    Most Hydrogen is not green, it comes from fossil fuels. The cost per Kg is over $30 in California, where most of the hydrogen fuel stations are. That is about $.40 / mile.

    Company that can't even make a decent EV, make sound proffing of any sort in their cars, anti-rust proofing, use something better in the interior than cheapest plastics and piano black thinks they can end a trend... good laugh.

    Great. Now all we need is large scale production of H2 without emitting too much CO2 and a refuelling network. Quite far from both.

    So all the fueling/fuel production issues as with the Mirai, but with maybe half the efficiency (at best). Sign me up!! /s

    I have not seen a Hydrogen refueling station no ware in a 200 mile circumference in Montreal. I do not believe it would work out here. Not against it but....

    Hydrogen powered vehicles are the way forward. EVs are a bad idea all round and they will end up being just a passing fad.

      Just to give you the real world numbers, Toyota has been selling the Mirai for almost 10 years. As of November 2022, global sales totaled 21,475 units. In 2023 Tesla sold than many cars in 4.3 days, so lets call it 1 week.
      This isn't even a race.

      EV fanatics will not admit it but electric is not the way to go havent you seen how many manufacturers are making a 180
      Degree turn and switching to hybrids electrics are a fantasy pushed by democrats the same as diversity equity and gay being shoved down peoples throat alongside with EV 🤣

    It could be cheaper than using an ev so why not

    • @zoransarin5411
      @zoransarin5411 Před 24 dny +4

      No. What they don't tell you is that the cost to make the hydrogen, transport it etc means it will be more costly than fuel. And it is the same efficiency, that is around 25%, compared to well over 80% for an EV. Hydrogen was espoused by the oil and gas industry to counter EVs. The vast majority of hydrogen is made using methane gas reforming. Even if the hydrogen can be made sustainably, it's inefficiency loses out. One study ran the figures for how far 4 cars went on 100kWhr of electricity. The Model 3 did 459km. The Model S does 405km. The Toyota Mirai does 173km and the BMW Hydrogen 7 does a mere 46km. Basically, of the 100kWhr of electricity generated, 85kWhr gets into the EV. Only 57kWhr gets into the 2 hydrogen cars. Their inefficiency then further reduces their travel distance.
      There is a very good reason why Toyota has sold about 12,000 Mirais in total in the last 10 years whereas Tesla sold that many EVs every 3 days last year. EVs are cheaper to buy and cheaper to run and unfortunately as good as hydrogen sounds, it cannot compete.

      Complicated and expensive fuel. EV is simple and it’s too late for hydrogen. Just look at the infrastructure.
