Acoustic Research XB Turntable Tear Down

Welcome to the first part in a series about this fantastic Acoustic Research XB turntable and my rebuild with modifications. The XB is very similar to the XA so a lot of this is still applicable to both versions, albeit with small differences.
A huge source of my learning and information about these turntables comes from online forums and especially the late Marc Morin from the US who was a huge presence on the Audiokarma forums. Go and have a search of his writings and you will immediately understand how knowledgeable he was.
