- In this video we'll be taking a look at every Valyrian Steel Sword implemented in the current version of #CK3AGOT and discussing just how good they really are.
We'll cover their stats, and effectiveness in the game as a whole. I'll also include the console commands on how to spawn them here in the description.

I, myself, am partial to Euron's armor... which I do not believe is in the mod yet. But it will be! ;)

I really like Stormy, which is not in the mod yet. the Rowan’s sword is also cool, but my favourite is Caggo’s Arakh.
Blackfyre or Heartsbane for swords and the king axe of house Celtigar is awesome

I should explain that a lot of the swords will not be directly from lore. It is said there are around 200 Valyrian steel swords in Westeros, and only few are named in the books. So you will currently find and will find many more in the future that are mod canon Valyrian steel swords. This is likely why you were unsure where Disputant comes from. We take in some requests and or sometimes make swords for houses we think could use a cool unique Valyrian steel sword.

I am a big proponent of world building, so having you all take the time to give the items descriptions and storied aspects is really nice 👍🏻

If you take requests/include swords that are slightly obscure house peakes sword Orphan-Maker which while unknown in location could easily be added.

I’m fairly sure the Forrester sword from the telltale game isn’t Valyrian steel, but rather just a decently expensive great sword that they pass down.
Kinda cool they made it one tho, makes trying to do a forrester play through a bit more viable
Imagine playing as the Lannister, marry into house Celtigar, gain their lands in heritage and also Pincer for the +15% income bonus with the westerlands mines and cities.
I had a thing in my games in CK2, where I always named my sword "Diplomacy".
Hopefully I'll get to reforge and rename my valerian sword at some point in CK3.

It'd be cool if we could reforge Valyrian Steel swords like we could in CK2 AGOT, and based on what house Legacies we had, determine the additional bonuses the new weapon had

This was an awesome video thanks very much for making it, I’ve been curious about all the Valyrian weapons in the game thus far. Thanks for going over the lore too. Would you want to make a video about all the character traits they added into the game? I can’t find any resources going over all of them thus far. Also, in my opinion Skullcleaver is S Tier, that +%50 Dread Gain is so goated

Alternatively: +1 Mil + 1 Stewartship/Diplomacy.
Defensiveness (which is troop specific), Casualty reduction and screening (retinue specific) are the defence stats

As I said in my Forrester video, I think instead they should have a dynastic legacy "secrets of the grove" 10% income and 15% cheaper heavy infantry retinue

Disputant is for House Whent at Roberts Rebellion, at least as far as I have found.

More on Disputant: it has listed as its creator one King Harwyn of the Iron Islands.... who is the grandfather of Harren 'The Black' Hoare. It would seem that Disputant is a sword the mod devs created as an ancestral sword for House Hoare, giving a Hoare restoration playthrough an additional roleplay objective of reclaiming it from House Whent.

@@rafrecon you made it? Looks freaking awesome. Is it enabled in the mod? Most of the characters are using chainmail and tabbards in my games. I figured i screwed up somehow. Only Northman and Stormlanders are using the armors

There is a glitch in which heartsbane grants 1000 percent movement speed and let's Randall tarly chase you at unbelievable speed
That got fixed.

currently doing a umber play through in this mod ultimate goal is to somehow get my hands on one of the swords.
Wow they added a lot of new swords, even if a lot of these aren’t canon it definitely helps add flavor to the game
You should do one for the other artifacts like dragon eggs armor and other items

as head of clan Kingmaker then we want our sword back in ck3 as we had it in ck2 and our family is named after it and we have held it ever since our clan moved over from east as mercenary army.
In my game Disputant is the sword of house Whent of Harrenhall. It fits the sigil of their house representing dark bats on a golden field. I think it may be a reforged version of Dark Sister. After all the Whent are lords of Harrenhall, the fortress near the shores of the God's Eye...

dark sister was recovered from the gods eye, not lost. Brynden Bloodraven took it with him to the wall
In my current campaign as Lord Walter of Whent of Harrenhal I have Disputant. I picked him from game start.

