He specifies printed by wizards, IIRC secret lair is a separate entity. (Correct me if I’m wrong)
The Secret Lairs are developed and printed by WotC, they are only sold and distributed by another company.

Secret lair basic lands are technically an alternate art. A basic land has no text, the text on those lands is essentially artistic

@@jordantiburcio4541 Just on a first pass, the new Braids' Frightful Return clocks in at 456 characters (including name and type line, excluding mana costs and text on the frame). This beats Thoracle's 450 characters. The reminder text of Read Ahead gives it an edge over other sagas which fall short of Thoracle, like Firja's Retribution and Elspeth Conquers Death.

That's incredible. Cardmarket's editors must have just googled "magic card back" and used a _fake_ one that was being shopped around back when the concept of purple being added as a real Magic color was big. I forget if this was fanmade (likely) or a Wizards mockup for an article (less likely), but I can confirm that is a fake card back and the proper card has a regular Magic back (until double-faced cards, the card back was sacrosanct and literally could not be messed with at all after it was decided that every Magic set would have a single, unified card back).
What about infinite elemental? Infinite flavour text
What about cards that have text that are not on the card but are still needed to make the card function beyond the rules text? Like Urza, Academy Headmaster and the alchemy online-exclusive cards.
Also on the topic of wordy cards, you should check out Odric, Flippy Flappy Tactician, a meme card that executes this concept well.

Some of the most BUSTED cards ever printed have relatively small effects,
(Like painful choice , graceful charity , half the zoodiac archetype , and more obviously, pot of greed with a grand total of three words and it's never getting unbanned in any none joke format .
What about one-sided card that is not from an un-set?

Funny. I am putting Alexander Clamilton into my sideboard for my Unfinity Space Family Goblinson Commander deck, with Riku as current commander... so these cards are very helpful for me to know.

@@AJKiesel QB isn't actually that wordy, it's just that none of the abilities are linked to each other, or intuitive in any way.
Whereas a wordier card like soul separator may use a lot more words, but you can 'get' it.

Davriel, soul broker has a bunch of text, it's just not on the card
Bureaucracy says the new action can't jeopardize the health or safety of said player. It makes no mention of other players. Punching the player to your left would satisfy this condition and give you a full set of turns before you needed to disenchant it.
Oh, so the last one is basically a modern Yugioh card. Nice to know.

I did compare oracle text, rather than printed text iirc, so Ice Cauldron might've missed out a bit because of it.

Those are alternate art cards. Actual basics have no text, in those special-release lands, the text is really just the art.
