My Dad and Uncle worked on the show at the BBC and what Brendan says about the importance of behind the scenes is 100% true. He is great with everyone no matter their job title. If you work on the show you are family. I have one of the crew passes from the first x-mas special and it even has on it Mrs Brown Family. I was fortunate enough to get to go and have a snoop around the set a few years ago and that was a lot of fun (the sofa is one of the comfiest things I've ever sat on haha). I met them all after they did d'musical and they were the nicest bunch of folk you could meet. It was really busy with a lot of folk wanting photos and autographs etc but they took the time to make sure everyone got what they wanted. Brendan even came back to take a photo with us because we didn't manage to ask him when he signed our books. Its a shame that the people who dislike it feel the need to totally bash it and the people who like it the whole time. I mean you don't have to like it but at least respect those who have worked hard to make it and Brendan himself after the hardships he faced in life making it to where he is and not forgetting the people who helped him get there. My dad said that working on that show and with them reminded him of our family in just how close they all were and that family is more important than anything else.
I'm sure they are nice people but the show is abysmal. It could have a billion fans & it would remain so. A comedy show stands or falls by two things, writing & performance, the writing & performance in MBB are utterly woeful. I can ony think the people who think it's funny have not seen any other comedy or are just terminally stupid.
Here in America during the pandemic lock down I discovered “Mrs. Brown’s Boy’s”. What a gift during such a tumultuous time in our country. It has brought me so much joy! I watch it every single night and it puts me in such a happy state of mind! I’m so grateful for it! I fell in love with the entire family! Thank you so much!

I’m in Florida and I just found this show a month ago and I absolutely love it I know that they love to tour but we don’t get to see that over here so that’s kind of sucks and we don’t even get to see the show I get to see bits and pieces of it on CZcams I wish Netflix would pick it up so that we could watch all five seasons or it’s four seasons I’m not for sure but please does anyone know if they’re going to do more seasons I so hope so I found one channel on here where I’ve been able to see about 20 shows but I would love to see all of them probably maybe 15 full half hour shows but I try to order it but Amazon is sold out but I so hope they’ll keep doing the series
When my husband was alive we used to watch this show all the time. It was so funny. After my husband died of cancer in 2018 I can no longer do the things that we used to do together. I just cry. things we enjoyed together , I can no longer do without him by my side. I loved him FOR 43 ,years and still do. he was my Angel.

Some people are afraid of strong emotion. I'm not. I can identify with Agnes Brown's family dynamics. Reminds me of my own family. Poor and broken but very honest and loving. I am Australian born with Irish and English ancestory. Until I visited London and Ireland aged 33 years in 1990 I thought my family were strange until I visited the UK full of people just like my family. I felt at home with my tribe for the first time in my life. The colourful language is very normal for some Irish people and never offended me.

The Bloopers and Outtakes are really good too! :D I'm just totally curious, are you able understand the accents and follow the train of thought or do you find it difficult to follow?! I would have thought Brendan O' Carroll himself speaks really really fast himself and even I sometimes have to listen well or concentrate hard to know what he is saying! And the other Dublin accents on the Show too... But you mention you enjoy it, so perhaps you are good at picking up accents?! Or maybe you're familiar with the Irish.... : ) I still love watching the same Shows over and over again! Hopefully he will bring out new material! : )

In my case, though, I've been a fan of TV from "across the pond" since I was a kid many years ago. Now that the Internet has made it way easier to watch foreign TV, much of what I watch is either from the UK, Ireland or Australia - before that, I got what I could on DVD (Father Ted, Red Dwarf, of course MPFC, Little Britain, and so many more.) These days you'll find me watching MasterChef AU or Britain's Got Talent (welcome back Ant!) and secretly hoping BBUK will come back one day. LOL! Strange for a Yank, eh?

I would have thought Brendan O' Carroll himself speaks really really fast himself and even I sometimes have to listen well or concentrate hard to know what he is saying! And the other Dublin accents on the Show too... But you mention you enjoy it, so perhaps you are good at picking up accents?! Or maybe you're familiar with the Irish.... : ) I still love watching the same Shows over and over again! Hopefully he will bring out new material! : )
I love the accents and sometimes I do have a hard time understanding him. I am part Irish ☘️! When they get to laughing so do I most times.
@@inastormydaze2044 Los Angeles native here =) Personally (and I know this isn't the norm), I find the accents pretty easy to understand, and I get most of the slang - though the "Magee" thing was over my head. In my case, though, I've been a fan of TV from "across the pond" since I was a kid many years ago. Now that the Internet has made it way easier to watch foreign TV, much of what I watch is either from the UK, Ireland or Australia - before that, I got what I could on DVD (Father Ted, Red Dwarf, of course MPFC, Little Britain, and so many more.) These days you'll find me watching MasterChef AU or Britain's Got Talent (welcome back Ant!) and secretly hoping BBUK will come back one day. LOL! Strange for a Yank, eh?
I agree. I honestly prefer Irish and English shows more than American ones.
We love it in Canada as well, I have introduced so many people to Mr. Brown and I haven't had an issue understanding or getting the jokes

I love listening to Brendan talk. My dad, I believe we're of Irish descent, his name was Conley. And when I watch Brendan talk he reminds me of my dad so much, he's been gone 20 yrs now. I love mrs. Brown's Boys. I'm glad America is getting to know this amazing comedian & family.

I agree! We need more programs like Mrs Brown’s Boys. ESPECIALLY IN THE STATES! I have to watch it on Brit Box, but I don’t think we get ALL the seasons. It jumped from Season 9 to a Christmas Special season 11! When can we see seasons 10 and 11???❤
