@@ImAviex better than not having the option at all. The MV experience the first week of release wasn't great for me either. I have 1 gig fiber internet, wired connection, and every 2-3 matches I was getting desyncs and disconnection. Smash wasn't perfect on release and neither was MV
I appreciate the games, nakat being able to learn from a player who has a lot of experience on their belt, is definitely a learn curve for sure. Look forward to playing more games and learning from you

I feel like playing waiting for the enemy to attack is pretty easy… but it fells like you’re running away a lot of the time and I don’t like it. And when someone plays like that against me I have a lot of trouble getting in on them or even catching them if they keep running.
And if we both play in that super passive neutral effective way the games are just way too boring… I’m still trying to figure it out
If someone is always going to backstep, you don’t try to hit them where they currently are, you overextend to hit them where they are going to be backstepping or dodging to
Arya has to play like that against some matchups because she is one of the lightest characters. She gets killed at like 40 sometimes.
Sounds like you might have an "on/off" mindset for how to play neutral i.e. "either I move defensively to bait and punish or I approach aggressively with a hitbox". It's not bad necessarily, but thatindset is limiting and can make you very predictable against someone more experienced. Someone already mentioned the concept of overshooting, which means attacking where your opponent will be, not where they currently are. This is a good aggressive counter against someone who's using movement to try and bait and punish you. Another option is to use your movement aggressively without committing to an attack. This means walking up to your opponent and weaving juuust outside your opponent's range to bait them into trying to hit you. This is another way you can break a stalemate in neutral when both of you are moving defensively.
Try to learn what a player does tho like throw attacks here and there to see what they do and sometimes walk up to them and attack behind you alot of the times they dodge into it

Hey Nakat, i have a question regarding the dash attacks. I think they are a great addition to the game, pretty much every character benefits from there existence, but the one thing I find kind of annoying is that you kind of can't really run up jab anymore because of the way the input works. Do you think that is an intentional part of the design, because run up jab is too strong? Otherwise I feel like an optional "advanced running attack" setting (that would be off by default) where you had to double tap forward to get the running attack even if your character was already running would be kind of sick, it would be a way to give advanced players more control over their character while still locking the really powerful run moves behind a few extra frames of execution, as opposed to something like just giving the run attack is own optional bind which might be too strong.

I use skywalker perk for Arya I feel like its alot of work to kill tanks etc without it. With the perk its gurnated kills around 60 and higher, Nakat what perks you run for Arya ?
The Skywalker perk is for sure a perk that takes skill to use but me personally I use the stealing a move when you ring out ur opponent then snowball effect, speed boost, and then pugilist and it’s helped me so far

Anyone who played in the beta actually thought she wasn't viable now? I still remember being touched once and getting combod worse than any other character has ever done it. I may still have a bit of ptsd but in my eyes she is definitely still disgusting, even if she is nerfed.

fighting game newb learning multiversus and youre fking nuts dude. Question, would you say this is a good game for someone interested in learning fighting games? ive tried a couple others and the skill gap was just too insane
Yeah I'd say this is a great intro to fighting games for a few reasons:
1. The actual speed of gameplay is slower than most others (more time to react and learn fundamentals)
2. A lot of top players put a lot of time into beta but being newer overall means you aren't fighting anyone with 20+ years of experience on their main (like SF, Tekken, or Smash)
3. The cast of characters is fairly small so far so you can more quickly learn all the matchups.

Nakat, can we see you play with Garnet, just to see what her hidden potential might be? Even if you don’t find the most saucy combos or what may have it, it’ll still be very fresh and dope to see and under represented character getting the spotlight for a change
Garnet has some potential, she has some crazy horizontal combos with her jab and side special, the thing that feels clunky and weird to me about her is that her specials kinda suck but the moves she does when her specials are on cooldown are good, like i can live without her little finger gun thing if she just had the clap. The clap is a really nice kill confirm off of a jab. Also the lunging attack with her side special when her gloves are on cooldown is really good for knocking people off stage, because you can use it to string multiple jabs together.