I'm honestly surprised there's no Targaryen swords like Blackfyre and Dark sister
I think it's due to the start dates they currently have, also there were a few in the list that weren't implemented yet, so they're definitely not done

They are created just not implemented. They have been shown off.
They have stats and models for them. You can add them to the game pretty easily by editing the files and adding them with console. They are simply commented out in two places in common/artifacts.

Yeah it’s a little odd considering there are other anachronistic artifacts like Aegon I’s crown or Vigilance
Bright roar looks really good and has a surprisingly hard to find effect so i think I rate it at #1. Wyrmfang has a really good effect that works well with other effects but it just dosn't look very good to me so it goes to #2.
Disputant might be dark sister, it’s only a theory and probably not likely but the name itself “disputant” tells us that no one agrees on its origins, I also think it darkeister and not blackfyre because of its physical shape but also because Darksister never technically left Westeros whereas Blackfyre was brought to essos

House Drumm just handed Red Rain over to me (Quellon Greyjoy) in exchange for making their crappy lil island of Old Wyk a March. So I think that's my favourite now.
I get that they are going to be adding non-cannon swords but I feel like lamentation should be an exception as we know what happend to it. I belive t was lost during the dance after Willem Royce was killed by the mob.
Mayhaps Disputant is gonna be wielded by fAegon? It has a certain Blackfyre vibe and since the sword Blackfyre itself is considered lost it would make sense for the famously rich Illyrio Mopatis to buy the Young Griff a proper valyrian steel sword.
Wyrmfang is bugged for me. It is in possession of Rodrick Dustin but when you look at the weapons history, it's shows William in possession.
Question how do I hold my sword on my character I’d like to have it on my portrait but every time I try it don’t let me keep it displayed on my character. Thank you in advance
i think buffs are changed later.. in my game, some of those swords give different traits. for instance; pincer gives monthly steward lifestyle monthly %number rather than monthly income. Or, Nightfall give martial lifestyle % rather than raiding-reaving bonus.
Also, i think they took back artifacts from some houses. in my gameplay neither house royce or corbyn or dayne has those swords which is sad :(
Can't seem to find Lamentation. It's clearly in the game as i can see it in the barbershop. Blackfyre and Dark Sister are also there. Is it just simply put there for now, without any owners? Tried to look at all characters in the Royce dynasty to see if someone got it, but no.
Lamentation was lost during the Dance of the Dragons so the current Royces do not have it.
Ok, Brightroar is the best weapon in the game because the mod gutted all development growth so having some is amazing.

I cant get the ID's to work in console after newest patch, how do you find the updated versions? In my Steam mod folder, the agot_artifacts notepad list is completely empty. Before I could add them, now I cant. I keep getting Effect is empty. Check error log.
Sounds like an issue with the build/your mod files. Try unsubscribing and resubscribing to the mod in the workshop

Hello everyone, I have not seen the complete video but I was curious to know if there was any way to create a sword for our own character, I have not had time to test the MOD a lot so I had that little doubt

Is Pride statted correctly? Hostile Scheme Success Chance: 5% is shown in red because it is a negative modifier meaning that the wielded of the blade has a 5% lowered chance of hostile schemes succeeding. The correct stat would be Hostile Scheme Resistance: 5% is it’s actually supposed to protect you from hostile schemes.
I just thought it was a joke. if the house is known for being bad at scheaming.
i thought the best vanilla swords go up to 11 prowess? is everything rebalanced in the mod? because 9 seems pretty bad in comparison, there is also no additional buffs? most swords give prestige in vanilla too if they are purple.
I think there's a definite rebalance going on. This is early beta remember and they've got at lot of swords to come
ah its early beta? ill wait. i started up a campaign beyond the wall and wanted to be the king/emperor beyond the wall, but it seems bugged there are no vassals there and the ai doesnt create vassals. theres also counts with too much land and no gold to make duchies so they sit with 5-200men (captain & maa)
Overall the weapons are cool but they all deserve being reimagined. They should all be illustrious and they should all have great stats but the two handed great sword should probably give 12 or more prowess like an illustrious mace in base game does. That rapier should give less prowess maybe plus six but have other cold bonuses. That one weapon’s 5% light cavalry maintenance should be buffed and buffs like that given to their weapons.
Fact is the AGOT mod just came out and there is a lot to look forward to in the future, I can’t wait.
Yeah a full on balance pass will probably be secondary to feature implementation. Everything is really promising though
@@Midgeman That’s the bast part, everything is really cool and it only just now came out. They’re getting flooded by suggestions I’m sure. Luckily between basegame, normal mods, and other major mods like EK2 and PoD there’s a lot to play while I wait for major changes.
Although I guess treated as such in the mod, Dawn is NOT Valyrian Steel. Also I love the patterns on the steel of the blade in the models
Also, CK2 version of the mod had a bunch of imagined named Valyrian steel weapons, not only swords but axes, spears etc; for the player to obtain or craft (with names like Justice, Harbinger, Lion's Fury etc; and each with a different look) so I am excited for when those come back too

