You can see just how tired Mark is here, this was recorded at the end of their Brothers in Arms tour, which went on for a year😮 and it was the biggest ever music tour in Australia until Ed Sheeran in 2017-2018 which is astounding.
I still have the VHS and music cassette I made from the live simulcast from EON FM. This was a big deal. I saw their first opening date in Melbourne. I spent a night in a queue to get the tickets. The best thing about this, is the bit you don't include. Mark comes on with his National Steel, and segues it straight into Romeo and Juliet. When I saw them two weeks earlier in Melbourne Mark blinded me for about two minutes when a big lime flashed off that guitar straight into my eyes. A lot of people got the same. I saw lots of people go down as the National shot that lime at them.
I have been watching your channel for about 2 months now, and I like your tastes and choices.....esp. Dire Straits. I'm a native Texan who grew up with the 70's music and into the 80's thru my 20's. I count my generation as very fortunate to have lived thru so many great eras of music, but I must say the rawness and creativity of the 70's is waaaay up there. Pure talent.

In fact, he's had more solo albums than Dire Straits albums ... and he's still such a good songwriter and storyteller.
