I've got the Topshop loafers and love them! I wear them with some pop socks that you can't see when wearing the shoe, it makes them so comfy! Love your testing basics Lizzy x
I have the Topshop loafers, for one week I couldn't walk properly. But after I broke them in they became really comfortable!
I use loafers a lot, but I usually need to use a nylon sock in them just to avoid blisters. It also helps to avoid the sweaty feeling of the naked feet in leather shoes.
Hey! I've had hell finding loafers to the point in which I bought hand made ones from Crockett and Jones. Am also warning people to resolve leather soled shoes! Get your money's worth if you're buying expensive shoes! Yesterday, I nearly bought the Gucci loafers but found the topshop ones. I've never found fairly cheap loafers that fit me. They're either too tight on the toes or rub my heel. I wear a loafer sock with my topshop ones and they've been absolutely fine to wear. I would remind everyone that loafers are for loafing. Not for trekking around, as much as there's the temptation :)
I might have written this before, but a testing basics of button downs would be great - maybe it would fit in the transition to fall.

I have the topshop ones, got blisters the first time i wore them. Let my feet heel, wore them again (not for a long amount of time) and they were absolutely fine! Now super comfy and cool, worth the initial pain haha
I've had the Topshop loafers since May and they're so comfortable and haven't rubbed me at all! I just HATE how wide fitting they are! X
I have the Topshop loafers in two colors and I think they're very comfortable. I will say that put heel liners in most of my shoes before wearing them to prevent blisters. I also put rubber soles on the bottoms to prevent slipping. I really love this basics series. Can't wait for the next video.

When I saw this video I fell in love with the Jigsaw loafers (and overall you made me fall in love with the brand by showing your beautiful jacket all the time), and I've been saving up and just bought them in black! :)

I have been looking forward to this one for weeks! Loved it! I am lusting over the Gucci ones, but since they're a little out of my price range, I might just pick up the uterque ones. I thought about the topshop ones, but now I'm not so sure anymore.

I have a pair of topshop (soft leather) Karpenter loafers at £45 and they haven't rubbed once! They are my most comfortable shoes. Maybe give them a try instead of the £65 pair because I do think the leather was softer. I do have quite narrow feet though! I also have a pair of the libby topshop loafers in pink, beautiful colour and not a blister in sight. I would love a gucci pair, thanks for a great review 😊

Do you suggest for Loafers to be a little bit bigger or very fitted. I just got some loafers and they fit a bit big and I don’t know if I should get a smaller size. It’s my first pair so I don’t have experience wearing them.

Any particular reason why you chose to test the Topshop Karter over the Kendal, Lizzy?
You can put some cream or baseline where shoes usually rub you. It makes a difference! And it helps stretch the shoes.

Hi lizzy! I really loved this video. I love the Gucci s but bit in ny budget atm so I got the topshop ones and they are lovely I feel bad that yours gave you blisters but I haven't had a bad experience with them. Just thought I would say that in case anyone else loved those shoes too :)

love all of these loafers. my only advice is to wear socks! they sell the little cutout socks to wear with flats that are completely hidden.

I have the Toyshop ones in both silver and black and i wear little socks that you can't see with them otherwise they do rub the back of my ankle. I usually wear socks with shoes anyway so doesn't bother me at all :)
Do the Gucci loafers run true to size?
I find with high street shoes no matter where I buy them, I always get blisters until they are broken in

I tend to find topshop loafers in general destroy my feet! I love their ankle boots though. I got a very similar style to the Gucci loafers from office called Destiny for around £60 if anyone's after a cheaper alternative x
I've been trying to find a reason why buying the gucci loafers is a bad idea as they are just so expensive for flats, but i think i'm going to have to take the plunge! Like you say cost per wear will be so low and finding comfortable shoes seems to be so hard these days. Loving this series, cant wait to see the next!
YESSS do it!! I know what you mean about them being expensive for flats - when I first starting investing in shoes I only wanted to buy heels and shoes that felt v special, but I never ended up wearing them as much as the classic pieces! xx

Great video! It's so hard to find comfortable flats! There's such a large range in price too! Can you do a video on that (basic flats)? Also, testing basic white t-shirts would also make great video!

Thanks for sharing, I always found your video very helpful. Can I ask what did you put under neath your Gucci loafers? I know you did mention it in video but I still couldn't catch the words(English is not my mother tongue language). Are those rubber things noticeable when you wear them(the thickness makes them taller)? TID.
vivian hu rubber soles - you get them done at a "cobbler" or shoe maker, they'll add a layer of rubber onto the bottom of your shoes, it's very thin so won't add extra height/bulk. Make sure you go to a good cobbler because I think they need to scrape down the surface of your shoes to add the rubber layer properly and for expensive shoes you don't want them to get ruined :)

Loooooove this video! Loafers are my favourite! Also topshop and river island do really good dupes of the Gucci Sling back loafers! I also have those topshop karter loafers but wear them with little socks that you can't see and they're more comfier! - do you prefer the Gucci sling back loafers or the full shoe?

I have mine a UK 10 (I always get a 10 in jackets and coats) and I am about 5"8 - I'm not sure how much different a size smaller would make in the length, so I would go with whatever size you normally do in jackets. It's so beautiful tailored I think I will always look like a blazer rather than a coat too! Xx

those Gucci loafers originally were car shoes for driving. that's why the sole wear off so quickly.
by the way, are you just prone to blisters? I've never gotten blisters from shoes.

In case it might be helpful for someone, ASOS have a really similar pair to the Gucci loafers, called "Movement", but they seem to be out of stock at the moment 😞. Loved the video, as usual, Lizzy, you're doing such a great job!

Can’t you just put some mole skin adhesive on the inside of the shoe where its rubbing a sore on your foot? I would think the mole skin adhesive would feel better.
