Dan is amazing! I am a PK (Preacher's Kid) and was in church in utero. My family is also very musical. I play several instruments and sing. I've heard this performed in hundreds (if not thousands) of ways throughout my lifetime. My beloved Granny played the harmonica beautiful and as a teenager at family gatherings, we'd gatger around the piano (which I played) and would sing as she played harmonica and I played piano and this gives me chills EVERY SINGLE TIME I hear it! I try to listen to it once a day if not more! It is, IMHO, the hands-down best version ever performed. I feel like all of Heaven stopped to listen! I can't wait to sing this in Heaven together to our Heavenly Father!! Until then, stay blessed! In English it is called a harmonica so you were very close. His now deceased father gave it to him in childhood. He poured all of his considerable skill and strength into this 250 year old hymn and it shows. This Brazilian metal singer studied voice for at least 10 years to be able to do this. Dan Vasc is very addicting Samantha. And a lot of us are addicts. Luckily he has been putting songs on his you tube channel for something like 10 years so there's more than 200 videos covering a wide variety of musical styles to help. For those who wonder, he has stated he is a Christian and put this out for Easter. Try "Dawn Over a New World" his cover of a Dragonforce cover and "Angels We Have Heard On High" metal cover. Another is Mulan (metal cover) "Ill Make a Man Out of You."

Dan has many videos in different genres and styles and every one if them is great. with the holiday season approaching, I would like to recommend his version of the "Hallelujah Chorus" in which he performs all the parts. It shows his range, but considering that he arranges, records, and produces all his own videos (with the help of a few friends when needed), it is also very impressive for the amount of work that went into it.
