    In this example of creating a funeral program / obituary design, its a trifolded design as opposed to a single folded 'book style' obituary. I used size 12x18 at 150 resolution. Typically I use 300 resolution for printing purposes, but at least 150 resolution is whats recommended. This is the usually the largest commercial printing paper size in the United States for projects such as these. Once folded, the obituary's finished size is 12x6, or more or less depending on if you used the same paper size as me. I'm not sure what size would be appropriate for other countries, the units are different! Leave questions/comments below. RIP Kobe Bryant!

      from the rulers on the sides of the document. Press CMD+R or Ctrl+R to bring them up if you don't see them.

    Hi, what printer would you suggest to print borderless programs/obituaries?

    • @MylesHiArt
      @MylesHiArt  Před 4 lety

      sorry for the SUPER late response, but i typically use commercial printers. theres no printer that prints all the way to to the edge as far as i know. After printing them out, the process is usually to trim the edges with a cutter.

    What app or source are you using to create the obituary? I am thinking about getting into the business of making obituaries so I want to know what I need.

    What type of photo paper you print the obituary on?

    • @MylesHiArt
      @MylesHiArt  Před 2 lety

      just try different types out til you get the one you prefer the most, theres no one right answer. Some people want to pay for more expensive paper, some want a gloss, some dont, and others just go budget friendly. it all depends on the amount needed and what's affordable. The paper would have to be at least size 11x17 though, because thats the size of the document.

    • @MylesHiArt

      @@MylesHiArt Do you have videos to show how you put together the tri-fold inside and outside? I do not think I have seen a try-fold obituary with more than one page. Or is this actually just printed double sided?

    • @MylesHiArt
      @MylesHiArt  Před 2 lety

       @Kim Alston From what I've seen, trifolds are always just one page [front and back]. U design two files of the same size, and then save them together as a .PDF. Then you take that .PDF file to your printer and tell them you want a duplex print. This video is just of the design process. I made another video where it explains how to save multiple files together as a PDF right here czcams.com/video/Ped-8OzDUjc/video.html

    How would you print this out

    • @MylesHiArt
      @MylesHiArt  Před 3 lety

      on 11x17 paper. If the printer can't print 'duplex' then print one side out, turn it around, and then print on the other side. Type of paper I'd use would either be a matte card stock (thick paper, no gloss) or 100lb gloss (like magazine pages)
