0:00 Tokyu 9000 is powered by Hitachi GTO-VVVF, which is very popular by Japanese railway fans. Recently Hitachi GTO goes hard to listen.
4:32 Although the 6300 is IGBT-VVVF, it produces a loud and dynamic sound.
I especially like the GTO-VVVF sounds 👍🏻

Awesome video maxson! Brings back a lot of memories living in japan for a couple years. Jiyugaoka was actually my local station when I was little, used to hear these trains pass by all the time 😄. The train at 0:32 seconds is the Tokyu 9000 series, first constructed around the 1980’s. Lucky you caught them, they are getting retired soon!

used to live in Yoga a few years back and I do miss hanging out on the Oimachi line and listening to the 9000 series
Jika anda ingin mendengar suara C151 unrefurbished cobalah pergi ke Jakarta, disana masih tersisa dua kereta seri 05 yang masih beroperasi. Kereta seri 05 menggunakan sistem propulsi yang sama dengan dengan C151 unrefurbished yaitu GTO-Chopper, suara yang dikeluarkan tentu sama.Tetapi sayangnya kereta tersebut akan menjalani retrofit dalam waktu dekat, jadi saya tidak yakin kereta tersebut masih bertahan hingga akhir 2024. Saat ini dua kereta tersebut beroperasi di Tanjung Priok Line.

7:28 the e233 motor is the best for sure
my fav sounding trains are the 209-1000 chuo line rapid and 23 series yotsubashi line, which has similar motor as SIE and ur first train featured
I'm a fan of Japanese trains, and I find it interesting that there are many trains in Asian countries such as Singapore that have the same sound as Japanese trains. Thank you for the wonderful video.

The Bulgarian capital of Sofia also has a similar sounding engines on the Russian trains of the Sofia Metropolitan Subway when taking off acompanied by the bogies making a loud sound when accelerating

The C751B and LRT Sengkang Line vehicles are made in Japan, so the sound may be similar.

train frequency in the suburbs here is terrible, like 20-45min or sometimes exceeding 1hr
like hachiko line, hokuso line, boso peninsula or saitama/gunma/tochigi
kanagawa headway better cos population density there higher

1:15 Tokyu 9000 Series use Hitachi VVVF-GTO, it's my personal best train sound of all time.. The other Hitachi VVVF-GTO didn't stand a chance

Singapore also has the same sound as the Stockholm metro for the Movia R151..
and the Alstom Metropolis have variable sounds, some with "stages", others not.
R151 seems very quiet compared to previous generations of trains
@@glitchFan2428 I personally think that the sound is too high and twists the eardrums. The Sic allows it to operate at very high frequencies.
R151 sounds similar to London's Elizabeth Line/CrossRail's Class 345 too
Also for Tokyo Metro 05 Series, it looks the same sound from Kawasaki C151. You may find this train in Jakarta. I don't know if Tokyo Metro 05 Series is still running in Japan.

my favourite is the JR E231-1000 pre-refurbished version. a very unorthodox VVVF motor that is slowly becoming extinct. 😢
Hitachi IGBT VVVF crash inverter.There are still a few equipped, especially attached formations with 5 cars.
Mitsubishi IGBT VVVF Tornado/Ghost inverter in E231 -0/-500 was one of the best. But all are updated.

A pity that are no one Japan trains with Siemens melody thus nothing comparable to the C651 train in Singapore. Some of the Keikyu trains used to have it but they got replaced by another motor.
