  • In this Video I demo the Dremel Plunge Router and show you how it works. I test out bits 615 and 654 and make some edge routing jobs on the inside of a circle and in the edge of a piece of 3/4 Inch MDF. I demonstrate the straight edge guide and route a groove and show how the circle guide works.

Nice to see a video on this product that brings some safety information to start with, safety should be a common sense issue but it's often ignored 👍🏻

I've looked around, but one piece of info that's surprisingly hard to find is the minimum radius for circle cutting. I saw 3-3.5" at a review site, but that was not very helpful since for my project 3.5" is just a bit too big. Anyone know more exactly?

Hi. Can this plunge fit on non dremel die grinder?.

  • @McBicbic

Thanks for showing what this tool can do. During your demonstration of cutting the groove you went from edge to edge like you might do with a fixed base router. Is it possible to start at any part of the surface of the wood and "plunge" into the wood to make a groove with a start and stop point without starting from the edge of the wood?

Hi Nathan, thanks for watching. I haven't used it that way so can't comment on it unfortunately. Sorry can't be of more help, let me know if you find anything out and thanks again for watching!

Sure it's possible. Fix the depth, then lift up the dremel. Keep the base firmly on the spot then go down. Better to put stops on the piece so your cut can't go beyond the marks.