There was an updated pushed recently which broke some of the spawns. I'm going to be producing a video on my new channel with the new codes soon as I can get them!
Not sure why, but in my game Skullcleaver gave me 13 prowess rather then 9. Lucky lucky lol

maybe they changed it. Vanilla illustrious swords go to 11 so its a bit weird if Valyrian swords would be only 9. (unless they rebalanced the mod)
Why do i always get the "effect is empty. Check error log" everytime i try to spawn a sword i've tried putting my character's id and even historical id

I have been playing a western play through and tranquility is not showing up for house Brax… could be bugged
I did have to spawn these most of the time from the game files. They might be tied to an event or the other start date perhaps?
At the moment they don’t spawn in correctly and the house head doesn’t have them- often the youngest patrilineal living male holds the sword, which means that they appear in any start date but often are held by children of the correct owner. We will improve on this is subsequent builds, but they are all in game and held by someone from the correct family.

I think so, but there's been reports that some of them have had trouble spawning on the correct person in the beta - it will always spawn on a male of the correct house though
The devs needs to get in contact with the mod makers and come to some kinda deal. This is such a great addon for a game I would otherwise not consider buying.
Bruh, maybe I’m doing something wrong and blade master traits are actually easy to get in this mod BUT it feels impossible to get “The Sword of The Morning” title. My campaign went to 620, my leaders would consistently get up to 60+ prowess but instead some random Dayne in 536 would FINALLY get the title and Dawn at which point it was given to another random Dayne. The only thing they had was blade master traits which just rankles.
Hey dude ive found something awesome out, theres 2 new valyrian steel swords i have discovered, evergold is a new sword that is the valyrian steel sword of house rowan, and remige is another new sword that is the sword of house cargyll. theres a bunch of other ones but i havent been able to find all of them, make sure to be on the lookout, have a good day man
edit: also house wyl has a new valyrian steel weapon, i just found out a minute after making this

10:03 if i understood you right, it seems you read that value as being good fr you, but it is not
It is actually a penalty. Your schemes will have -5% success chance.
If it was for protection against schemes it would say "scheme resistance" not "scheme chance". So that sword would be the worse since it actually gives you a penalty.
At least it is how it is presented, it could also be a bug, but i doubt it.

It's quite likely you're right here and I got confused in my scripting. If this is the case I'll make a note to make an update of that in my next part, whenever that is!

@@Midgeman yeah, but i just find a bit odd that they make that sword in particualar having a penalty. Maybe there is something in the lore that i either forgot or dont know, but still, seems a bit odd.
It is like with the special buildings. Most of them have pretty good bonus, but Harrenhal gives you a lot of penalties, but that makes sense, since in the lore that keep is believed to be cursed. But with the sword, im still trying to figure it out.

Some have been removed I recent updates to the beta to fix bugs or they may not appear in the timeline yet!
Iron Will isn’t Valyrian steel, so idk why it’s considered Valyrian steel in the mod
Good question. Iron Will is not canon in the lore itself, just in the telltale game. We have lover of that game on the team, and he wanted to make the sword. We needed more VS swords (again, we need to fill the 200) so it was chosen that it would be made into valyrian steel.
I feel it makes sense, honestly having a few northern Greatswords makes sense for the older houses as you could argue them as sister swords etc
