- In this Video I demo the Dremel Plunge Router and show you how it works. I test out bits 615 and 654 and make some edge routing jobs on the inside of a circle and in the edge of a piece of 3/4 Inch MDF. I demonstrate the straight edge guide and route a groove and show how the circle guide works.

Nice to see a video on this product that brings some safety information to start with, safety should be a common sense issue but it's often ignored 👍🏻
Helpful! Thank you.
Thank you for watching, appriciate it!
I've looked around, but one piece of info that's surprisingly hard to find is the minimum radius for circle cutting. I saw 3-3.5" at a review site, but that was not very helpful since for my project 3.5" is just a bit too big. Anyone know more exactly?
Thanks
Hi. Can this plunge fit on non dremel die grinder?.
Thanks for showing what this tool can do. During your demonstration of cutting the groove you went from edge to edge like you might do with a fixed base router. Is it possible to start at any part of the surface of the wood and "plunge" into the wood to make a groove with a start and stop point without starting from the edge of the wood?
Hi Nathan, thanks for watching. I haven't used it that way so can't comment on it unfortunately. Sorry can't be of more help, let me know if you find anything out and thanks again for watching!
Sure it's possible. Fix the depth, then lift up the dremel. Keep the base firmly on the spot then go down. Better to put stops on the piece so your cut can't go beyond the marks.
Anyone know if this fit ryobi R18RT-0?
omg go to the point
Nice vid. This plunger not a good choice for inlay because without a break opening in the base
Great! This was the perfect explainer video for this product.
Thanks for watching, I am glad you liked the video!
Need to show how to set up the gauge for each cut.
Does it fit dremel 8220?
Hi and thanks for watching, I appreciate it! You can verify what Dremel models this attachment fits by visiting the Dremel website. It will tell you what models work with this attachment. Thanks again for watching!
Mine does
And the difference between this and the black router?
Hi Sir Kay, thanks for watching! This is the best router attachment Dremel makes in my opinion.
Okay guys......a voice for silent movies!
It looks really flimsy and has a lot of slack or movement in it? How rigid is it?
Thanks for watching, in my opinion it seems well built for what it is and how much it cost. Good luck if you decide to get it.
is this base compatible with other rototools?
Not the one I bought
Sorry, reading error. not sure
3:45 edging around the rim is an inside job? Srry lol.
You’d shudder to see me welding in shorts and tank top and flip flops.
Thanks for watching! Yes that would make me nervous. Make sure to be safe and wear the proper safety equipment!
That's just plain ignorant!!!!! One serious burn you WILL learn your leason.
Stupid comment 🤔
Feeling is that this whole router attachment lacks the stiffness needed to do precise work :-(
Vid starts at 4:31 the rest is for children.
Ah, you need to ah, used ah, so much ah, the ah.
Never wear gloves when using rotating equipment!!
I don't doubt that there is some good info here and I could probably watch this video if every instance of: ".. go ahead and..." was edited out. You're not alone in this Todd but please? I managed 5 minutes.
