  • What better outdoor workout on a lovely spring day, then one of my 'Crown Tabatas'. When gearing up for Crown or other major tournament, I have two of these routines, for a total of 16 different techniques, and I'll repeat each one once, for 4 sets total.
    It only takes about 20 minutes, assuming (very optimistically) I don't dick around on my phone for too long between sets, but is a great way to get into tourney fighting mode.
    As always I'm doing these at greatly reduced speed and power, focusing instead on crispness, fluidity and precision. Then come tourney time, I mentally push the Murder Button, and ramp up to full speed.
