2l anything is nice but it's been done to death. Vr6 is lekker but expensive. 1.8t is different and will pull nice in the YT I think. Will also be good on petrol.

Just do disc break for the caddy at the back
It is not recommended to do so on mk1's. The drum setup is perfect in the rear

But y cut da spring,isn’t that unsafe? Y not get lowered springs or coils and they not expensive new or second hand
They are unsafe until a certaim extend. Cutting the springs due to we can use money spend elsewhere on the Caddy to get it on the road

Guys when I was looking at lowering my caddy I came across a blog where a guy fliped the middle leaf in the rear aparently eventually flattens out and brings the van down abit. Haven't tried it but it's worth a bit more research if you workin with a tight budget atm.
