I'll admit that I kind of dismissed this video at first, because hearing you explain the concept of whiff punishing made me feel like I wasn't the target demographic, but I'd like to think I'm capable of slightly more humility than that. So, I came back.
There's a lot here about what moves can actually combo into each other, especially when it comes to which normals. I *probably* could have figured those out in training mode myself, but I'm glad I don't strictly have to, now.
I will say there does seem to be one aspect of Jason you either may not have noticed or maybe didn't deem relevant; after using his neutral special to install, he can press the button again to do a small aoe attack. Like a scream. Although it may not be a great move, I'm sure if you (or I) looked into it, we could find a few routes with it.
As an aside, I feel like you should know your mic's audio is inconsistent. At around 7:30, it's really quiet, and it gets much louder around 19:00. Just thought you might want to know.

Jason resurrection perk needs a rework because its worthless especially in singles. Once he comes back you can just runaway for three seconds and he dies again. he's too slow to catch you and he comes back kind of slow too giving plenty of time for them to create space and just run away. Its a wasted slot for a perk that only lasts 3 seconds in the entire match. Doubles you might be able to do something but its still only once per game it lasts 3 seconds and now you dont have a signature anymore. Its really bad.
I would like it if Jason had a perk that allowed him to control where his teleport goes. Like at different angles.
Mainly because I'm not sure how you're supposed to get back on stage against a player who is competent at edge guarding. If anybody has any tips, that would be helpful, thanks. But I looked at his whole move kit. Everything he has is so insanely laggy. And his movement is so slow. It's nearly impossible to recover against a good player.
Also because, maybe I'm wrong here, but that teleport behind perk is 100% worthless right? It takes over a second for the teleport to finish, and it has a huge amount of end lag, so can people see that you have that perk and punish you 100% of the time, right? I could be wrong. Maybe it reduces end lag of teleport or has intangibility after the teleport is done or something. But the way it looks, it looks like it is a 1 second+ long move that puts you right next to your opponent for a free punish from them.
I use his teleport behind for whiff punishing it’s so good 😭 it scares the opponent into attacking themselves

My first impressions of playing with and against Jason is that he is kinda good. He’s slow. It’s hard to win neutral against certain characters. But in 2v2 he’s a menace and he’s really good at killing confirming and with good spacing I think he’s a competitive character. his combos and specials are good and he has better recovery and disadvantage than some medium sized characters.

While difficult to fight Jason due to all of his attack being relatively long reaching, relatively fast lunging attacks, all it takes is one good and clean read to punish Jason with a lot of damage, especially if Jason is attempting to use teleporting as movement/approach to use their lunge attacks. However, caution is more needed if Jason starts using Down Special rather than Side Special for that is the biggest and longest lunge attack they got.
And that Jason's teleport ability for some reason cannot go through past platforms. So one can camp below a platform for both safety and an easy but not exactly clean punish.

Against jason if my character has rang I usually try and punish him with a projectile instead of risking a melee attack

Good video. He's so slow in both movement and attack start up. All you have to do is pressure his ass and just dodge his first throw. He's a big punching bag. His attack priority is so mediocre even if he does manage to get his weapon out. I'm thinking more of a low b possibly c tier character. I do find his play style fun though. I'm hoping he gets a little more speed in trade for a little less damage

Yo Nakat, do you think the changes to Marvin put him in a better place. I’ve notice he only has like 4-5 cool downs now instead of them being on like all his moves. His cool downs seemed lowered too. They come neck much faster now! His down Normal attack is so much better too.
He was my main in beta and I’m still loving him. He’s very fun.

I’m quite good at multiversus playing characters like gizmo, Tom, black Adam, joker but a character like Jason I feel like I’m getting seriously punished while playing Jason, from like 0 - 80

Jason suffers from new character syndrome. He's new, free for most players, and youtubers are saying he's broken based on nothing but day 1 gimmicks. It's giving me king k rool flashbacks.
I've always been of the opinion that in a month or 2 nobody will be playing him nd he'll have fallen off because he can't keep up with what other characters can do. People just need a bit of time to learn how to play, and fully utilize mechanics like dodging and parry.
He will still be decent bro he has a solid moveset and he can 0 to death people and get a lot of early kills. He just won’t be like a banana man tier
