I went to the skydeck in october and during the elevator ride down my ears were exploding.
It's an educational movie. I never knew that
not fair! i live on the 29th floor of my condominium and it takes me 60 secs to go down to the lobby! that thing does it in 5 seconds!

hahah one of my friend works in willis tower here in chicago, and he told me there is always someone on the elevator. ALWAYS so u shouldnt be worried if u got stuck in it lol
This is a very nice elevator. I would expect nicer for the Sears/Willis Tower though.
It was much nicer back when I rode that, there was no obnoxious tv screen with the loud sound, was just an elevator ride.

The last time I checked, Shindler is the company that service the elevators in the Sears Tower. They don't make, or own the elevators. When their contract expires, other companies will bid to take over service needs of the Sears Tower Elevators.

that woman should not have put her hand on the elevator doors. if the sensors were not working she would have lost a hand. you keep your hands free from the doors when riding elevators. the woman needs to watch herself. holding to the door preventing the elevator from leaving is a very foolish thing to do. if it were'nt for the sensors in the door there would possibly have been an accident. This is a really illiterate comment. Lifts don't move when doors are opened. When the doors open, the safety circuit is cut, and the brakes will not release as long as it is cut.
If you someone managed to open the doors midway, the lift will stop immediately because of cut safety circuit.
Really this will not happen even if the lift has no beam sensors or bumpers. They only move when doors are closed and safety is connected (unless the lift engineer was an idiot and wrongly setup the lift)
Richard Pearson you do not know what you are talking about. She might have been trying to hold the doors open or she might have been trying to direct people into the elevator. Think before u post.
Those things are scary. You get stuck anywhere in between 99 and ground, good luck to you!

That woman should not put her hand in the way of the elevator doors, holding it up. If the elevator doors did not have an electric eye she would have properly lost her arm

I would think, but it can be set to activate after ten seconds, or several minutes. At a building like this, I'm guessing it would be set to a long time before the elevator would go into nudging.
