dimensions have no correlation to portals, dimensions are just the space taken up by polygons, in different laws of physics, shapes in the 4 dimension deal with time, you would have no clue what you would be looking at, like how a 2-dimensional object or creature sees us, 2d, we would be bound by our 3 dimensions, and it's impossible to travel through them, and there is a probability that there are infinite dimensions, and to achieve the tiniest hint and crossing you would have to move at the speed of light, which is impossible, moving at light speeds crushed you, and time dilation, starts to kick in if you went faster than the speed of light no one would see you but you would see the end of the universe happening very fast, and by the time you stopped moving at those speeds there would be no more stars in the universe, or planets left as atomic decay will happen in every atom in the universe, and not the slightest trace of anyone wbeong here will exist due to the universe only expanding and speeding up exponetially since its firey birth. This is caused by the exertion of dark energy.
