🔸Seethawaka Wet Zone Botanical Garden / තෙත් කලාපීය උද්භිද උද්‍යානය සීතාවක 🌿💙💚🇱🇰
ලංකාවේ උද්භිද උද්‍යාන ලැයිස්තුවට උද්‍යාන 5ක් ඇතුලත් වෙනවා,
1 පේරාදෙණිය උද්භිද උද්‍යානය
2 හග්ගල උද්භිද උද්‍යානය
3 හෙනරත්ගොඩ උද්භිද උද්‍යානය
4 සීතාවක උද්භිද උද්‍යානය
5 මිරිජ්ජ විල උද්භිද උද්‍යානය
මේ අතරින් එකම තෙත් කලාපීය උද්භිද උද්‍යානය තමයි සීතාවක තෙත් කලාපීය උද්භිද උද්‍යානය.
2008 වසරේදී තමයි මේ සුන්දර උද්‍යානය හදන්න පටන් අරන් තියෙන්නෙ. 2014 තමයි ජනතාවට බලන්න විවෘත කරන්නෙ.
හෙක්ටයාර 43ක් එහෙමත් නැත්තන් අක්කර 106ක් පුරා පැතිරුණු මේ උද්‍යානය අදියර කිහිපයක් යටතේ ඉදිකිරීම් කරගෙන යනවා. තවත් කොටස් ඉදිරියේදී උද්‍යානයට එකතු වෙන්න තියෙනවා.
උද්‍යානයට පිහිටලා තියෙන්නෙ බස්නාහිර පළාතේ අවිස්සාවේල්ල ඉළුක්ඕවිට ප්‍රදේශයේ.
කොළඹ ඉදලා එනවනම් කොළඹ අවිස්සාවේල්ල පාරේ කිලෝමීටර් 46ක් වගේ ඇවිත් පුවක්පිටිය කෝච්චි ස්ටේශන් එක ගාවින් දකුණට හැරිලා කිලෝමීටර් 6ක් වගේ එන්න ඕනේ.
පාදුක්ක අවිස්සාවේල්ල පාරේ එනවනම් අවිස්සාවේල්ල පැත්තට කිලෝමීටර් 17ක් ආවම උද්‍යානයට එන්න පුළුවන්. පාදුක්කෙන් විනාඩි 30න් 30ට් බස් තියෙනවා. පාර අයිනෙමයි උද්‍යානය තියෙන්නෙ.
අරමුණු කිහිපයක් අනුව තමයි මේ උද්‍යානය හදලා තියෙන්නෙ.
- පහතරට තෙත් කලාපයේ වනාන්තර වලය අයත් වෘක්ෂලතා සංරක්ෂණය කිරීම. ( විතැන් සංරක්ෂණය කියන්නෙත් මේක)
- මේ ප්‍රදේශය පාරිසරික සංචාරක කලාපයක්/ මධ්‍යස්ථානයක් ලෙස සංවර්ධනය කරලා ආර්ථික වර්ධනයක් ඇති කිරීමත්
- තෙත් කලාපයේ තියෙන භූ දර්ශන වැඩිදියුණු කිරීමත්, ශාක වර්ග දැකගැනීමට, ඖෂධීය ශාක පිළිබඳව, උද්භිද විද්‍යාව හා මල් වගාව පිළිබඳ අධ්‍යනය කිරීමට හා පුහුණුව ලබදීමත් අරමුණු කරගෙනයි.
උද්‍යානය කොටස් කිහිපයකින් යුක්ත වෙනවා. ඒවා තමයි,
1. තේ වගාව
2. මීවන වගාව
3. රුක් උයන
4. තර්ජිත ශාක එකතුව
5. තාල ශාක එකතුව
6. රෝස උයන
7. ඖෂධීය ශාක වගාව
8. මධ්‍යම තෘණ පිටිය
9. කොටස් 3කින් සමන්විත වැව
මේ අතරින් මගේ හිත වැඩියෙන්ම ඇදිලා ගියේ මීවන උද්‍යානට. ලස්සන දිය පාරවල් අතරින් හදලා තියෙන අඩි පාරක් දිගේ ගිහින් තමයි මීවන උයන බලන්න තියෙන්න.
උද්‍යානය පුරාවටම වගේ වතිර පිරුණු පොකුණු, ඇල පාරවල් ගොඩක් තියෙනවා . ඒවා උද්‍යානයට එකතු කරන්නෙ වෙනස්ම විදියේ සුන්දරත්වයක්.
වැව් 3න් පළවෙනි කොටස තමයි බෝට්ටු වලට වෙන්කරලා තියන්නෙ. හංස බෝට්ටු පදිනවනම් උද්‍යානය ඇතුලට එනකොටම ටිකට් කවුන්‍ටර් එකෙන් ටිකට් එකක් අරන් එන්න ඕනේ.
මේ උද්‍යානය ගොඩක් අය අතරේ ප්‍රසිද්ධ වෙලා තියෙන්නෙ චායාරූප වලට. උද්‍යානයට ඇතුල් උන ගමන් වෙඩින් කපල් සුලභව බලන්න පුළුවන්. පොටෝ ගන්න හිතන් එනවනම් කලින් වෙන් කරගෙන එන්න ඕනේ.
කොළඹ ඉදන් පැයකටත් අඩු වෙලාවකින් එන්න පුළුවන් මේ සුන්දර හරිත ලෝකයට ගිහින් බලන්න. ඝෝෂාකාරී ශබ්ද වලින් මිදිලා ගහකොලවල කුරුල්ලන්ගේ මිහිරි නාදය මිදලා එන්න එන්න.

The construction of this beautiful garden started in 2008. It will be opened to the public in 2014.
Spread over 43 hectares or 106 acres, this park is under construction in several phases. More parts are to be added to the park in the future.
The park is located in Avissawella Ilukowita area of ​​the Western Province.
If you are coming from Colombo, you have to drive around 46 km on Colombo Avissawella Road and turn right at Puwakpitiya train station and drive around 6 km.
If you come from Padukka Avissawella road, you can come to the park after 17 kilometers towards Avissawella. There are 30 buses every 30 minutes from Padukka. The park is on the roadside.
This park has been built according to several objectives.
- Conservation of forest vegetation in the lowland wet zone. (This is also what space conservation is all about)
- Developing this area as an eco-tourism zone/centre and creating economic growth
- Aims to improve the landscape in the wet zone, to study and train in plant sightings, medicinal plants, botany and floriculture.
The park consists of several parts. They are,
1. Tea plantation
2. Fern cultivation
3. Arboretum
4. Collection of endangered plants
5. Collection of palm plants
6. Rose garden
7. Cultivation of medicinal plants
8. Central Grassland
9. Tank consisting of 3 parts
The first part of the 3 lakes is reserved for boats. If you want to ride swan boats, you have to get a ticket from the ticket counter when you enter the park.
This park is famous among many people for its photographs. As soon as you enter the park, you can often see wedding couples. If you want to take photos, you should book in advance.
Visit this beautiful green world that can be reached in less than an hour from Colombo. Come away from the loud sounds and enjoy the sweet chirping of the birds in the greenery.
