i had an ECX AMP and that thing was awesome for tge 4 days we drove it then i crashed it into a dried up pond with a rock base and it started to sound like that so i never used it again because i didnt want it to catch on fire

what traxxas should do is create a custom bumper that "folds" like an arm and got shocks horizontaly attached to it. When the car takes a bad landing, the shocks on the bumper absorb it and you get to enjoy your fully undestructible xmaxx
People would pay for that upgrade whether made by them or someone else
Tamiya had some vintage Modells with such force absorbing bumpers.
But there is nothing that can withstand the force of being controlled by Kev.
When people complain that you abuse your rc cars too much. But you paid for it and it's yours to do as you please. And you don't mind spending the money to fix it. They are just haters

I find it informative and entertaining, that you do this kind of "testing" and nobody else does this as excessive as you and your team and exploiting every weakness and showing also how tough and durable some rc cars are. but it hurts everytime seeing those nice, disirable and expensive rc cars being crushed and wasted

when you have thousands of people just pouring money into your pocket cause of youtube watch time then you pretty much can buy a few cars a week and just give the fans what they want im sure he wouldn't do that kind of testing if he had to work hard for his money like 90% of us do !!!!!
These cars are 100% repairable and he always repairs them. Also, he makes a lot of his money on ebay. The problem is that CZcams is a gamble, you don't have a surefire chance of making millions. The ebay course works for most people that are willing to put the time into it.

I gotta say, i love watching your hard bashing videos to se how much an RC can endure tough punishment, but full on carnage has awaken something in me, and now I am really curious about what would happen in a full front collision between two RC in terms of damage. Very entertaining as Always Kev!
My son crashed his Maxx V2 head on full speed (on grass so prob 35mph? head on into my Maxx V2 which was going about 10mph.
Mine survived with no damage
he broke the lower half of his front bulkhead in two.
He later crashed his full speed square into a concrete curb on pavement so probably 45mph or so. This time he only
broke both the lower and upper front bulk head into multiple pieces
snapped a toe link,
cracked the front shock tower where the front bulkhead tiebar passes through, and cracked the bead of the tire off the rim.
the mini maxx is amazingly tough.

It’s really amazing how far rc trucks have come since I was a kid. I still remember my first TRAXXAS! It was awesome. But so weak compared to todays stuff.
hey kev, i usually double side tape my esc to my chassis but everytime on the 10nth jump it pops out! how do you make it stay put all the time?

2wd slashes can take one hell of a beating and I've smashed mine into walls (not on purpose) and I haven't had to fix anything after a few weeks of non stop bashing and rolling

I have a stock rwd rustler, ran it full speed into a telephone pole ~35 mph, the ONLY thing that broke was like the black plastic thing that holds the front axle and shocks to the body, was like $20 to fix and easy. My rustler is pretty tough
Every time I take my Slash out I'm sure I've destroyed it. I pick it up, give it a look see, and nothing has even thought about breaking. I freaking love that truck.

Last truck I had was a tmaxx in early 2000s it was nitro and fun but these new ones are awesome. Can't wait to try one
A far cry from what my first 10th scale would have taken. Aluminum frame at 50 would have killed it. And that was a $700 Nitro powered car back in 1998. The worst I did to it was nip a curb without the body at around 25. Sheared off the LF wheel & control arm and bent the cooling head. I believe to this day that crash is why it kept blowing head gaskets. I never replaced the head or the block after that - and ran it for 3 years after the wreck before selling it. Aside from a few hub carriers, that car was pretty tough.
