This popular myth surrounding the queer shaped mountain summit of Pieter Both is the only folk story around fairies in Mauritius. It recounts the fate of a humble milkman turning prosperous and of his friendship with fairies. But a huge secret bound them to utmost secrecy.

I lived underneath this beautiful mountain at Vallèe des Prêtres. My grand mother told me this story. I miss my mountain.
