    Doing the cantilever all round will also serve as a shade and raid cover for the doors ans Windows downstairs. And the extended sides of using the cantilever can be added to the rooms by having the walls all along the Cantilever.

    Hi
    I thought they were meant to do the lintel and put 2 or 3 courses of blocks on top of the lintel before doing the wood work for the concrete slab above. So that you could get a high roof because what they have done now is going to cause you a low roof and if you mount any ceiling fan it will be too low.

      The ceiling is 9’6” which is plenty room for apartments. If it’s my permanent home then I will have higher ceilings.

    Be careful about changing the architectural plans on the 1st floor since it needs to be structurally sound. Check with a structural engineer first before changing from a 2 bedroom apartment to 2 one bedroom apartments.

    • @kinzababe1
      @kinzababe1  Před 9 dny +1

      No I am not changing the size of the plan just the position. The bedroom to living room, living room to bedroom. Instead of having 2 bedrooms rooms on one side.

    10:03 exactly, you don't like it all the way to the top flat and even, but better having the top much extended above the walls of the ground floor. For the top level, si the top level as i have previously e plained can be best extended all round amd also to cover tye top of the outside toilet. All the sides can be extended with a cantilever so let the carpenter know so that he can do the forms for the cantilever for the above level

    I strongly advise people with sound mind to construct the road in their areas to beautify the place. The government is slow

    • @kinzababe1
      @kinzababe1  Před 6 dny

      Yes! However you have to understand how people earn their living wages. They build as they earn and mortgage is not a thing here. So they try their hardest to maintain the roads they have.

  • @nanabrimpong3485

    Kinza please let them raise the side of the fence where the toilet is all the way up including the front side of the toilet and add that space above to the roof.
    Also the carpenter can create a cantilever along the entire back for upstairs to get more spacious and wide above and the steel benders will put the repar to setup before the pour the concrete slab.
    In this case as you intend to split the rooms both rooms have to have their own toilet and can share the kitchen and living room for your future airbnb as you plan.
    The cantilever is an extension of your floor space and they can do it all round the entire building including both front and back and the sides. So this will widen and make the floor space upstairs more bigger for you.

    • @kinzababe1
      @kinzababe1  Před 9 dny +1

      Yes they are doing a cantilever all around the building.

    • @nanabrimpong3485
      @nanabrimpong3485 Před 9 dny +2

      @@kinzababe1 i saw it towards the end but it looked a bit short or tight. Tbey could have made it wider or longer, because there would be supporting beams connecting the main pillars of the bottom. If he had cut the wood a bit longer dor tbe cantilever forms would be nice.
      Is the toilet side covered by the top level also because that would be good and add more space to the rooms, will be good to have balcony for both rooms if you wish.

    • @kinzababe1
      @kinzababe1  Před 9 dny +1

      the one pillar that was made for the wall doesn’t have steel and we are going up another level so we don’t want to compromise the structural integrity.

    • @nanabrimpong3485
      @nanabrimpong3485 Před 9 dny +1

      @@kinzababe1 i get your point in that case you can create a support pillar that will be in that corner amd attached to wall with rebars/iron rods and run it all the way up in that corner as a reinforcement pillar thay will give it full support. And they can link as cross beam between the new reinforcement pillar and the corner pillar of the ground floor going up for the building. The steel bender will do all these reinforcements for you and it will give it full support,
      Using cantilever alone above that corner is also another way of doing it with solid rebar to create a good support beam. Because the cantilever will be connected with the pillars from the ground level and all the cross beams

  • @isaacasare2165

    If possible the neighbours in the area should come together and construct the road

    You have the right to speak your views in the country regarding its politics and economic status. Its very bad and has always been the mentality for everyone to go abroad to be successful, do you know even when an average Ghanaians goes to even a neighbouring country or anywhere else they alway get successful but its hard for people to get successful because of the challenges unless those connected or those whose parents jave laid the foundations for them to continue with. Also they see everyone coming from abroad successful and loving good. So why not them. The other thong is the embassies in Ghana and rest of Africa is delibrately refusing visa and keeping them fees enriching thier countries meanwhile a lot of them come to Ghana visa free or smoothly receive the visa yhey pay for without any hindrance. But they know they are not allowing any more visa per quota and still accept more applications way more above the visa cap just to rob people off thier money.

      This is why I was saying the young people need to get educated on how to use their voice and make the changes in their country. They also need to be educated on how to use the resources that they have and stop letting everyone else benefit from it. They have everything right on the continent they don’t have to go to the west.

      @@kinzababe1 they already are, there's a lot demonstrations and activism going on, its just that most people are alsi scared because years ago we had military governments continuously and if you talk or make any noise yiu get picked up, and even now its still happening a lot secretly, some have been mobbed by tags and die hard fans of ruling parties so it also makes people scared to step forward because they are scared to ne picked up in their homes even though they are displeased with the government. Their parents also tells them not to get involved. So yiu hear a lot if Ghanaians discussing and arguing against decision made but they are intimidated to step forward and those who step forward are no enough to even scare anyone in government, and when they go for demonstrations they don't express themselves enough, its like a meet amd greet and people there to party instead of expressing thier displeasure.

      @@kinzababe1 i think they should have done all the cantilever fully at the back before mounting the stairs structure. Because that's going to overlap or might be too close to the building which will hinder the cantilever or make it too tight a spot.
