrees & windy...but sunny here NE of Oroville, WA at 9:50 am
Thank you, Michael! "Noodles" lmao, that's what my next door neighbor calls me because I'm so crazy (in a good way) about the weather! She contacts me all the time to find out what the forecast will be, she doesn't trust other weather reporters anymore, just mine, thanks to you being so accurate with your reports! Have a wonderful day everyone, stay cool😎keep safe, and will catch you in the next one! Lovin these videos! 😃
“Mike Mike Mike Mike Mike, it’s hump day!” lol 😅 It’s a wonderfully cooler day today and it’s my Friday then I get a vacation! Beautiful weather today though 💯👍🏼😎 have a great day and again, thank you for the thorough weather forecast you gift us with…
Thanx Michael this smoke is trying to kill me bad asthma attack a couple of nites ago and I haven t even been outside our apt front doors stay open a while with people coming and going have a blessed day
Alot of comments about heat. It has not been that warm at Friday Harbor this summer. Very hazy today n light wind. To all, Have a great day. Thank you Michael
I am going to use that spaghetti model on my wife, so she can see how things may go when she plans out my chores in my future 😊 Or how she interprets how things should work out!
Hey, Boss, it seems everyone gets all excited about thunderstorms with lightning flash density parameters increasing here. But the only thing I miss about Texas was their thunderstorms and tornado set up with the dry lines. Those were thunderstorms to write home about. Everything here has been small change. ❤❤❤
I drove through a thunderstorm while driving across the Fraser Canyon and Thompson River region across Central BC. It was cool nice to see the rain but it came down heavy. I’ve noticed that while there’s less total rain during the summer it comes down hard, it pours.
Will be interesting to see if any of that low pressure next week will develop into some rain. I know this time of year its least likely to happen so im staying pesimostic for now lol. At least temps will be lower next week 🎉

There are people that dedicate their lives to this research and I listen to them. I'll probably do a video on it at some point. But lots of people won't like what the experts say on the subject.
@@PacificNorthwestWeather that would be Great! And it would help close in some of the differences that stall any progress on other issues. It's hot as all get out here in Southern Oregon east Cascade hills. Moved from west Texas in 2019 to get out of the heat😅,, seems like it followed me here.
Good question, it also seems like the smoke traps in the heat at night or slows down the cooling, though perhaps I'm just mistaken about that. Hope Michael does a Q&A some day, it'd be fun to get answers about PNW weather or general weather questions from an expert that really does a great job of explaining the weather to us regular folks.
@@JohnB-nr4qk Sorry, yeah, I meant for just night time. I don't sleep well when it's warm and when it's warm and smoky outside it's even worse for me as I cannot cool the house down.
It's been a hot summer. Looking forward to autumn rains putting the fires out.
Yes. I so much prefer Autumn and Winter. Summer sucks.
100 % 👍🏻@@SeptemberMeadows

@@PacificNorthwestWeather Oh! Forgetting my mannures along with other things. Thanks Michael.
How much of an effect can smoke play on temps, based on recent "smoke season" events? It is supposed to be 90 in Portland but at noon it is only 73.
Over here in Spokane,a heavy smoke cover ( you can't see the sun)usually will suppress max temps around 10 degrees below forecasted levels.

@mleii1169 That's true also about nighttime temps, but I don't think as much as in the daytime, according to my observations.
